I know that might not even be possible for me but it is a goal I can try to shoot for.  Who want to join me in the fight? 

Here is a little bit about me.  I'm a mostly SAHM of a 3 year old who has battled weight for along time.  I won and hit my goal last Christmas the stopped.  Over the last few months I gained back 15lbs.  I have lost 5 and have 10 more to go.  If I lose 5 more I can live with that. 

This is a life long battle that I can win!

I'm 38

My highest weight: 235

When I joined CC:  178

Now: 130

Goal 120 to be maintained with a 5lb cushion.

I would like to have a weigh in on Mondays.

I'd like to try too. I'm not very motivated right now and need this to get another 10 lbs off. I am going to do my best to make the goal by the 4th.

I hope this helps motivate you!  My motivation is my daughter and a smaller size pant. LOL

I'm always looking for some extra motivation...one can never have enough! Personally I was looking to lose 5lbs by that June 20th cutoff, but this will keep me on track for a couple weeks after that too!

My first goal since starting CC has been set for july 4th so this sounds great! I'm currently 170 and I know it's a jump but I'd like to be down to 155 by July 4th.

May 25th: not the easiest week. School ended for the semester so there was a lot of going to bars and graduation parties. So, I'm fairly pleased with my results even if I was 1/2 lb short of my goal. This week should be much easier. Hope you're all happy with your results!!!!

    Welcome r4boxer, gymcoach79, nursegirl33, twilightdreams12 and taum!  We are starting off well and that is always the first step.  This is a journey to get more fit and healthy.  I am trying to get a little more exercise by doing dips in the chair while at the computer and trying to do squats and push-ups throughout the day.  I hope to actually get back into weight training by the end of this challenge.  I'm really quite lazy!

    90% of my origanal weight loss was from diet alone.  Studies show that people who successfully maintain there loses, exercise.  Or rather most do.  I worked real hard to lose it and I truly never want to have to start over again.  That is why I need a group.  I need the constant motivation. 

    My downfalls are loaded meat pizzas with extra cheese and anything fried.  Oh and beer!

  • I lost 7 pounds in the last two weeks but have kinda fallen off the wagon.  HELP ME!!!!  10 pounds lets do it!  My goal is 135ish... long way to go so 10 pounds would really help!

    Welcome asmith29 and doriestes!!!  I'm very glad to have you with us. 

    asmith29 7 pounds is great.  Just remember all good things take time and don't set yourself up to fail.  I have been where you are now and if I can do it anyone can you just have to be ready to really want it.  And now you have a support group!

    Beer and cheese are big weaknesses for me, too!  I have to limit to one day/meal a week rather than skip them altogether, or I'd never make it.  ;)

    Hi, I am trying to loose 10lbs. I have a 16 month son and stop breast feeding when he was 12 months, now that I am not breast feeding I have gained 10 lbs in 4 month... (not good) So here I am :)

    I'm in!  Just got back from Paris yesterday so might wait a few days before I brave the scales??  I will weigh in on Friday and then join in with everyone on Mondays if that is ok?  Thanks; I was looking for a 4th of July challenge!  Good luck to everyone!

    Highest weight: dunno, somewhere around 185, 190?  never got on a scale; probably how i got there!

    Beginning CC weight: 173

    Lowest CC weight: 147

    Weight now: probably somewhere around 154...ech, so mad I'm going up again!  OK, here we go!

    Hello Everyone, Yes I am soooo In this.  I 33yrs old with 3 children a 10 yr old son and twin daughters who are 21 months old. Since I have had my girls I have stayed around 140, my average weight pre preg was 115-120.  But because of the long, cold Michigan winter we stayed in alot laying around watching tv,eating:( Plus I think I having been battling some depression,  and I just quit smoking April 4th and feel I great:)When I started this my weight shot up to 152.     Ok I'm gamed.  I joined CC on April 22, and I started at 164.  Today is May 19, and I weighed in yesterday at 151.  I have been really strict on what I eat and have cut out ALL carbs (except for what is in a vegetable).  My goal by the 4th of July, which is my 46th birthday on that day, is 135.

    What do I need to do to join this group?  Oh and by the way, I cannot enter my weight on my weight log so it won't be able to be viewed, although I did contact a moderator for help.  (frustrating)

    To the person who went to Paris.  How can you gain weight in Paris, unless you lived on les croissants et les Croques Monseiurs?  I lived in France for many years, and my thinnest years were living in that country because there is so much less junk in the food and much more walking in the daily lifestyle living there.

    Anyway, please let me know what I need to do to join this group and looking forward to it!

    Welcome to katherineann 1 and tink8!  Katherine BF uses about 500 cals and makes us use to eating more so it can be hard when we quit.  But now you've found us.

    Tink8 how fantastic to be in Paris!  Welcome home!

    Taum I agree I never give anything up completely.  I just try to fill up on healthy stuff first, then I eat to enjoy, not cause I'm hungry.  I think it was Dr. Oz who said eat a small handful of nuts about 20 minutes before a meal to fend of the hunger's.  I might not eat nuts every time but I do try to have a higher protein snack first.

    I hope we are all starting off well.  I'm going shopping with my sister-in-law today.  That means lunch out. I will be strong!  I think I'll go try on my skinny pants.  The look of the muffin top should be enough to make me make good choices!

    Thanks for your kind words.  Ok so I hope there wasn't too much goop on that shrimp Laughing.  I'm off to the market so I'm planning my dinner right now.  Of course, I now have to cook separately for the kids and myself!  Since I had salmon today and yesterday, I'll have to think of something else.  I just had some almonds for a snack and cherry tomatoes.  That was yummy.  If anyone can come up with a good dinner for me (no meat, cheese, or carbs) then I am way open to suggestions!!  Oh, I forgot to have that grapefruit!  Will have that later.

    Wow, Leanne, you've done well.  Down to 130.  That is excellent.  Keep up the good work!  Don't you think you may look a little too thin at 120?

     

    Hi everyone!  Alex, Thank you.  I was 120 in my pics at Christmas last year.  I'm happy to maintain about 125 though. (I'm 5'4 how I look realy depends if I'm lifting weights or not.  I have slowly been getting back into the swing of things.

    I see that you eat fish do you eat beans or lentils?  How about veggies?  I guess I mean when you say no carbs do you just mean processed carbs or all of them?

    I've done a mini cleanse before that had no red meat no dairy and no grains but that was only for five days I think it was Dr. Joey Shulman (or something) It was a good book.  I'm not good at restricting myself.  I like too many foods.  I think that's why I like calorie count so much, nothing is off limits.

    I'm looking forward to tomorrow I hope it's a good day!
