Hello. I just left you a long reply to one of your other posts. I'm not 5'3,", nor 150 pounds and I haven't been in college in a while, but I'd be happy to "listen" when you need someone for that purpose. I have been there. I put on weight in graduate school and am working to get rid of it (finally). I do understand how crazy-making college can be. What are you studying?

thanks for ur replies, that would be nice ecspecially if i fall off the wagon. Im studying exercise science/physical therapy. Lots of nutrition classes and exercise physiology classes. so im full of knowledge just no will power.

Because you're still a teen, you'll want to up that calorie goal to at least 1500 cals/day - I'd say probably 1700 cals/day would be a good target as it would be equivalent to someone in their twenties or thirties eating 1400/day. (I'm in my thirties and still losing - albeit slowly - eating 2000/day. I do get a fair amount of activity, but I'm certainly no gym rat and given that our metabolisms slow as we get older, you should have no problem losing on 1700/day as long as you get any activity at all.)

I'm a female, second-year commerce student, age 19, 5'4", and this morning 149lbs. My goal is to have dropped to AT LEAST 130 by July, but in order to do that definitely need to make it through the April exam season. (I tend to fall off the wagon when I'm super busy and/or stressed). So I think a buddy would definitely be useful.
Since there is a fair number of us, maybe we should create a small group? I feel like a small number of us will really be able to get to know each other and be encouraging on this journey to bikini-body readiness :P
Hey guys becasue i got so many responses (yayy!) i am going to make a group for us college kids 53-5'4 around 150 pounds. we probaly all are dealing with the same stressors so i feel like a group is best.
How about:
Weekly weigh ins, lets do Fridays
and also feel free to post anything in the group about a problem you are having. Also list the goal weight you plan to have for June 1 (Swim season) and your goal calorie intake.
