55 lbs to loose, who wants to join ?
Hi there,
I'm Hosam, from Saudi Arabia, Jeddah city. I'm 21. I've been trying or daydreaming couple years back, that I want to loose weight. I used to weigh 233 pounds. So I have finally started my journey from last Saturday, & I've lost about 13 pounds since then !!! My target is to reach 165 lbs as soon as possible !! Maximamlly within a year !! & of course tuning my body is my second highest target.
My or should I say my friend's diet that I was doing from Saturday was about eating couple of local dates. Not exceeding 21 dates in a daily basis. & Drinking a cup of skimmed or Low Fat Milk, in the same manner. I'm wondering, if I'll be able to lose that much weight within the next weeks ?? I mean loosing 13 Pounds within 5 days isn't lil @ all !!!
The problem with this diet is that U REALLY MISS FOOD !! :( & all other diets that have the same concept might do the same thing, but it shows big results in very few days. Which was very surprising. Of course I won't stick on to this diet, I'll start tomorrow to eat regularly & fewer food than the old days :)
I'm wondering when am I going to reach my peek ?? or what is the most suitable weight for me ??

Your friend's diet is NOT a good idea! You are losing so much protein, vitamins, and minerals from other foods that are SO important to weight loss. Please keep eating fruits, veggies, and lean meats regularly! You may not lose the weight as fast, but at least you will be able to keep the weight off with the lifestyle change. :) Plus, if you feel like you are starving all the time you are more likely to binge when you reach your breaking point.
Small goals is my opinion. Don't look at the big picture. My small goal for now is to lose 3 more pounds and exercise 1000 more minutes by November 1. Looking at the big picture can be intimidating and discouraging!

I have had a friend who does that type of diet here and there, and she always drops the weight pretty quickly. And gains it plus some just as quickly.
It's a pretty unhealthy way to try to drop some pounds.

First, I would like to welcome u & thank u for your reply :)
About my friend's diet, I know that it is a bad type diet, but conisdering of doing it for several days, won't do any harm, besides, I'm done from it :)
I have had put in my mind, that I might do it again, but the problem is, that it's a torture, or u can say prohibiting myself from the things I must to eat !! So I've said that these 5 days were enough for this type of diet.
I'll be eating less than before starting that diet, I hope that I'll be able to maintain & control the way I eat better than before.
The basic idea from that diet was loose weight within the diet days, which happened, & as my friend told me that this diet might help u eat less after when u r done of it.
A good thing about my normal eating style is that I LOVE eating SALADS & Fruits. But the problem is that I didn't use to consider the amount, which means that I used to eat a really big amount of things I like (of course other than Salads & fruits). Hopefully tomorrow I'll observe my style of eating & try eating less of the things that has high calories.
About the 55 pounds GOAL thing, u might be right. But I can't neglect the fact that I must to lose it, so the weight I lose will be a helpful thing to keep in my mind that I've done such a progress, & be optimistic ;)

About such a diet, I heared it a lot, it got frustrated, but hopefully I'll be able to maintain & control after losing this weight, & I've had the ability to ignore hunger or even eating things that I really love :)
In the latter future, I won't such a diet anymore ;)
