Hey there,
I'm looking to lose around 12 lbs. I'm a 5'4" girl around 117 lbs right now. Anyone can join this group for sharing tips and motivation. And maybe we'll have weekly weigh-ins to show our awesome progress! ![]()
Sounds like a good idea. I'm game. I'm 5'4", 55 kg, and looking to lose 5-7 kg. I'm trying to lose inches so I'll probably post inches lost as well as kilos.
hey! im 5'4'' 139lbs and trying to get down to 125 before xmas. my starting weight was 146 and its taken me 7 weeks so far lol - i lost 4 of those 6lbs this week?!? go figure! anywho - i am always in need of more motivation and a general gossip :)
Ok cool! i've been wanting to be a part of one of these groups for a while, but they've always been closed by the time i happen upon them, so i finally decided to make my own. i think it'll be good motivation not to eat that second bowl of ice cream when i know i'll have to share my progress :)
so, i'm thinking we should have a day for weigh-ins. how do mondays sound? i was thinking mondays because then i know that i might not pig out as much over the weekend. but tell me whattya think
i like girl_friday's idea of posting inches, because i know i'm definitely trying to lose a few of those. :)

I'd love to join, too! I'm a girl, as well, 5'7'' and 125 lbs. I want to get down to 110-115 in the next few months. I'm so sporatic in my eating habits. One day, I won't eat anything at all, but the next I'll eat 2 pancakes for breakfast, a big veggie wrap for lunch, and some pasta for dinner, with a milkshake for dessert. And then I'll go all guilty and not eat anything the next day at all. So the vicious cycle continues.
I'm hoping that with the help of you guys, I'll lay off the big meals. Carrot stix & celery 4 life!
5'7" and 125 pounds is on the low end of the healthy body weight for you already...you want to lose more?
im in!!! have been bout 130, but gained a few ponds in the last few days, so im about 133 or so now!! i want to get down to 120-125!!!!
i think ill do my weigh ins on a wednesday, mondays far to close to the weekends!! haha

You and I have exactly the same stats! I recently upped my calories and I feel like I'm going NOWHERE. However I'm also upping my exercise and I'd take building muscle if it made me look leaner.
Congrats Tigzy! Keep up the good work. I have found that these ten pounds are such the pain to keep off!
And I'm all about the Monday weigh in!

girl_friday: you and I have pretty much identical stats. :) I'm 5'4 as well and as for my weight, well it's 55-56kg (121-124ish). I'm trying to get down to 49-50kg (108-110lbs).

Seconded. I'm aiming for the around the same weight as some of you 5'4"-5'6" girls and I'm only 5'1", 100-110 is not healthy unless you're really short and have a small frame, don't do it to yourself, you'll look emaciated and wreck your growth, development and metabolism to boot.
I will admit that I am not overweight; however, there are a few pounds that I would like to shed to feel better about myself. The weight I would lose would not leave me unhealthy and furthermore, I know what the ideal weight is where my body looks slim but not sickly.
Please, please, please do not judge us. It doesn't benefit anyone.

this is why people are judging this group. becuase SOME people are being UNHEALTHY. And not only is it dangerous, it's triggering and disrespectful to those people whose lives have been ruined by eating disorders.

Hmm...I think I'll just ignore ilovechai's comment, because it's not really any of her business how much weight I personally want to lose. Anyway, it's Monday, but I'm presuming no one lost any significant weight in 2 days, lol! I'm still wavering between 124-125, so that goes for myself, as well. Let's keep motivated for next Monday! How about our goals are to lose 1-2 lbs by next week? Sound reasonable?
