2nd week on this lifestyle change.  I started with needing to lose 60 lbs.- have lost ~3-4lbs the first week, feeling a lot better & doing routine exercise (a first in my life).  Anyone else in the same situation?  If anyone needs to lose ~ 60 lbs. & wants a thread to keep track of our progress, just add yourself on .....

I'm here! I'm still plugging away... I've been sick for three weeks now, and my weight's been going up and down like a yoyo - 203 one day, 202 the next etc. but today I hit a new all-time low. And I took my monthly measurements and I'm 1/2 to 1 inch smaller almost everywhere... it's slow progress (I can't SEE it at all myself...) but at least I'm getting somewhere.

SW - 265

Last week - 203

Today - 201

Kajikit that is great!  You are almost to your goal.  Are you going to make a new one or are you going to be happy where you are?  I think it's great that you have really hung in there and just kept plugging away and lost the weight.

YOU GO GIRL!

My original aim was to get to 200lbs, and about three months ago I revised it to 180... I had no idea it would take this long to get here though - eight long months!

My original aims were a) to get to 200lbs, and b) to be able to shop in the regular part of the store for clothes instead of the plus-sized department. I'm 'this close' to the first... and I've achieved the second to a limited extent. I'm size 18/XL...

Alas my weightloss and exercise hasn't had any affect on my bloodpressure... I had it taken yesterday and it's still exactly the same (high) as it was 65 pounds ago - it doesn't seem fair!

Hi everyone.  I just recently have a computer again (since the beginning of this month) & it's so wonderful to see everyone working so hard & supporting each other:)  I was without a computer since the beginning of this year, talk about isolation.  I was also able to look back at my starting wt.- from Sept. 07-- I was 183 lbs.-- well I have been hanging around 161-163 lbs. & can fit into a size 12 jeans-- I was actually up to 16 at the start (& those were tight).  So in spite of myself I've lost ~ 20-22 lbs.  Not as much as my goal was- to be down to 123 lbs. this month- but I do feel & look better.  I hope everyone is doing well & dropping those lbs.......  Glad to be back.

(I think I had to delete ~ 2,000 unwanted emails since I was without my computer.  Is that ridiculous or what?)

Welcome back Boombabies!  And congratulations on your weight loss.  You and Kajikit have hung right in there.  I wish that I could say the same.  But anyway, here I am trying again.  It's great to hear from you guys again.

Yahoo Ladies!  It is so great to see you all in here!!!!
SDMerrill - you are here today and that is what is important!!!
I dropped 2 pounds this week...sitting at 220.6, but I think it is actaully closer to 220 because that weight was after I had 10-12 ounces of Crystal Light.  But anyway, two pounds dropped this week!!!
I am hoping to be at 193 by Christmas...maybe even 189!!!!

I am really happy to be back.  It's kinda funny, but I think without the computer & being able to talk with you guys-- I had really gotten quite depressed.  I've noticed that my wt. loss has really started to happen after I stopped taking the birth control pill (my doc said I had to take due to the premature ovarian failure-- menopause) & due to this site- it has made me very aware of what I am eating & how much.  I have totally gotten rid of soda & over-processed foods & I really think now before I eat just anything-- I think it helps.  Hugs to everyone.  Congrats to all of you that are losing those lbs.,  & congrats to everyone that keeps trying, even if they aren't losing as much as they want to yet-- it is possible:)

P.S.  I had gotten kinda sick of all the water, so I have been drinking a lot of lemon ice tea- crystal light & I love it-- I think that helps cut down on those cals a lot....

It is great to see you back BoomBabies!  I know what you mean about the encouragment from our CC+ friends.  It helps so much it is amazing.  :o)
Today I ran/speed walked my first 5K!!!  (3.1 miles)  I did it in 39 minutes and 28 seconds.  I am hoping next year I can do it in 29 minutes 59 seconds or less.  Had a famous star cheeseburger (delicious!) for lunch afterward from Carl's Jr.  :o)

Congratulations Betsy!!

I haven't seen anyone post to this thread in a long long time... but I just wanted to report that after ten months of dieting and exercise, I lost 66 pounds and reached 199lbs.

I haven't lost any more weight since then, but in the last two months I've lost an inch off my stubborn stomach and some of my clothes are now a 'Large' or a size 16. Next month will be my one-year anniversary of dieting, and we'll see what my figures are then.
