2nd week on this lifestyle change. I started with needing to lose 60 lbs.- have lost ~3-4lbs the first week, feeling a lot better & doing routine exercise (a first in my life). Anyone else in the same situation? If anyone needs to lose ~ 60 lbs. & wants a thread to keep track of our progress, just add yourself on .....
sdmerrill-- you did great, I am really proud of you-- 4 lbs. is a great loss for a week. Keep up the good work!!!
Morning weigh-in! Happy Friday Everyone!
209 this morning, down from 211 last week. ![]()
Way to go stellajo! Boombabies, thanks for the support and sorry you have been sick. I have had the cold also. I am a mother of four teenage daughters and when school starts back they bring home the viruses. hope you feel better soon.
Good Morning TGIF!

You guys have all done great so far. Laurie- hey 1 lb. is gone, that is progress :)
HOOOOORAY! I'm so happy, not to brag on myself, BUT... :-) I gained two pounds over last weekend after my food and beer fest... but I lost all of that plus one extra pound. Woot!
So....
Today: 193
Goal: 130
Hope everyone had a great week. I haven't read the posts yet, but I'm sure we are all on track!
Have a good weekend!!

HURRAY TO ALL AND CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSSES!!
Starting weight: 210
Today: 208.5
Loss: 1 1/2 pounds!!
I lose the most weight on weeks when I drink TONS of water. I aim for 100 oz. a day. I also try to get 25-35 g. of fiber which helps immensely. Just thought I'd share. I probably lose more on food than on exercise but the light exercise I do is slowly but surely toning my body. I've lost 16 pounds from my highest weight in May so I must be doing something right!
Everybody made such progress this week! Sure does make for a nice weekend, and I hope you ALL have a great one!
Hey stellajo- you did great for the week, keep up the good work. You know when I weighed myself I couldn't really see the scale- when I re-weighed myself I was 178.5 lbs.--- gotta have that 0.5 lb. loss for the week, sigh- maybe I should leave the number I put in & just see where it ends up next Friday? Anyway, you guys are really great, it is nice to not feel pressure to do this- with me that just makes it harder- I need to feel that it's a joint effort of support whether I lose each week or not- just as long as I try :)
Hey everybody!
Last week: 180 lbs
This weeK: 180 lbs
Ok ... so I didn't lose anything. I didn't expect to. I didn't work out, I was sick one day. At least I didn't gain! Gotta kick it up a knotch this week!

last week : 203 even

but i'm not disappointed

I don't think we have heard from everyone yet but so far we have maintained or lost a few. We totally rock!
Janeiro-
I had the same thing happen to me. Last week I was 194, then on Monday I was 196, but somehow managed to get down to 193 today. Haha, we must've been drinking the same thing!
Good job! :-)

No I don't think we have heard from everyone & I think we have heard from new ones; but that's OK- this is welcome to all- we all have the same goal & I think we are all pretty laid back, so hopefully people will check in if not later, then even tomorrow is OK with me. You all have done so good. I think we are a great group!
I am definately with you there! I have worked at a gym for the last 5 years and work with a variety of trainers and nutrionists so any help i can be to anyone is great! I love support and positive motivation and glad to see a thread started like this! I am extremely athletic and work out for about 1-2 hours a day 6-7 days a week. My problem is an extremely slow metabolism and a genuine passion for wine, pasta and chocolate! I live in Sonoma, California amongst the beautiful wine country so its hard not to love the simple things in life like a great meal, good friends, and a great bottle of wine. So my other problem is discipline I am very good at keeping myself on the straight and narrow healthy eating wise but definately need the motivation and support from others. Most of my friends believe in Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers but I refuse to join because I have been around this kind of stuff all my life! But the one thing that I like is the support network! So I am trying for 15 lbs by Christmas for my reasonable goal right now! To all those women out there that are working hard! You Go Girl's! Keep Up The Good Work & Stick With It!
Checking in late. I just arrived at the hotel in PA but jumped on the scale this AM before I left.
No change for me. Better than gaining!!
No change for me. Better than gaining!!
No change for me either :-( Start: 190 Today: 190 The nutrition is getting better but the exercise still has a way to go. I'm not giving up, though!
OK, so to those who have stayed the same weight- so what, right- yes, at least you haven't gained, but also-- if we all continue on with this we HAVE to lose some weight- maybe different amounts & at different times--- BUT WE WILL LOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
We just have to continue on & DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

Just wanted to share something simple and new I've been doing the last few days. I am TOTALLY addicted to Kashi's GoLean Crunch cereal. I discovered that by adding 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed to it, the flavor barely changes plus I get an extra 4 g. of fiber to start of my day! Just wanted to share that with everyone. Since flaxseed is very nutty, you can add it to about anything with an already nutty flavor and you'll barely notice a taste change, if at all. But it's really good for you so you might want to give it a try!
I've seen quite a few posts singing the praises of Kashi GoLean ... I'm going to the store today and I intend to pick up a box and give it a try!
