***50-70 lbs. to Lose Club!***
Hey everyone! I decided to make a group for those who need to lose anywhere from 50 to 70 lbs. I think if we do weigh-ins once a week (whatever day works for each person), we can all keep each other motivated. It is possible for most people who join this group to lose mostly all of the extra weight by the end of 2008! We can all use tomorrow as our first weigh-in. Who's with me

Hey, I just got on this page today. I am currently in Iraq and I am over weight :-O I was an 11B (Infantry) but I got messed up and now I am stuck behind a desk. Ever since they put me here I was gaining weight like crazy! I have started watching what I eat now and I have lost 15lbs already, but now that I found this place I think things will be alot easier :-)

Hi guys! Hope you don't mind another newbie here. I actually started weighing myself again on Feb. 3 and started CC later that week, so this is a perfect group for me. I'm hoping to lose about 70 pounds, though losing 50 would thrill me to no end! I've lost over 10 pounds and I already feel a huge difference. I weigh daily but I'm only really counting my Sunday weights. I'm female, 5' 2.5''.

Well I made it. I broke ther 270 mark on a weigh in day. WOOHOOO!! Only 49 lbs to go until the final goal is reached. Rasmom thanks for the feedback about your workouts. I typically go the the gym 4 times a week. Mondays and wednesday I go at lunch and do 45 minutes of cardio to get the blood moving. Tuesday and Thursdays after work I do 45 minutes of Cardio and 45 minutes of weights. Most every day I do 15 minutes of stretching and or a 15 minute walk. The weekends I do not ususally go to the gym but I am usually pretty active with household things and kids. Just have to keep moving.
Hopefully everyone is having a great week. Thursday is take you Daughter/Son to work day. I will be taking my 5 year old daughter for half a day. I will probalby take her to a sewage treatment plant and well sites since she has asked lots of questions about where water comes from and what happens after you flush the toilet. Good thing I can answer those. Keep up the good work everyone.

I am so shocked that I lost this week. It has been an emotional week. Talk about the ups and downs of your child being a teenager. They are so different now a days compared to when I was a teenager. We have been dealing with her behavior issues and it has been stressful on all of us. I pray every night that it will get better. As the week goes on I feel like I am slipping back into depression. I know I don't want to go there again.

Oops, totally forgot to post this week. I'm much happier with my results this week compared with last. Still sticking with my workouts and try to be more active during the day. I've been busy doing some gardening now that the weather is warmer. However, I have terrible allergies and am probably spending too much time out in the fresh air. Woke up this morning and my eyes were nearly swollen shut. Yet, I was still out there again today planting grass seed and flowers. I feel a little better this afternoon though, perhaps my medication is finally starting to work. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Oh yeah, and if anyone has some great suggestions for snacks that are high in protein but low in sugar and fat let me know. I already eat Luna bars (love them!), protein shakes, tuna, & cold cuts - high in sodium :( . Any other ideas out there?

Rasman - I've been eating hard boiled eggs randomly (consider it a new love since Easter :-) ). I like them dipped in fat free ranch. And... As for your allergies, I suggest showering right after you get out from the garden. It'll clean the allergens from you. Plus, the steam from the shower will loosen up your nasal passages.
I haven't posted since the challenge started. :P
I started a new job and was totally focused on work that I completely jumped off the weight loss train. The good thing is I have not gained any weight back. Surprisingly!!

I'm sorry, wendyyy, but what on earth are you doing here??? This is a thread for very overweight/obese people trying to lose weight in a healthy way. You are underweight and striving to be severely underweight, a very unhealthy goal.
Please take a look at the great articles on this site and some of the other threads (especially in the Health & Support forum). You seem young, and there are some ridiculous pressures on young girls these days, but there's still plenty of time for you to develop healthy habits to last you a lifetime. You can do yourself a lot of harm if you keep on with your current mindset. You can feel great and fit and look fantastic while gaining a little much-needed weight. Best of luck to you.
