Hello!  I am 40, 5'6 and weigh 270 ish pounds.  I have just signed on today after my husband came across this site.  I have previously lost quite a lot of weight (5 stone!) with WW but unfortunately put it all back again. I haven't tried for a while so this is yet another attempt - but this time it is going to work!!!I joined a health club last week and have committed myself to going at least 3 times a week.  So far I am enjoying it - I took an aqua aerobics session today and then followed it up with the steam room for some R&R.  I haven't really started on my diet properly yet (I'm waiting on a 'Diet Doctors' book at the moment) but I am trying to eat healthily.  I find that going to the gym makes me think more about what I am eating and 'pricks' my conscience when I start craving food.  It would be great to hear back from anyone with similar goals.Smile

Welcome mathster, I do have similar goals.  I am 32, 5'6 and weigh 250 ish pounds.  I joined calorie-count Jan 4, 08 and am sooooooo glad to have found it!

Congrats on joining the gym and calorie count, it sounds like you are well on your way.  You are going to meet so many wonderful people on here as I have, that will offer much support and knowledge.  I've added you as a friend and look forward to hearing from you again.

Hi. I am also 40 years old.  I am 5'2 and 244 lbs. I just joined the calorie count yesterday.  I started going back to the gym.  I am knew to calorie counting and so I will probably be making some mistakes as I go but I need to make this work so I can feel good about myself again.
