>>60-80lbs to Lose Group!<< (a.k.a "Open Group - 60-80lbs to Lose!")
I have 80lbs to lose until I reach my goal weight. Does anyone else have around 80lbs to lose? If so, post your stats and we can lose the weight together!
Here are my stats:
- SW (Starting Weight): 194lbs
CW (Current Weight): 185lbs
GW (Goal Weight): 104-105lbs - Height: 5' 1"
- Sex: Female
- Age: 18
We're all here to support each other. So, whether you're having a great day or a horrible day, feel free to talk about it here. Post your weight updates whenever you feel comfortable doing so. There is only one rule here: Be kind. Let's not bring each other down.
Good luck!
Edit (July 11, 2008): The group is now open for those hoping to lose 60-80lbs.
Edit (August 2, 2008): Please include how much weight you've lost since joining the group (when you post updates on your weight). I think it'll be good to keep track of this. =)
jodiferjuniper- Definitely great that you were only off the wagon for a month. I was off it for almost a year, though I managed to remain about 10 pounds below where I was at the very start of my weight loss it is so weird to be re-losing the weight I had already lost before, and nothing comes off the same way. (last time my torso lost a bunch of fat really soon into it, and now it's not budging!) So congrats, and hopefully the support of everyone here will help you stick through it (especially through the tough winter months ahead!)
infiniteheart- I started the dance class last night and it was really fun. I have never done dance before, and I came into a class that had been going for over a month now, so it was kindof hard to catch up on the choreography they were doing, but I enjoyed it. Luckily the girl that teaches it is just starting an adult class at a different school this week, so I may try that one too to see if starting from the beginning will make it easier to keep up with. Also, my muscles are more sore today than it has been from any of my targeting exercises or even the power 90 exercises make it. All the moves that they do use the whole body in some way, so it definitely works the body.
And as of yesterday I was 183.5, 10 pounds down from my start 2 months ago. That made me happy. Today there was a higher number on the scale because of the fluctuation but I'm still reveling in the lowest number I have seen on the scale thus far.
Thanks everyone for welcoming me back and helping me forgive my last 4 to 6 weeks of self deprecating behavior!
I'm back and feeling so much better now that the scale is moving in the right direction again!
I'm keeping busy, having fun and the desire to over eat isn't even there.
I'm hosting a brunch on Sunday (20 family members to celebrate my daughter's and father's birthdays) any ideas on some healthy things to serve?
There's always low cal pigs in a blanket with Hebrew National 97% fat free hot dogs. I like the Hungry Girl site: http://www.hungry-girl.com/. Their "Girls Bite Out" and "Chew the Right Thing" pages have GREAT suggestions.
I'm sure lot of us are having parties towards the end of this month, so let us know what you liked and didn't like about the food! :)
Good luck!!
Thanksgiving has just passed for us Canadians.
I'm pretty sure I gained 5lbs from all the food I ate. I'm definitely not weighing myself for a while...
I hope you're all doing well!
Well I was doing fine until I received some bad family news. My mom has cancer. I'm going to stop counting calories for now because I have too much on my plate (what a terrible pun) but I wish all of you the best of luck with everything you do.
:( Sometimes, life just isn't fair. I wish your mom and your family the very best of luck during this tough time.
I really hope your mom gets well!

Hello.. I have about 66lbs to go until I reach my goal weight. I have been a member of CC for a month. I started my weightl oss journey Sept 21st 2008 and have lost 23lbs by counting calories and exercise. Here are my stats.
SW (starting weight) 247lbs
CW (current weight) 224lbs
GW ( goal weight) 150-160

Age - 34

It's been a few weeks since I've checked in...so first hello to the newbies. Angie, did you really lose 23lbs in only 6 weeks! Amazing!
Meg & PKweltz, I'm right around where you are...I started here in March at 232 and now I'm 204. My immediate goal is to have my feet firmly planted in the 190's by Christmas.
Shortcut, if you're still checking in, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I hope she beats it...it's amazing what medicine can do today. My mother has been living with/fighting cancer for 8 years and she's still going strong!
I had an unfortunate set back due to my lack of will power and too much wine last night. But today I am back on track and took a nice LONG walk. About 50 minutes outside. IT was almost 65 today in Connecticut!
Just realized it's been a long time since I've stopped by this thread! I'm down to fluctuating between 214-216.. I hate plateaus. Next week is ttotm though so and I usually pull a larger number the week after that so I'm hoping to break out of it next week.
I've started a challenge to see if Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred really works. It's been tough- those workouts are NO JOKE. I sweat like craaaazy, but it seems to be working pretty well. I haven't lost much pound-wise, but I did my monthly measuring this morning and I'd lost an inch off my waist and my hips since last time. That was exciting. And, since work's been crazy and I haven't had time to go to the gym in weeks it's been a nice way to stay active.
Finding myself a little nervous about Thanksgiving coming up... but one day won't kill me, right? Especially if I make good use of the gym in my mom's condo building. :)
I hope all is well with all of the rest of you!
Hi all new to the site. Need some motovation altho sitting behind a comp aint gonna help but with other people in same boat as me im hoping to finds some friend to chat to online to help me and chat about weightloss and exercse.
I have dieted before but my last 2 attempts to diet have failed.
The first time i dieted i lost 4 stone. I was at the same weight i am now. Now im stuck nothing is budging but then again i just cant get motavated. Lazy i know. So i brought a exercise glider thing. Hoping it will get me active in the comfert of my own home. I dont know how this site works with messages yet but message me if fancy a chat.
Boyfriend is no help he keeps saying i look good EVEN 4 STONE LATER when i know i dont. LOL
Weight= 224lbs
Goal is about 168lbs
Hello all!
I'm relatively new to this site, and am very happy to see a forum containing people with the same goal as me! (Makes it seem more attainable)
Here are my stats:
SW: 232.2
CW: 227.2
GW: 150
In the past 3 weeks of being on calorie count, I've managed to lose 5 pounds, so I'm very excited! I've calorie counted before (not through this site) and managed to get down to my lowest weight of 180, but then regained it once my life became very stressful. I've been trying to jump back on that bandwagon for the past year now, so I'm glad to see that my weight is finally going in the direction I want it to.
Also, congrats to all who've managed to stick to their goal of losing so much weight, it is really quite inspiring to people just embarking on their journey to do so as well. ![]()

Thanks for your kind words and support. I really hope that she beats it too. She is the most important woman in my life and I can't imagine what I would do without her. She is strong, and this has proven to be extremely beneficial to her positive outlook. I just wish I hadn't moved so far away from my family for a job, but.....it's all I could have done. I always strive to do better in life and my parents supported my move -- I just feel guilty because I'm not there.
I will try to get back on the diet train in January once the holidays are over. Right now, life's an emotional roller coaster and I don't want to try to set goals that I can't achieve (and then deal with my failure...).
Thanks again to everyone who has offered their thoughts and support. I'm thinking of many of your successes and using this as a tool to motivate me to stay positive. Thanks!!!
