>>60-80lbs to Lose Group!<< (a.k.a "Open Group - 60-80lbs to Lose!")

Quote  |  Reply

I have 80lbs to lose until I reach my goal weight. Does anyone else have around 80lbs to lose? If so, post your stats and we can lose the weight together!

Here are my stats:

  • SW (Starting Weight): 194lbs
    CW (Current Weight): 185lbs
    GW (Goal Weight): 104-105lbs
  • Height: 5' 1"
  • Sex: Female
  • Age: 18

We're all here to support each other. So, whether you're having a great day or a horrible day, feel free to talk about it here. Post your weight updates whenever you feel comfortable doing so. There is only one rule here: Be kind. Let's not bring each other down.

Good luck!

Edit (July 11, 2008): The group is now open for those hoping to lose 60-80lbs.

Edit (August 2, 2008): Please include how much weight you've lost since joining the group (when you post updates on your weight). I think it'll be good to keep track of this. =)

Thanks for the welcome, Jodifer..It took me about 8 months to lose 80 pounds...then I maintained for 7 months. So far this year I've lost about 10 and I'm looking for the goal of weighing 200 pounds by the end of this year. What I've found is I need to be consistent and turn down temptations because one day of indulgence can undo the rest of the week's work. When tempted I just say to myself...well I can have that in moderation when I'm at goal weight.

Ok Group it's Thursday so I hope some of you will come back and post your weigh ins.

Here's mine:

I'm on a low carb, low fat diet and have lost 92 pounds in the last 16 months. I've recently started some exercise on my tredmill up to about 15 minutes a day...not much but something.

Well it's thursday again... Here goes nothin'

SW: 217

CW:205.6

GW: <150

Not to shabby I guess. 11.4 lbs total loss in 4 weeks. I can live with that. Cool thing is haven't seen the boyfriend in a month and won't see him for another week. He has yet to see any of this weight loss. I'm ready to shock his pants off. I hope he says something that makes me just melt.

Berlylabs, WTG Girl!  Can you send me some of your good weight loss vibes?  I'm in serious need!

I refuse to post this week because it's just too darn depressing.  Between the PMS and Chinese food I gained 5lbs.  I'm sure it's mostly water, but I'm just going to pretend that I didn't see those numbers on the scale and try to stay on track.  :(

Don't be embarrassed!  I wish I was learning how to have a healthy life-style at 16!  Now I have 35 years of bad habits to 'undo' instead of 16.  When I was your age I had already seen private diet doctors, been to weight watchers and put on a 900 calorie a day diet at a diet center where I had to go DAILY to get weighed, pee on a stick (make sure I wasn't burning muscle) and talk to a nutritionist.  Of course all these weight loss attempts were forced upon me by my mother.  So I have some mama issues to work out along with my regular "work outs".

Welcome and don't be shy!

jerich- Welcome! Don't worry about being the only male and a teen. It just makes you the hottest male teen in the group! heheheheheh good luck on your goal.

Sad day... Dang fourth of july

Started swimming this week too... As of today (and it's only friday) I will have swam 4 out of the 5 days.  I had a lot of fourth of july weight to lose though.  I went out to eat twice that weekend. I gained like 4 pounds back from this.

Another week down:

LWW: 203.2

CW: 203.6

GW: <150

H: 5'6

age: 21

Sad day. Praying I see the 100 somethings soon. And getting discouraged for fear I can never let go again or I'll balloon. What have I gotten myself into :: sigh:: Oh well

Hey ladies (and gentlemen). I hope everyone is still on board - despite the lack of posts.

Anyhow, I've been feeling discouraged lately... I need to seriously kick my butt back into gear next week!

How are you all doing?

Stay strong!

Ugh, I've GAINED 5 lbs since June 6th. TOTALLY NOT HOT, I get the thumbs down sign when I log in :(

Anyhow, I'm having trouble just finding the ENERGY to get off my ass and workout. It's not like I don't have the time - I have 24 usable hours in the day, being that I'm on summer vacation and not currently working. Oh damn.

Any types of food that are particularly known for being energy boosters???

Hi I haven't checked in in awhile but I'm doing well. Here's a recap of my intro:

SW  225

CW  223

GW  145

Height: 5'4"

Female age 56

I'm on a low carb, low fat diet and have lost 92 pounds in the last 16 months.

Update:

SW 225

CW 217

GW 145

I've lost 6 pounds since I last posted. I do a low carb/low fat diet that is calorie controlled to between 1,200-1,500 a day. Now my total lost is 98 pounds so I will check in again to tell you when I've had my 100 pound loss! It's so close. Low carb really controls the appetite. I don't do Atkins because that is too much fat but rather eat lean protein and low carb veggies like lettuce, celery, mushrooms, zuchini, carrots, green peppers, tomatoes, green beans. I don't count carb grams but they are probably between 20 and 60 per day, all coming from veggies and also from cottage cheese. I never eat starches like bread, pasta, potatoes or anything with sugar. I will have some berries sometimes as they are a low carb fruit. I take multi vitamins and calcium and drink plenty of water.

brenda - I found this article that talks about different ways to boost energy. I hope it helps! You can also try participating in activities that really interest you (rather than just doing boring crunches and lunges for half an hour, lol). For instance, try dancing, hiking, swimming, or any other activity that you can really enjoy. =)

meg - Thanks for checking in! Wow -- congratulations on losing 92lbs! That's definitely inspiring. I still have about 65lbs to lose... boo... but hey, if you can lose 92lbs, I can lose 65!

Edit: Can everyone start posting how much weight they've lost since joining the group? It'll be nice to keep track of these things. =)

Stay motivated, everyone!

hello, i would like to join too.

Hey! Welcome to the group. =) I think I've seen you posting around the boards before. Anyhow, congratulations on losing 62lbs (net, lol).
