>>60-80lbs to Lose Group!<< (a.k.a "Open Group - 60-80lbs to Lose!")

Quote  |  Reply

I have 80lbs to lose until I reach my goal weight. Does anyone else have around 80lbs to lose? If so, post your stats and we can lose the weight together!

Here are my stats:

  • SW (Starting Weight): 194lbs
    CW (Current Weight): 185lbs
    GW (Goal Weight): 104-105lbs
  • Height: 5' 1"
  • Sex: Female
  • Age: 18

We're all here to support each other. So, whether you're having a great day or a horrible day, feel free to talk about it here. Post your weight updates whenever you feel comfortable doing so. There is only one rule here: Be kind. Let's not bring each other down.

Good luck!

Edit (July 11, 2008): The group is now open for those hoping to lose 60-80lbs.

Edit (August 2, 2008): Please include how much weight you've lost since joining the group (when you post updates on your weight). I think it'll be good to keep track of this. =)

Things have been going well for me. I have been sticking to my 1800 calories a day and exercising everyday. I have my husband to thank, since he has been the little bird in my ear reminding me that it sucks but has to be done. Im figuring after a month I will begin to love it like I did before.

How is everyone else doing? Ill post my weight on Wednesday. Hopefully there will be no pre-TOM bloat.

ka2007 - Congratulations on losing 12lbs with us so far! You're such a great such. It really is inspiring. =)

ake2k - Welcome to the group! Hopefully, we can provide you with the support you need to reach your goal.

lala7819 - You're lucky you didn't gain that much weight! I gained 20lbs during the school year. -_-" It was so disappointing. But, I'm back on the wagon now! Good luck on reaching your goal!

kristinedaqueen - It's great that your husband is helping you out. My family isn't so great in that department, lol. Good luck on your weigh in! =D

I feel horrible today. As usual, I binged over the weekend... But I promise I'm going to stop. I just need to remind myself that it's for my own good. One step at a time.

Motivational quote:

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."

Good morning/afternoon!

Motivational quote of the day:

"If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down."

So remember, it's okay to make mistakes. Just pick yourself back up again!

Good luck to everyone!

Started trying to lose weight about mid-July.  As expected, I experienced some very fast loss immediately, and have been pretty consistently dropping since then.

I'm currently losing weight by tracking my calorie intake very closely, along with exercising on an elliptical machine about 90 minutes per day, 6 days per week.  (For what it's worth, I came across a great application for an iPhone or iPod Touch that is very helpful for tracking calories and exercise. That has helped a lot.)

Woohoo, the more the marrier.

infiniteheart: I really love your inspirational quotes.

kristine - Thanks! I actually do take the time to find some good quotes to inspire/motivate you guys. =) I'm glad someone enjoys them!

ledgehanger - Welcome to the group! It's great that you have the drive to hop on your elliptical machine 6 days a week. I promised myself that I would start exercising more starting next Monday. Currently, I'm trying to find some activities that I'll enjoy. =)

I spent a lot of time promising myself I'd start "next Monday." Laughing  It really is hard to make time for it.  I'm sure you can find something you can do that you can stick to.

I haven't really gotten to the point where getting on the elliptical is just part of my routine.  It's something I force myself to do every time - but I *am* now to the point that I feel good when I'm doing it, and when I'm done.

Of course, I still can't help telling myself that it's relatively easy to do something for a few weeks.  The challenge will be to *still* be doing it in six months. Wink

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Starting weight 193. Dr. Recommeded ideal weight 130.  High cholesterol.  I am medically supervised and I check in every week.  Like you, it is hard to make time for it.  Full time worker, part time student, full time mom and wife.Undecided It's hard, mostly with 5 kids.

ledge- I hope that one day, exercise will become just another part of my day (rather than a "nuisance", lol). I will definitely make time for it, though. I'm worth it!

tinda - Hey, there! Welcome to the group! You really have a lot on your plate. Wow. I mean, I'm a full time student and part time worker, but I don't have kids... so, I can only imagine how crazy your schedule is. Kudos to you for actually deciding to lose the weight! Good luck!
