35, 5'5 and 70lbs to lose. Looking for someone to say on track with (closed to new members)

Anyone that is close to this want to form a support/motivation group?    I tried to do this whole weight loss thing before, but I'm an emotional eater and had ALOT of stress the last few months.   I'm taking some accountability now though and getting back on track.

I'd love to have some other folks to talk to and help keep me motivated... and help motivate in return.

I don't think it really matters what day we choose to post our results. (I'm hoping this thread isn't dead!)

I am going to post every Monday morning since that's when I've been weighing myself weekly. I do it in the morning after I've worked out, eaten, and taken a shower. I know most people do it before eating, but I'm after an overall weight loss trend. I don't hinge myself on hoping to see some kind of miraculous loss.

Well I'll post my results.  I usually weigh in on Fridays.

I'm going to use my start weight as the what I weighed on Jan. 20, 2008, my one year anniversary of starting this journey.

Start weight 209

Current weight 206

Goal weight 127

-3 pounds

79 pounds to go.  :)

Last Weight: 284 lbs
Current Weight: 283 lbs
Goal: 220 lbs
Loss so far: 27 lbs
To Go: 64 lbs

Woke up, had my starter breakfast and a bit glass of water.
Worked out for about an hour and made sure to drink a full glass of water over the course of the hour. Had after workout 2nd breakfast (Tell me he knows about second breakfast!?) Showered. Weighed my self 5 times. Took averages of 5 readings of weight, bf%, tbw%...  Note: need more fiber - haven't gone in over 2 days... Ooof! But, despite being bloated as all hell, I did manage to slip on my size 42 jeans I've been coveting without unbuttoning them. *Rawr*

Off to work! Cya peoples!

Exercise of the Day: Squats!

So I'm finally showing some progress after having 3 weeks where the line on my chart stayed flat.

My first small goal is to get to 200.  I can do that.

I do that too. Make mini goals... But my goals contradict each other sometimes. My weight goals usually involve breaking the 10 lb barrier. Like right now I'm shooting to get below 280 and into the 270's. But at the same time, depending on the lift, I increase my lifts from 5-10 lbs.

Hey guys...sorry, but I have been lazy lately when it comes to posting.....Let's keep this thread going.

I'll post as of this morning, but I usually weigh in on Mondays as I started on Monday.

Start Date: 02/11/2008
Starting Weight: 270 lbs
Last Weight: 254 lbs (Monday)
Current Weight: 252 lbs
Goal: 199 lbs
Loss so far: 18 lbs
To Go: 53 lbs

I can't tell you how pleased I am that I have been able to drop close to 20 pounds in my first month. I have 2 pounds to reach 20 and my 1 month is up on Monday! 20lb is one of my mini goals. I am not sure how I am going to rewared myself. Maybe a pedometer as I like to walk/hike.

OK Guys, just wanted to apologize for zoning out for a while.  I promise to be more into it, things just got a little crazy for a while.  I am planning on posting my stats on sunday nights.    I figure you all can post what ever day you want, just keep it the same (or close to it) day each week.

I'm going to change the title to closed to new members so we can possibly get more in tune with our little group.  I'm also adding you all as friends.

Good Luck everyone, and my first goal is to post on here more... second is to drink more water, and third is to work out a minimum of 2 days a week not missing any for a couple weeks, then I'll up it.

Terrific!

I get busy as well. Tons of stuff at work, new product releases, working weekends, getting t-boned by a town plow, and a couple of deaths have made life pretty busy and frustrating. But you know what? One of the promises I've made myself is that no matter what happens, no matter how hectic life gets, I will always devote an hour or two to myself. During that time, I workout.

Working out is my time for Zen. It's a personal battle with myself where finishing means winning. So even if I have a crappy day - I at least one at something!

Cheers - and I hope to see your stats soon momzturn!

Hi everyone - nice to see posts here again!  The past couple of weeks have been filled with sodium, sleepless nights, and stress.  Evil, evil s's.  But I've achieved some mini-victories along the way.  I used to "reward" my stress with many a binge fest.  But now when people around me are binging on cupcakes and pizza, I've had just one bite of a cupcake, or 1-2 small slices of pizza with a salad.  I haven't had that kind of self-control in a decade!  I weigh myself almost every morning to see overall trends... I went from being slowly on the downward trend with some plateaus to seeing an ugly huge peak in my graph.  I know most of it's water weight, but it's sad to see nonetheless.  I'm vowing to never see 200 again, even with water weight.

02/03/08 - 202.6

02/10/08 - 200.4

02/17/08 - 198.8

02/24/08 - 197.3

then almost 2 weeks of seeing 199, 202, 204(!), and slowly back to 198, 197, and now:

03/08/08 - 196.5

(If anyone's interested, I weigh myself starkers after pooping in the morning -- TMI? -- and before I eat anything.  I obsessively take 5-8 readings on my digital scale and average them.  If there's a wide range, I lop off the highest and lowest and average the rest.  Yes, I am that obsessive, but I'm in that early obsessive stage where I just NEED to track myself, you know?)

So today's the first day I've hit the 196 zone!  6.1 pounds gone, and my stomach feels smaller, my face looks better, and my jeans aren't choking the life out of me anymore.  Small triumphs, indeed.

I was raised with the mentality of rewarding yourself with food, so I'm randomly celebrating my mini-victories now with CDs and LPs.  Anyone else have a mini-reward system going on?

(wicky, it's been a while since you made it, but I couldn't let your LotR shout-out pass by without an online giggle!)

Start Date: 01/01/2008
Starting Weight: 310+ lbs
Last Weight: 283 lbs
Current Weight: 279 lbs
Goal: 220 lbs
Loss so far: 31 lbs
To Go: 59 lbs

Wahoo! Broke my 280 mini-goal. 270 - here I come!

Weirdness though. I stepped onto my scale (stark nekky as per my usual monday morning regime of weighing and averaging out 5 readings -hehe) and I had totally accepted to myself to be perfectly fine with staying at 283 and even gaining as high as 285 (+2)... I lost 4 lbs. The reason why I thought it was weird was because I had totally missed out on my cheat meal for the week until last night. I'm not one to deprive myself of my cheat so I had a HUGE steak, broccoli, and a whole buncha rice.

So... I would have figured I would have gained weight or at least maintained. The ONLY thing really different this past week was that I did a day of HIIT type burpee madness. For those who don't know what burpees are its when you squat with your hands touching the floor, kick back your legs into a push up position, do a pushup, jump your feet forward back into a squat, and jump - rinse and repeat. What made it HIIT-ish was that I did as many as I could in under a minute (20-30 of them) and then rested for a minute. Rinse and repeat. At first I thought, okay - not so bad. By the 3rd set I was thinking "Uh oh..." and by set 8 I was ready to puke. I made it to 10 sets. My brain was energized but boy did I feel the burn. I did that on Saturday. I'm still sore...

Happy Monday everyone!

I ment to weigh in yesturday, but because of the time change I slept in REALLY late. So I weighed in today. I'm not a good week, I've eatten badly plus it's that time.

So I went from 193lbs up to 194.

I want to share with everyone that reads this my new committment. I commit to not eating any bad food today at all!!

well I weighed in on Friday...but didn't post in here, so here I go.

Start weight 260

Current weight 205

total lost 55 lbs

lost since last week 1lb.

I love seeing the number go down, even .5 lb.  I was on a long plateau since October where my weight bounced around from 210-215...then 5 weeks ago it finally started to move again.  :)

Good job all of you.

Doesn't it feel SO good to lose? Every pound is one step closer to goal. You all inspire me to keep going and maintaining my weight.

Keep up the great work everyone! And if anyone ever needs support, I'm always here. I know what it's like 100%..

Hey all!  Checking in with a weigh-in.  I've lost 1.9 pounds since my last post on the 8th.  =)  I've also been doing a diet 101 challenge here, and the first challenge has been to meet 25g minimum fiber daily.  I've been averaging 33g for the past 9 days, and let me tell you, fiber really cleans you out but good!

I have had a lot of fluctuating along the way since I started (I weigh daily), but I think keeping my posts here to mostly Sunday morning weights will keep me motivated through the weekends.  I've found I'm less likely to eat/drink more on Friday and Saturday nights if I know my Sunday morning weight is going to count.  Like on Friday, I went out to a party (ate at home before), had only 1 light beer, and didn't eat any of the pizza that was being waved in my face.  I love pizza, but I love quality pizza, and I figure if I'm going to treat myself, I'm not going to mindlessly stuff myself with mediocre slices while I'm standing up at a party.  I'll have the good stuff properly, sitting down and enjoying it, with a salad on the side.  So I just enjoyed the beer and the hanging out, and avoided the bad-pizza guilt.  Shockingly reasonable of me, considering my eating behavior of just 2 months ago, the girl who could never, ever turn down free greasy food.

Starting Weight 02/03/08: 202.6

Current Weight 03/16/08: 194.6

Goal Weight: 133-ish at 5' 2.5"

Loss So Far: 8 lbs

Mini-victories:

- I'm eating way more fruits and veggies, and my craving for junk has diminished.

- I can really see that my belly and back fat has been shrinking, and my clothes are fitting better.

- I've had chronic headaches and migraines since I was a kid (they can sometimes last over 2-3 days), and I just realized I haven't had one last for more than a day since I started... this is big.

- I'm exercising and liking it (most of the time, anyway).  I've upped my strength training, and I am feeling the burn!

How's everyone else doing these days?

Start Date: 01/01/2008
Starting Weight: 310+ lbs
Last Weight: 279 lbs
Current Weight: 278 lbs
Goal: 220 lbs
Loss so far: 32 lbs
To Go: 58 lbs

Blah! 1lb... (but that's rounding down) Damn digital scales! Hehe, oh well - I'm suprised seeing as I will admit I had let my diet slide this past week. So much work related stuff going on that I was hardly home and ended up ordering food or going out with coworkers. I went out to/ordered food like 4 times last week! Pizza, Uno's (horrible horrible calories), and chinese food twice (oh the carbs!) But, I did do my workouts. ^_^

jds17: Way to go on the mini-victories! I hear you on the cheat meals deal. If I'm going do that - I'm going to do it right! haha! No skimpy piece of pizza... Give me the good stuff!

Kudos on the headaches too. Could have been the junk food (sugar) that may have been causing the headaches. I used to get them too...

I think I'm going to keep monday, wednesday, friday as my weight training days and starting tomorrow I'm going to incorporate HIIT for tuesdays/thursdays... Only thing is my HIIT routine simply kills me!

Hey everyone!
Ok, so I'm not too sure how accurate this is because I didn't eat much yesturday (I felt nausau). This morning I was down to 192. Which is a little over a pound down from last week.  If this is accurate I'm thrilled, as the week before was AWFUL!! My goal for next week is 190. I'm gonna work REAL hard, and be very careful!

Good job everyone!! Till next week!

Hey all!  Anyone still around at all??  I lost a couple of weeks to birthday, vacationing, and general overindulgence, but I'm trying to get back on track with the logging now.  At least I was pretty active while I stopped calorie counting.  Gained some water weight and worked it off, now I'm pretty much back where I was.  At least I didn't fall off the wagon completely!  Hope everyone here is doing well with their progress.

Hi, I am 35 yr old, 5'3 female with about 60 lbs to lose.  I am an emotional eater also and I have gone through soo much in the past 3 years. That is when the gain started.  I just started C.C. at the end of March, so I am really new at this. I would love to help and be helped as much as possible. I have no will power or motivation.  I'll add you as a buddy(if I can figure out how to do it, LOL) and anyone is more than welcome to add me. We can all do this!! I usually weigh myself Saturday morning.

Start Date: March 22,2008

Start Weight: 197 lbs

Current weight: 189.5 lbs

Goal: 130-135 lbs

Loss so far: 7.5 lbs

To go: 55-60 lbs

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE! !!

Hey everyone!
I haven't posted in a while, probably about 2 weeks. I went out of town and than had a week off and am back at school tonight so I've been awful at logging even my food! But I wanted to post my currant weight. Last time I think my goal was 190. Today I'm at 186. It feels so good!!! My mini goal is 179, so I feel like I'm on my way! Keep going strong team!!

Did we let this thread die?

I hope not.  Just a quick update.

Start weight 260

current weight 196

total lost 64 lbs.

since last time I check in way back in March...9 lbs. Not much, but I was on the plateau from hell.  I think I'm finally off it.
