100+ lbs to lose ~ How R U Doin?
*cough* Well, um, I kinda lost it after mine and my sister's graduation. Started dating my current boyfriend and put on those "dating pounds." Like 25 of them. Bringing me to over 100 pounds to lose. :(
My very sweet boyfriend is helping me get on track. He's joined CC with me and we're calorie-counting our little hearts out now, but we've only just started this week.
So...back to the topic...I'm working on my goals again. And the holiday season won't affect me because I'm working straight through it and thus have no opportunity to go to yummy big meals. Which means healthier and more financially solvent me!

I'm trying to lose another size by Christmas, so I'm definitely still here :-)
Am planning on heading home (out of state) to stay with my brother and his family for Thanksgiving (and get together with the rest of the family too) and am going to try and eat well while staying with them - perhaps even get some excercising in as well. They are a good influence (runners) and I'm hoping that will help me be good.

wow sng ~ sounds gr8!
United--heh, let's just say that I'm not the only one who put on some dating pounds!
I'm here! Count me in! Had thanksgiving at my daughter's school yesterday. I love love love dressing (I'm born and raised southern girl), so , I was going to enjoy but was still concerned. Guess what?????? It was only "okay"....so, I only ate a couple of bites! woohoo!
I'm still here :)
Last holiday season I was heading into a major clinical depression and was losing weight because I slept all the time and didn't care about food at all. I lost weight, but probably muscle. This past summer & fall I've been exercising and I think I've lost some fat and gained some muscle.... So I hope I'll have a more balanced holiday this year.
For thanksgiving, I'm fixing the dinner at my mom's house. For the first time, I'm letting my Mom put her feet up and just enjoy the day. I told her that since we'll only have 5 people this year (my grandparents both died last year and my daughter will be at her dad's this year) - I don't see the point in making enough to feed an army.
I'm making mashed sweet potatoes instead of mashed potatoes. I'm making whole wheat stuffing instead the usual sausage stuffing. I'm making shredded brussels sprouts with bacon & onion and carrots for the veggies. And the turkey. No need for ham as well. And we're only going to have one pumpkin dessert instead of a pumpkin pie, a cheesecake, and a chocolate dessert. With ice cream.
I think it will be plenty... I haven't really thought about Christmas dinner yet but I hope we'll take a similar approach. Maybe I should go ahead and tell Mom that I'll be the cook for Christmas too.

Hi Friends,
Well for the last 2 months of the year, i will continue to try and strive for my goals. So far, i have lost about 34 pounds and I want to lose another 16 before the new year to round my total weight lose to 50lbs. It has been really hard since there is so much exposure to holiday cookies, cakes and pies in the office. It seems like everywhere i turn there are Dunkin Donut munchins are homemade pies.....I'm going crazy...It is really hard just pass up a small nibble or slice here and there.....that kinda stuff starts adding up very quickly. Yesterday was a bad day for me, consumed about 2500 calories and didn't burn much. I'm picking my self back up and trying to do it aain, remembering all the effort and hard work. i have already put out there. So below I listed my goals for November and December and hoping and praying to stay on track. I will need everyone's support. Thanks for being here for me. Love, mydivinesunshine
November & December Goals: Lose about 8-10 lbs because my weight has changed very much this month it has stayed at about 304 lbs
Drink 6 16oz bottle water
Eat about 1200-1500 alories per day
Try to work out every day. At least walking 5 days a week and GYM 2days a week.
Do not eat after 8PM
Add my weights to my work out regimen.
Reduce soduim intake to an average of 2000mg
Do not eat out during the week, save up calories for the weekend
Continue to add more veggies and whole grans to my meals
Last but not least, contiune to be thankful of all the people around me that have given me support. Thanks includes my friends at home and my Calorie Count friends!

Still here, still motivated, wating to be "overweight" by January 1!
I'm planning on taking small portions of food and eating slowly. I plan on sitting faaaaar away from snacks at parites. Heck, I should just plan on going window shopping! :) I plan on dancing around with my baby niece. I plan on riding my stationary bike. Vigorous housecleaning and the like.
I plan on not being hard on myself if I have too much food, but I won't go and seek it out. I'm going to enjoy myself and listen to my body and if I'm full, to say 'no', and if it's something I really REALLY want to taste, I'll ask to have a small piece saved.
I don't have any idea how well I will stick to that, being that I haven't encountered the Holiday temptations while trying to lose weight!
I plan on making pies and making everyone else eat them! :-D

Gr8 to see everyone :)
Hey there everyone
I'm still here. Progress is slow, but I havent given up. My new goal is to drop 10 lbs before new year. will sart working on that monday. its been a bad week for me health wise. had bad TOM, and several attacks of my IBS this week- stemming from over eating LAST WEEKEND! so i've been down for the count all week. But will pull myself together for the next phase of my plan- an all or nothing to the death battle for those last 10 lbs before new years. That would put me in the 280's range (285 to be exact), which i havent seen in years.

From what I hear- Slow and steady wins the race!
I'm here too. I've lost 54 lbs now and I'm pleased, but I want to
lose at least 50 more. Technically I need to lose about 10 to 15
more than that to get in a healthy BMI, but I'm going to assess the
situation when I get there. I do plan to diet through the
holidays, but I'll allow leeway on thanksgiving, I doubt that I'll diet
that day. I'm supposed to eat two meals, so that part will be
hard to stay at least on maintenance calories. I'm thinking that
I'll eat a fair amount of turkey, a lot of salad, and small portions of
everything else, at least at one of the meals. At the other I'll
probably eat what I want to eat. But I get full so much easier
that I doubt I'll be able to eat more than 800 calories or so.
I want to lose at least 10 more lbs by Christmas, that is my goal. I've recently started going out on Fridays and it's made it harder because I end up drinking 2 large beers, which even with light beer adds 400 calories to my day. So today I was 250 over goal, although still 750 under maintenance, so all was not lost.

We dont have thanksgiving in Europe and this Christmas is our first without my husbands father who passed away in March, so it is going to be an emotional time. My daughter lives in Canada and is spending the holidays with her dad so Christmas without her is going to be lonely. To top it off, Rob works for the most of the season. So other than a few Christmas candy and a Christmas dinner, I wont have to fight much food temptation. This year the emotions are going to be my enemies. However, I am determined to win this battle. I have a lovely black number delicately folded and strategically placed where I see it everyday. That is my new years mini goal and I intend to wear it.

This is day 1 for me. I am at my highest weight 300 Lbs. I am 6'1" and i am an emotional eater. If I can have a support group and help me on how to use this system, maybe i can lose this weight and support some of you as well. Right now I am trying to calculate my calories and log them in to see what im doing to myself. If anyone has a list of good 500 Calorie meals that would help me, Also, Low calorie snacks. I do not have a sweet tooth but I am a mexican food, Pizza Eating fool. I'm ready to get back to 200Lbs.
Thanks,
Thanks,
mmmm...........
