Hello Everyone!

Now, I really need some pals to lose 10-15lbs with! I keep starting...and then stopping. I'm not eating badly, but I know that having others to work with would really help. We can motivate each other, propose weekly challenges and weigh-ins etc!

It doesn't matter if this is your first 10 or last 10 to lose, let's all just lose it together!

Who's with me!?

I'm in the same position! I start off doing great, lose steam, and then gain it all back (and then some)! I could also use a buddy for encouragement to get rid of those pesky 15lbs.

Let's  do this!!

ahhhh! this is the story of my life.. i always start- eat healthy for a bit and then fall off the wagon again! definitely in need of some motivation to make it through exam season (and the holiday season!)

Hey guys!  Count me in! I'm adding all of you!  Let's keep each other in check with some positive encouragement and challenges...fun :)

What days work best for y'all for weigh ins???

i'll do it!!!

im 129 lbs now, i want to be 115lbs.

Friday is my day for weigh-in already.

I'm in too! Even though I'm new here, I'm ready for the challenge. I'm 136lbs right now and my target is 126lbs

Hey there - count me in... I definitely need some motivation over the Holiday season! I like Monday weigh-ins (keeps me focused over the weekend), but could move to the end of the week if that's better for everyone else...

Edit: sorry forgot to say... I am 156 currently and want to get down to 140-142... I know I can do it, just need to stay motivated!

I'll join.  My other group seems to have died off.

I'm currently 153-155 (depending on the day) and want to get down to 140ish.

Hey gals!

Well I'm 162 and want to get down to 150 or so!

When should we do weigh-ins? Fridays? Right before the weekend I think is best because sometimes people let a free day slide during these days :)

GOAL #1:

From today to next Friday, work out at least 3 days!

Friday was up a pound from Thursday.  *sigh*  I know it's all water weight and I can deal; it's just annoying.  TTOM is coming up soon; I can tell because I have no energy (always happens the week before; my version of PMSing is being very very sleepy).

I have a potluck Christmas party at work tonight and will do my best to be good.  I made a yummy rice/corn/blackbean salad so I know there will be at least one healthy choice - and I will just watch the portions (particularly on dessert) and bring my own sugar-free beverage.  I made sure to eat a filling breakfast and lunch, and will have a big spinach salad before leaving so that I only take the food I really want and don't just do the "I'm hungry; I will eat lots" thing.

This week's three workouts will be the last three of the New Rules of Lifting for Women Stage 1.  I'll try to walk to work all week as well (though I'll beg off if it gets *too* cold; 30-40 minutes at -20 degrees is not going to happen).

Oh yeah, weigh in was 154.6 pounds yesterday morning.  Hopefully, that'll be back down by next Friday.

How's everyone's Christmas (or Hannukah or Kwanzaa or ... ) shopping going?

I'm in!  New to this site, so not quite sure how this whole forum thing works.  I'm also looking to lose about 15 lbs.  I'm right around the 140 area and would ideally like to be around 125 if i can do it.  Just need some people to keep me on track so i don't cave, especially now that it's winter time!

I'm in desperate need to lose at least 10lbs in the next two months. I'm 5'7 and 155lbs and my goal is to be 140lbs. I've been really good for the past couple of days about counting my calories. My clothes are fitting a little snug and I want to be able to to slip them on easily with out having to suck in my stomach. I haven't been able to work out as much as I like to because of my schedule, but I'm gonna squeeze in some time every other day this week. I don't know if I've lost any weight yet but I'm waiting till thursday. Lets hope I've lost 2 lbs at least. I'll be happy if I lose anything.

Most important I'm writing to you all for support and motivation because I'm in college and living on campus. It's so difficult to say no to pizza and fresh baked sweets. I work and I make a decent amount of money but it's difficult being frugal and buying healthy items when the economy is bad as it is. Any suggestions? please please please

Thank

Hey maddie

Ohhh I remember those days. Desperately trying to stay on track but the constant studying, weekends out etc just build you up to a slip up. Here are a couple of tips that helped me. What helped me was to go to the gym. I don't know if you have an on campus gym, but start going! Even if it's only a couple of days a week. Or buy a work out tape. Something to keep you moving! When it comes to food, there are healthier options in the cafeteria but they're not always as fun. I would say that one of my life-savers was low-fat cottage cheese with chives. You can put it on ANYTHING, whole wheat crackers for a snack with diced up tomato, or use cottage cheese to spice up your salad.

Making your salads as interesting as possible really helps, so add on the veggies and low cal meats! Think of fun combinations with olives, tomatos, tuna, sliced deli ham, cucumbers, red onion, and defo take advantage if you find any type of bean, like chickpeas, kidney or lima beans. You can make it all delicious!

I hope this helped!

How is everyone going with the work out goal? 3 days isn't too much, you can even do it in your living room! I've gone 1 day so far, today will make it day 2! So far I'm sticking to 30 minutes of cardio, mixing it up with different machines, and then 30 minutes of toning. I need my hips to get smaller! any tips??

Count me in.  I haven't weighed myself recently but I know that I have a solid ten pounds to lose.  I will do my SW weigh in tomorrow morning.  Thanks for starting this.

I like the goal idea.  I have just started jogging again so the goal this week will be nice accountability and motivation.

noka-poka - just keep with the toning and cardio and you will start to see those hips melt away!

ok.. i'm in. i'm pretty new to the site, and would like to go from 150 to 130ish. i've been eating healthy for a long time, i just can't seem to stay motivated to work out. also, i keep getting sick so it makes it that much harder to get out and do things.

how do you all deal with maintaining your work outs when you are sick?

(i've had a bad cold for almost 3 weeks now)

I'm so in! I'm 148 right now and cannot WAIT to be in the 130's again.. haven't seen that number since middle school. Geck! =D It's my next mini-goal, so, here I am!

Anyway, I'm 5'3" (and 3/4s), 21 and living in Ontario, Canada. It's pretty silly and a little dorky but I looooooove support groups and posts and challenges and all those fantabulous things. So, if it's alright with everyone, I'll add you!

We can do this! I believe in every single one of you -- let's keep this ball movin'.

so i'm berating myself over a slight chili and beer mishap last night at a holiday party.  went to a holiday party and consumed some chili and then worked at the bar last night which involved shots and beers being drank after work.  i feel horrible.  it's more calories than i wanted to consume in a day.

i hate holiday parties, they get me in trouble!  anyway, i'm back on track for today again and clearly need the motivation to stay on track.  please help!

I'm in! I am currently 132# and have set my first goal at 124#.

I am proud of myself that I worked out 4 days this week, but I am having a hard time this weekend. I feel like a bottomless pit! It's cold outside and all I want to do is hybernate in the house and cook.

I did log my intake yesterday, but last night I got up around midnight after having taken my sleeping pills and ate about another 400 cals over my limit. I think I need to lock myself in my bedroom at night. Anyway I plan on weighing tomorrow am although I am not expecting to see a loss.

Goals this week: Go to the gym 1-2 hrs, 4-5 days.

&nb sp;               &nb sp;    Write down or log all foods daily.

&nb sp;               &nb sp;     Do not get up and eat at night after met calorie goal!

I'd like to join as well.  I'm 5'3, 23 years old.  I started CC in August 2007 at 165.  I'm currently 130, and wanting to get down to 120.  I also want to get into killer shape before my husband and I start a family.

Like you said it was a slight mishap.  It is important that you don't beat yourself up too much and just get back on track.  Enjoying time with your friends/coworkers is important, too.  So, just give your next workouts a little extra push or try to eat super clean for the next day or two and you will be right where you want to be.  Just keep checking back and we will help everyone stay on track.

I was supposed to weigh myself this am, but my bf and I went out for mexican food last night and I feel bloated. I'm afraid if i get on the scale today its going to be 3# higher than last time. Not sure I can take the disappointment...

Maybe I'll weigh tomorrow. Planning on eating high fiber and low cal today and working out 1-2hrs tonight.
