Hello Everyone!

Now, I really need some pals to lose 10-15lbs with! I keep starting...and then stopping. I'm not eating badly, but I know that having others to work with would really help. We can motivate each other, propose weekly challenges and weigh-ins etc!

It doesn't matter if this is your first 10 or last 10 to lose, let's all just lose it together!

Who's with me!?

Hi everyone,

Please count me in. I would like to use 10-15 pounds. I started at 130 last Monday. Weighed in this Monday and I'm 127. So, I really hope that I can atleast get to 120.

The problem is that I'm going on vacation next Wed. and I know that I might destroy all the progress that I've made up to now.

Ok great! looks like this group is up and running! Well, a little bit about me, I live in Munich Germany, so my posting times will probably be a lot different than yours! It's I miss all of the fantastic low cal, diet-focused food that there is in the States. Like skinny cow icecream!

Jen I agree with Balance, it was a mishap. Don't worry! I still like to have some extra cals when it comes to going out and having fun :)

Well, today was a busy day. Pretty good when it came to calories and I put in a really hard work out at the gym. Like my shirt was soaked! Gross! Thankfully there wasn't anyone there to impress, haha. I did have a few chips today, but that was alright.

I went grocery shopping today and picked out lots of healthy options, so that I'm not tempted by anything bad. And then there's my boyfriend, "Can I get chips?" UGH.

My husband is the same way about putting junk in the cart.  He's trying desperately to NOT lose weight (lucky guy) while I'm trying to lose.  We have conflicting food interests :-)

Good Morning Ladies!

Yesterday was a good day :) Although, I was hungry after dinner. I tried to curb my hunger with healthy snacks considering that I had already eaten, but it wasn't easy. I tried drinking a lot of water, ate a small orange, even indulged in a small piece of dark chocolate (that usually puts me off my appetite as I don't like it). I just ended up distracting myself with movies and internet haha

Today I'll be going to the gym at some point.

DEFINITELY IN! Unfortunately, I'm at the point where I'm too scared to even weigh myself!! I have been calorie counting for 2 months, I've seen a nutritionist, and I work out 4-5 times a week.

5'4", Current weight 148lbs, goal weight 135 lbs.

Hello Everyone!

So far, things are going well...went to the gym yesterday, staying in my calories for the most part :)

Hi everybody!

This week has been a challenge with the last days of school/finals/birthdays up the wazoo... but I'm at 147.2 this morning which is a new low! Let's hope it sticks! lol I did make it to the gym 4 times this week!! Hooray

Congratulations, JourneyFit!! I just had a meeting with my nutritionist, and VERY SURPRISINGLY i have dropped 5 lbs, down to 142! Sadly I can hardly even tell a difference, but I guess this is motivation to keep up!!

Tough weekend coming up with holiday events, etc...

I lost 1.2 pounds this week.  It is a good start for me.  I worked out three days.  My goal for next week is to make my workouts a little more intense. I am thinking of tracking my food as well.

Congrats to mkasparian and journeyfit!! Let's keep checking in as the journey continues.

How did everyone else do?

Where did everyone go?  Oh well, it is Friday weigh in.  I am down two pounds this week.  My goal for next week is to maintain that weight (cookie making party to figure in) and to keep up with my workouts.

I hope everyone is doing great.

Down to 152.1 this morning (have been bouncing around the high 151s all week, but salty pizza = retaining water).  Still, it's a nice drop from 154.something last week!

I don't know about anyone else, but I've been marking final exams for the last little while.  And, before that, I was writing the darn thing!  :-)

I'm on a "break week" from my strength training routine.  I think I'm going to try out some of the cardio machines at the gym, though, since all the students are gone so it'll be nice and quiet.

Susiecue, it is awesome that you are so close to the 140's!  Cardio will be a nice switch up. I am trying to jog six days a week but I am planning on adding the weights back in after Christmas.

Happy Holidays!

It's way easier to lose the first 10 that's for sure...

I'm stuck for a year at the LAST 10, of course...at one point i was down to 121-122 lbs and 120 lbs IS my goal. But somehow never managed to hold it...so right now I'm working AGAIN to get down to 120 lbs. afterall, it was this Oct that I was down to 122 lbs (long story why but anyway)

So yeah, I'm wt you :)

I'm 5'2", 28, married

Currently 131-132 lbs (depending on the day) and my target is 120 lb

Hey all!

So this year I got down to 122, overcame bulimia, and ran a half marathon... But ever since I completely spiralled downward... In 3 months, I have gained 15 pounds with some major binge eating and my stopping of running... :(

I'm determined to get rid of those pesky pounds! I worked so hard to get the 15 pounds off and in the same year, they've come back! :( Anyway.....

I'm 5'6... 137 pounds... and I'd like to get back to 122!

I'd like to do that by March 31 for sure.. That'd be real nice. I'd settle for 125, but I'd really like to be back to the way I was before my birthday on April 6 :)

Hi!!

Is it to late to join? I had been doing really well with eating healthy and working out 4-5 times per week, and then starting in November just went downhill and have not been able to get back on track. I have been ok with eating healthy, but have DEFINITELY fallen into the holiday sweet trap!! I've also been able to kind of start working out again because I'm home for the holidays and don't have a lot else to do, so that's good. I'm just looking for a group to keep me motivated and focused on losing that 15 lbs I'm aiming for :)

Currently I am 5'1.5", 124.5 lbs (of course, that's probably gone up since being home and eating all the sweets, haven't checked yet). My goal is 110 lbs. by March 17 (it's my birthday). I think right now what my biggest struggle will be is over the next couple weeks at home with family, eating food that they prepare (not the healthy food I would choose) and over indulging in the brownies, cookies and all.  I'm looking forward to being 15-20 lbs slimmer with everyone over the next few months!!  Good luck!

It looks like a lot of us are in the same boat.  We almost get to our goal and then get slightly off track.  Having new folks join this thread helps keep me focused.  Thanks!

I am still hoping to maintain this week but have not gotten off to a great start.  I will try to get back to the workouts tomorrow.

Good Luck and Happy Holidays.

hello friends

I am a little late to the scene  but I would love to join in.

I keep starting and stopping with not much success. I think if I have folks out there who will keep me on track then I/we can achieve any thing

Kate

I'll join.  Seems all my other groups have dwindled.

March '07 I was 170

Today 140

Goal by May 2009= 120

I'll weigh in on Fridays too.

Believe it or not I'm down to 130.3 lbs. Good weight after the Christmas, that's for sure. Baby steps for yours truly starting from now.

Hi guys!! i'd like to join too! I am 5'4, currently 141 lbs, I want to get back down to 125 that's my ideal weight. I usually weigh myself everyday, but it is probably a good idea to stop and weigh on Friday with you guys, so i will let you know if any tiny change has taken place :) I did CC once before a couple of years ago and i managed to lose 10 lbs within 2-3 months, but i stopped and it all came back :(

How do you guys deal with finding the motivation to get off your butts and actually work out? I even bought the Wii fit for Christmas but i exercised 2-3 times and i got lazy again.... help!

And also, how do you deal with food cravings? I found myself having this whole conversation in my head "are you hungry?" "no..." "well then why do you want food?" lol.

Someone once told me that cravings last for 8 minutes... making it through those 8 minutes seems liek a lifetime for me sometimes, that's why I am turning to your help, let's help each other overcome those pounds!!! the pounds aren't smarter or stronger than us, right?

~Jo~
