Weight on 11/11/07: 263
Highest weight ever: 268
First mini goal: 250
Ultimate weight loss goal: 140
plan: Calorie count plus logs. Low glycemic/smart carb based diet. Cut portions in half (esp. in restaurants). No more bread baskets on the table! Workout, Workout, Workout, walk the dog. Fidget more (I'm good at that). Drink more water. Replace items in recipes (ex. plain yogurt for sour cream, whole wheat pasta for white, brown rice for white). Eat breakfast - oatmeal/ high fiber cereal. Lots of fruits and veggies ( have a veggie steamer and it is great). Never grocery shop hungry and shop at produce market first!
I'm sick of looking like I'm still carrying twins - very embarrassing now that they are 15 years old!
Sounds good Singing_Girl!
..And thanks!
I like the name 100+
This reminds me of getting full marks in my school days
and it is more than full marks here.
Personally, have worked with many people on weight loss and see good results.
Strongly recommend everybody to approach weight loss in a natural way...
whereby we are going to enjoy it for the rest of our life.
Cheers!
Welcome, Dyannem!
I think those of us on this thread have to take the long view - so hard to do! - and realize that this is going to take a long time. I tend to be impatient, so I am trying to remind myself every day that I feel better with even the 12-13 # I have lost, and the bit more exercise I am getting on a daily basis.
Here's to a great week, everybody!!!!!
Hey all.
I had another visit to my bariatric doctor today. He put me to 1500 calorie/day meal plan instead of 1700. I found that I had a lot of calories left over at the end of the day, and yeah.. binge eating before bed = BAD! haha.
Other than that, I worked out today, then when I got home I felt really nauseous and yeah.. I threw up :(. I'm not quite sure WHY I ended up doing that, I felt fine after the workout.. maybe it was the bus ride afterwards? Beats me. If you guys have any suggestions to what it might be, that would be great.
Okay, well that's all for now. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
<3 Jenn
skinnybuddha: i looked at that arctic zero stuff and it looks seriously good. Does it actually taste good if its so low in calories?
Anywho, i had a crap week last week and didnt lose any weight, but then i hopped on the scales today and was down a pound which made me happy! yay. it's not much, but i'm just glad the scale is going down again.
Hey guys I would like to join.

Weight on 11/14/07: 293.3
Highest weight ever: 380
Mini goal: 280 by Dec 15th (Going to Disney World)
Ultimate weight loss goal: 220
plan: I currently have a bowflex and have been on a 1500 calorie diet and have been working out with my wife 3 days a week.
Story: I have been overweight my entire life. I hit 380 about 4 years ago (I am 6'4" tall) and started weight watchers. I managed to get down to around 290 pounds and ended up having to move to Texas. Well with all the bbq and tex mex I have never enjoyed before I ended up getting up to 332 pounds. I started my recent diet Sept 17th and have lost 40 pounds so far but I have so many more to go.
My wife is supporting me but I would like some others to keep my accountable. My wife had to loose 10 pounds and is now at her goal already of 105 pounds (She is 5'1"). I would like to keep up with my 4 year old daughter and also set a good example so she won't have to face what I have.
Thanks,
Josh
Morning everyone!! I just wanted to say that I did a happy dance last night when Amy was voted out on the Biggest Loser. That girl should have been gone the first week. I have to say I was surprised, shocked really, that she continued to lose weight once she got home. Good for her, though. Now she just needs to get rid of the fake blue eyes. Okay, enough about that.
Ever since the trip to Oklahoma, I've been off the band wagon. I lost my motivation somewhere between Paris, TX and Antlers, OK. I don't know what I'm going to do to get it back. Maybe go home and look at the horrid pictures of me in my underwear? That certainly might do the trick. They are pretty scary. If anybody knows of any good kicks in the butt, let me know!
Tanya- Tough love here.
Here's inspiration: Imagine yourself with a big incision in your chest because you've just had a bypass operation. I am 51. Probably seems old to you, but it's way too young to have a heart attack, which I did. I was lucky, just needed angioplasty. But it's the image of the chest incision (a realistic possibility once you've had a heart attack these days) keeps me on the wagon.
You are already facing health problems (I was perfectly healthy, if overweight, not too long ago). If you don't start taking care of yourself now, you are on the road to big problems WAY too young.
Please take care of yourself now, while you are still young and have so much of life ahead of you!!!!! I am saying this not to make you feel bad, but to help you realize that what's at stake is more than just looking better.
Best wishes to you -- Pat
Tanya: Haha, I agree about Amy totally, fake blue eyes, getting the boot the first week, etc, haha. She's just such a whiner! It drove me crazy. lol
Josh: Welcome welcome, great job on the weight loss you've accomplished so far! And 40 pounds in that amount of time? Wow.. I'm jealous, haha. I've lost about 30 in 4 months, haha.

Well it happened again today (none of you guys replied last time :[).
But yeah, I threw up AGAIN, about 45 minutes after working out. I don't get it! Has anyone had a similar experience, or even know what it is? Cause yeah, I'm kind of worried.. I'm going to see my doctor on Monday, so thats good.
Good news, I'm back to my 235, hopefully that number will keep going down. I'm on a 1500 calorie per day plan from my doctor now instead of 1700. Its going pretty well so far.. other than the whole puke thing, lol. (By the way I didnt start on that until yesterday).
-Jenn
Jenn ... I'd ask your doctor about throwing up after workouts. Something seem's not right, ya know?
=^..^= MOLLY
My wife and I are addicted to the biggest loser. For some reason on Tuesday our DVR only recorded the first 30 minutes of the show so thanks for letting me know who got kicked off. She had it coming anyway.
Wish me luck during Thanksgiving. The other hurdle I have coming is we are going to Disney World on the 15 of December and I do not plan on calorie counting while I am there. I'll start back when I get home at the diet.

Patti - I think you've given us ALL some tough love motivation, not just Tanya. Thank you.
Tanya - Motivation is tough. It's too bad I don't have any pictures of myself in underwear, because I imagine I would have lost this weight yeearrs ago. Sounds like good motivation to me.
Ummgood - welcome!!! Good luck on Turkey Day - I think we all need it... but, let's try not to be too hard on ourselves... It's just one day a year, right?! Well, except for Christmas....Christmas Eve with the in-laws....those special Valentine/Anniversary/Birthday dinners.....ugh.
I've not done as well as I'd like on my calories this week, so I'm dreading that scale tomorrow... I'm hoping for at least one pound dropped this week. Just one! Please! Just give me that dern one pound!
Happy Thursday, everyone.
Molly: Yeah I'm going there on Monday for something else, so I'll ask her about it. [Gotta love the Canadian health system ;)].
No prob Josh. Yeah I watch it every tuesday as well. Also Biggest Loser Australia is on Slice (local channel) another night of the week. Double the fun! Hah.
I lost quite a few pounds in my first week as well.. big adjustments!
dyannem: it's a soft serve ice cream. I'm in Canada, so they probably don't sell it here. I think the website is http://www.carbawhey.com/

I hope everyone is doing well, the forum is pretty unactive :\. The school week is over so now I have a glimpse of freedom to enjoy during the weekend haha. I'm back down in the lower 230's, so I'm happy.
Have a great weekend all!

I weighed in today ... 317.2 ... I've lost 51.8 pounds so far!!! (It was nice to break the 50-lb mark!)

And...i hurt my back on sunday, i think i was trying to lift too much at the gym. So i took the week off to let it heal and i still lost!! I have started counting my calories and using the food log on here which is SOOO nice. And yeah the calories burned vs what is taken in that is calculated on there shows the same results on the scale as well!
Look at all the great results this week!
Molly, I can't wait til I can say I've lost that much! For now, I am happy to have broken through the 15# wall. Yep, 15.2 as of today!
Isn't 50# the goal for you to get that fabulous trip? If so, I guess you're out buying your tickets now, huh?
lbaxleyl, isn't it great to find something fitting that hasn't before (or in a long time)? I put on a ring yesterday that I haven't worn in several years. It's something my DH gave me a long time ago, and it almost made me cry when I could finally put it on! :) And next week I'm going to wear a suit that I haven't worn in a year because the waist was -- just-- too -- tight!
(that's me putting it on before starting to eat right)
