How to stick with this4ever ~ The most important thing is to find a healthy approach that works for you that you can enjoy for the rest of your life. Create your new lifestyle. Let's talk about how!
When I joined this site my weight was at 325.00 The highest weight that I have been was 335.00. I started my lifestyle change on 6/9/08 and to date I have lost 13lbs in 3 weeks. My goal is to lose 150 lbs in one year. I budget my calories every day and try to work out. That is my biggest battle is excercise and getting motivated to excercise. I like to walk and I have a gym membership and I dont use it. I also have a ton of videos. Usually my best friend and I work out together, but she is out of town for 6 weeks on a job. And my hubby loves my body the way it is and he doesnt need to work out because he is 6ft tall 150lbs and has a very physically demanding job. Anyone got any suggestions on how to get motivated to excercise. I am doing great on calorie and fat intake counting, but I know that I would be doing even better by excercising.
Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks
Hello,
I'm also trying to loose a few pounds. My weight is, well right now it's 306 I've lost 10 lbs. I'm trying to get to 165, that's my goal. I have lots of health issues.
I have Fibromyalgia, Arthritis in my neck accompanied with neck spurs, 2 very bad knees, Herniated disc, arthritis in my feet, a messed up ankle and the list goes on.
I told you that to say, it's so hard to get up the motivation to work out, I can't even walk for more then 2 mins. and at times that seems to kill me. I'm loosing weight and I enjoy how I'm doing it but the working out is just hard for me. I belong to a Gym, in which I was going to very well and I was doing water aerobics, and working out in the gym with a trainer, somehow I stopped going, partly because of the pain, and I'm having the dickens of a time getting up the gump to go back. I go to a Nutritionist and he's such a big help. Sometimes I get so frustrated that I feel like saying "I'm fat just deal with it" but then I get myself together.
But I've learned and learning that God is my best friend and He has been my help when on one else understands me. But it's nice to have this forum also.
Good luck everybody and I pray that each one of us reaches our goal
I was reading this as one of the top 150 posts and thought it would be to revamp it again!
I have 140 pounds to loose. Steps I have taken to do so were I bought a gram scale and a ounce scale. One manufacture is better than the other and I couldn't take the other one back. Hence two scales. The second thing I did was journal, and then I started a beginners exercise program in mid December. I am doing the Leslie Sansone Walk away the Pounds DVD. And finally I joined a gym and had a fitness assessment today. The DVD has gotten me more mobile so that is the good news. But I have a long ways to go.
