Last December I found CC and in this last year I have taken off 120 lbs.  This is one of the most exciting adventures of my life and after being fat all of my life, it is amazing that I have been able to lose this weight and become athletic in my 50's.

Thanks to all of you who have supported, encouraged and inspired me.   I hope my feat can inspire others that one day at a time, this can be done.

I am planning to stop losing after 4 more lbs lost and then will join the maintenance crew. While that weight is still more that the illusive 25 BMI, I think for me and my musculature, it works for me.

Thanks again everyone !!  Together, all of us middle aged fat girls rule.

Congratulations!! That is absolutely amazing!! Congrats on all your hard work!
AWSOME! You did a wonderful job! Congrats!

WOW that is Fabulous, Awesome, Terrific and all that good stuff.

Do you have before and afters?

What was your biggest challenges and what got you through it all?

Congrats!

Thanks everyone for the support and comments. My before and after shots are in my gallery.

My biggest challenge was starting. It took me foreswearing dieting for 10 years before I could begin again. One I made my mind up, I just kept losing 10% of my body weight at a time. Once started, it has been relatively easy. Without exercise, I don't think I could have done this.

It truly has been fun. I have been focused on counting calories and the tools on this site have been fabulous, really made it fun and easy. I hope that I will be the same size next year. That will be my new years wish. Isn't that a novel idea.
Congratulations! Your example with egg this 46-year-old onwards and upwards...or downwards in this case. Way to go!
Congratulations, great job - very inspiring.  The only bad thing is you will have to change your screen name to skinnydoc ;)
WOW you look like a whole new person, and I"m sure you feel like it also! Congrats!!!! :)
Congratulations!  An inspiration to many of us on the other side of 40....
You look great and I know you feel even better.  I've watched you lose during the past year and it's been inspiring!
Amazing transformation "skinnydoc"! You are truly an inspiration to us all! Maybe if I can get my 260 lb sister who is just turned 30 (and think she's hopeless) to see how wonderfully you can do for a woman (of your age even), how old are you? Not trying to be offensive here, But I've heard it can be more difficult for older people as your metabolism does slow down with age. And you did it through CC and working out?! Simple and wonderful concept isn't it? You amaze me...truly you do. Major kudos hun, you look fabulous!
I am 52 years old and will be 53 in January. It is really possible to lose weight at any age. All it takes is determination, willfulness, and dedication.
:) I'll be 28 next month myself! The 10th ;D
CoolSmile Congratulations, your loss is inspiring! CoolSmile
