10-15 LBS - Need help staying on track, all welcome to join!
I'm 25, newly married and am putting on weight. I got down to my ideal weight right before my wedding but the day after I went back to my old habits.
I need to lose 10-12 lbs and would like to post my meals each day and get any advice etc. Anyone who wants to join, feel free. This is the only way it works for me and this is how I lost the weight before!

Today's Meals
B: 1 cup of Maple Crunch cereal, 1 cup skim milk, tangerine (310)
S: 8 almonds, banana (~100)
L: 3 onces of baked salmon with lemon, broccoli spears, 1/2 cup of brown rice, apple sauce (~435)
S: tangerine, v8 shot (60)
D: BIG salad, 1 can of tuna in water, 1 slice of ww bread with 1 tsp of butter (~350)
Brings me to ~1255 and enough room for a little ice cream later :)
About the not liking gyms....I try to force myself on my lunches to go at least 3X a week...but this past weekend my boyfriend had a great idea...I really didn't want to go to the gym but I knew I would feel much better after exercise...so....he suggested I shovel my parking spot out. Now not everyone parks on the street...but any kind of shoveling snow will definitely burn lots of calories!! I burned 458 in an hour of shoveling! If you don't have a spot to do then help someone else out, you will feel better about helping someone too!
man, i wish we had snow here :( But we just get a lot of cold and no precipitation unfortunately
mondays my morning off, so again i didnt wake up in time for a proper bfast lol
bfast - 1 large glass apple juice and green tea - 233
lunch - 1 cubic inch of cheese on 2 slices of white bread (damn my lack of food) - 198
snack - porridge with brown sugar and raisins - 292
dinner - jacket potato with tuna, pesto and salad - 369
as for exercise i have no snow to shovel but i went to work and was cleaning the restaurant for 2 hours burning 420 cals (i did some aerobics and stretching at the same time lol)
Come here - there is PLENTY of snow to shovel with more on the way :S
Is anyone else going to weigh in today?
my weigh in on friday was: 145.80
my weight this morning was 148 though. Hopefully with all the unpackaged foods and water i've had today I can get back closer to that 145 by tomorrow (lots of booze and sodium this weekend)

I personally don't enjoy the groups, I find them to hard to keep track of. What I did to lose before was created a forum like this and we just posted our meals/exercise everyday and gave advice and encouragement to others. Then we weighed in every Monday - I chose monday because it helped me stay focused on the weekend (my downfall) because I knew that I had to post my weight here for all to see! So next Monday will be the first one.
Ah, you know, I love this type of set-up! Maybe cause that's what we did around the time I first joined CC, it was fun!
I like salmon, but nearly flipped the other day when hubby brought some home from the grocery store- it was fresh, and I don't know what the cut was, but the itty-bitty piece of fish cost $6!!
I would take lots of snow over snappin' cold weather anyday!
ive discovered to my horror that my scales are broken :'( noone i know has scales either which is slightly disturbing so i have no idea how much i weigh atm, how much ive lost/gained (though i doubt ive gained any) im hoping to get some 2mro but im in uni from 11-8 so i dont know when i can get them unless i get them beforehand...
I am going to be honest. Kids are driving me crazy...can't think straight so I didn't read any posts but I wanted to get my food posted. I will try and come back later and see what everyone has been talking about.

No clue on calories. I know I am up to 1000 now and its almost dinner. So, I need to eat about 750 calories for my goal....

205.5 down 4.5 lbs. Yeah!!!!
Bad eating day. I had 4 pizza bites earlier today and that is it. I forgot my lunch and my breakfast so I was going to get something to eat and was too busy to go so I will make up tonight for part of it.
Dinner tonight is baked chicken, 1 cup broccoli steamed and salad.
I will have a snack later tonight, probably a fresh fruit salad.
Will figure out calories in a bit.

Man am I dragging today. I wish I could go overboard eating because i gave blood, but it's only around an extra 50/day for 2 weeks or so while your body remakes the red blood cells.

all my friends cant believe how well im doing, ive never stuck at a diet for very long - tbh this is prob one of my longest attempts (yes, 1 week...)

S- 1 orange and 1 gala apple diced togther.
That brings me to 851 for day so I will have an extra snack later. I am proud, my daughter is selling candy bars for band and I have had none, someone brought donuts to work and I had none and my husband is making a cheesecake and I am skipping that for the fruit.

63 grams protein (a high for me. I don't eat much meat)

Overall it's not my best day, but I'm still low on sodium and feel like I'm fairly balanced.
Hi, I'm new here too. I'm 32, 60 kilos and 160cm (that's 132.3lbs, I think and I'm about 5'1". I'm no good on Imperial system as was raised using Metric)
I'm trying to lose a bit of weight because I'm heading home to visit my friend and family in Australia (I like in UK) in March. My goal is to get back down to 52, but I would be happy just slimming a few centimetres off the trouble-zones and fitting into half of my old wardrobe. The CC says I should strive for about 1200 a day as I'm not too active (but that's changing too).
It's been about a week, and I'm still having trouble counting the calories. I cook a lot of the food myself and my partner is vegetarian, so it's always surprising to see the calorie count of beans and chickpeas and lentils when I enter it into CC and look it up. Sometimes I think it's wrong! Anyone else finding that?
Anyway, this thread has given me some good ideas for sample menus for the next few weeks though. Thanks! I wish I could post a sample day in for you all, but I think I'm miscounting! Still getting my head around it.
For exercise, I've been totally unmotivated in getting into running or the gym, but I forced myself to run on Sunday and enjoyed it. I've just taken up a dance class, which isn't very aerobic or fat-burning, but the more you get into it, the more you burn. Plus I cycle to work and back - about 5 miles each way.

lunch - leek and potato soup followed by 24 grapes - 149
dinner - i have no idea but i have 1000 cals to go so im thinking i can have pudding too :D
ps skinny - nice to have another person who doesnt understand imperial (im also english and its so different) have a look on the packets of things for their cal content, or try somewhere else if you dont think the estimates are right here. i cook a lot of food at home too so i feel your pain with the adding!
ok, i just weighed myself on a new set of scales and its 65kg.... a loss of 5 kg... im not thinking so somehow! (thats 11lbs)
im hoping that my old scales (the broken set) were the ones giving out the dodgy reading!
im still hoping to get to 55kgs so ill weigh myself on some proper scales in the pharmacy when i get around there to see if my scales lie!
