10-15 LBS - Need help staying on track, all welcome to join!

I'm 25, newly married and am putting on weight.  I got down to my ideal weight right before my wedding but the day after I went back to my old habits.

I need to lose 10-12 lbs and would like to post my meals each day and get any advice etc.  Anyone who wants to join, feel free.  This is the only way it works for me and this is how I lost the weight before!

Start Weight - 144

Goal Weight - 133

Today's Meals

B: 1 cup of Maple Crunch cereal, 1 cup skim milk, tangerine (310)

S: 8 almonds, banana (~100)

L: 3 onces of baked salmon with lemon, broccoli spears, 1/2 cup of brown rice, apple sauce (~435)

S: tangerine, v8 shot (60)

D: BIG salad, 1 can of tuna in water, 1 slice of ww bread with 1 tsp of butter (~350)

Brings me to ~1255 and enough room for a little ice cream later :)

B - apple juice and porridge with cinnamon and dried cranberries

L - light egg and cress sandwich and a chocolate bar :s

D - jacket potato with tuna and a salad with a tiny amount of avocado

S - cappucinno with skimmed milk

all together 1200 cals but im working tonight so will probably burn about 600-900 cals so i could do with eating something else

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I had a total of 1187 cal.

Today I am not even going to try and count.  I ate everything in site.

I had 1 cup fried cauliflower, about a cup fried asparagus, a candy bar 2 bananas, a large bowl of frosted flakes, 1 slice garlic bread.

We went to our annual rib cookoff.  I am full and miserable and wishing I hadn't ate so much.

dont worry about it Cheryl, we all have our off days and your normally very disciplined so youve earnt a day off! anyway, is good to have a day off once in a while so that you trick your body into burning more calories. if you get it used to having the same amount each day, it will start burning off less and less calories as it gets used to not eating much (even if you do exercise) so having a day off it good for the diet (not to mention your mood etc, its always good to just forget about the fact your restricting yourself)

im slightly concerned about the lack of recent posts! wheres everyone gone?!

B - apple and mango juice and green tea - 55

L - grilled low fat sausage and poached egg sandwich  - 265

D - tuna pasta bake with a lot of salad - 448

i really need to have some more snacks but ill figure those out later on tonight, atm im completley stuffed!

Hi I just saw this forum and I am kind of new...wondering if I can join....I lost about 30 pounds last year and felt great.  Slowly over the past 6 months I havegained about 10-15 pounds and am so upset because all the beautiful clothes i bought when I was at my thinnest do not fit anymore!! I am 5;7 and 150 and need to get down to about 140.  I am just looking to stay on track becuse I am prone to overeat on weekends or days when I do not have a set schedule!

So I guess I will put what I ate so far?

 

Breakfast:

Yogurt, 2 nectarines

Lunch:
Salad with Chicken and raisins, 1 Cup Grapes

Weigh-in day.  Last Monday 203.  Today 199.  I hit my first 10lb goal.  YEAH!!!!

B-fruit and veggie juice - 130

L- lite yogurt -90

S- goldfish - 140     360 calories so far.

D- roast beef 3 oz. 1cup mashed potatoes, 1 cup steamed broccoli

Well under my 1200 cal.  I will have some fruit for dessert.  I will check the calories later and add another snack if I need to.

B - yogurt and granola with some juice  (cut out the honey :D) - 345

then went swimming and burn a wopping 600 cals in 1 hour :o

L - a ham subway (i was walking abck from swimming and i was justs sooo hungry! - 290

D - baked potato with cheese tuna and pesto and salad - 478

S - apple and chocolate milk - 238

all together about 1350 which im happy with :D

still exactly the same weight as my weigh in about 10 days ago though... why is this?!

Way under on calories, I need to eat something else.  I will have to find something

S1: Protein Shake (350)

L: Alfredo soup, bread slice (255)

S2: Fiber one (170)

D: Chicken lasagna (500)

About 1400 may need an extra snack to meet goal.

 

B: Yogurt, Nectarine (200)

S: Carrots with Cottage Cheese (200)

L: Salad with Tofu, yogurt (410)

S: Gu gel (energy gel before gym) and banana (230)

D:  Salad with tofu, 1 cup fruit salad (450)

Total: 1490

B: Fiber one, 2 slices turkey bacon (305)

S1: Protein Shake (310)

L: Shrimp Rice, fruit salad (300)

S2: Fiber bar, PB (200)

D: Chicken Tacos (basically whatever cals I have left, love my tacos!)

Been a few days since my last post.  I have been very sick.  Hopefully on my way to recovery.  I have not kept track of food but I have been within my 1200 cal.  Probably will not lose anything since I am on steroids.  I will weight tomorrow.

Aw, poor livseyam! Feel better!

I was crazy busy at work last week and did not post. I was also eating a lot of coffee shop food :(

The weekend was so-so - Saturday I was good all day with oatmeal and salad and fruit.  I went to a friend's for dinner and I skipped the greasy appetizers (had a single stuffed olive), avoided the bread, but blew it all on dessert. Cheesecake, whipped cream, chocolate ... yummy but my stomach hurt later.

Yesterday it felt like I was eating non-stop but looking at my log it wasn't that bad.  Oatmeal for breakfast, wholegrain pasta and veggies at lunch, then I grazed all evening rather than eating a real dinner - some cheese, some pickles, some popcorn, some frozen yogurt. I was a bit over the calorie budget but not that bad.

I think the worst is that I haven't been exercising. It has been icy here and hard to get outside. I'm going to do some stairclimbing on my lunch hour.

I totally fell off the wagon for a whole week and a half and I can feel it. I also gained about 2lbs. I am trying hard not to beat myself up about it and to move on. I really struggle with carbs, especially refined sugars and as usual that is what put me over. Otherwise I eat okay except when I look at some of the posts, I realise I eat more than the average person. It is only 9:45 and I have already had:

cereal w/ milk; small apple; carrots and hummus

For the rest of the day, I plan to have

Lunch: 1/2 cup brown rice, baked salmon and salad green

afternoon snack-  watermelon pieces and yogurt

Dinner: Whole wheat spaghetti & sauce made with ground turkey and steamed veggies.

Does that seem to carb hevay to you guys. I find that if I don't have carbs with my meal, I tend to not feel as satisfied.

Maybe this is a better group for me.  I would like to join.  Stats: 5.3", 129lb ( 1 down from Saturday... but still far from goal).  Goal: 115

YESTERDAY:

B: 2 scrambled eggs with 2 slices ham on a roll with 2 tbsp ketchup and coffee with milk

L: Salad with lettuce, tomato, 1 hb egg, 3oz grilled chicken, 1/4 avocado, cucumber and onion

S: 1 tbsp light cream cheese, 1 cup fresh vegetables and 1 square dark chocolate

D: 1 can low sodium chicken soup, 10 olives, 3 pcs cheese and 1/4 melon

S2: 1 apple

OK, this was helping me be on track, so trying again.

Yesterday:

Breakfast - 1/2 cup of oatmeal

Snack - handful of potato chips (but that was still 150 cals)

Lunch - green salad with goat cheese and vinegar

Snack - sugar snap peas and Granny smith apple

Dinner - quiche and mashed potatoes, half a glass of wine

Dessert - SIX pieces of Ferrero Rocher (what was I thinking???? and who left that big box out on the kitchen table???)
