148 lbs. & have been stuck here for 2 weeks. How do I continue to lose weight? I want to be 120 lbs.
ARGH! I've been stuck at 148 lbs. now for 2 weeks. I have been steadily losing 2 lbs. a week. I want to be 120 lbs. How do I start losing again?
depends what your stats are,
i need to be at least 120 and to get lower i need to 'starve' my diet, im a girl, 14 and 5/5.....maybe your body wants 148, you should ask your doctor, dont go out on your own
I'm a small frame & can be 120 lbs. minimum. That's my goal weight. All my life I've been 120 lbs. & looked fine. It's been the last 9 years that I've gained all this weight. I have 30 more lbs. to go to get back to my normal weight.
i wouldnt aim for ur minimum, im 125 and told im slim.
im out of dieting mindset but it sounds like one of those plateau thingys (can't spell)
i mean i dont know your intake, exercise output or u as an individual, thats your doctors job, diets should always be with their help, always. lol since my ED my doctor been in a bad mood with me :)
i wouldn't go under 1400cals to loose anymore, maybe up exercise, if you are already doing enough dont over-do it. maitain that until you see the doctor
I was stuck between 154 and 158 for like 6 weeks! Finally I'm moving back in the downward direction. I think this is primarily do to my new job where I'm way more physical.
Maybe you should bump up your exercise routine?
Or you might need to start measuring your foods more. Maybe you're guesstimating wrong? About once a week I measure things to make sure I'm actually getting the portion that I think I am.
Or you need to more strictly start counting your calories again? I actually hate counting so I don't but every once and a while it helps to strictly log for a few days.
There's really no way of knowing what you need to be doing without more info about what you are doing. =)
I was plateaued at about 136 for probably 2 months. It was horrid. What finally got me going again was eating at or a little bit above my maintenance calories for a week. Then I lowered back down to my dieting calories. It worked like a charm and I started loosing 1-2lbs per week after that.
One good suggestion is to go to your food log and find out what you were eating during the period of time when you were losing the most weight, except for that first week which included a lot of water weight.
Another thing to watch for is eating the same thing day after day. Your body will get used to it, and start to be able to use it too well. This overrides suggestion 1 if necessary.
Often not just your body is involved, it is the rut you are in. Over time we measure and find the things that satisfy us most. Often that is because of some slight error we have underestimated the number of calories in something. Your body knows the instant it hits your tongue and tells your brain to give me more of that. Gradually, we find a whole group of these things and stop loosing weight.
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
In terms of calorie burning, moderate jumping is about equal to running a 10-minute mile, although calorie burning is always a function of time... Read more
