25lbs by 4th of july ... anyone with me!!!!

ok so im looking to lose the last of this weight before swim suit season is in full action!!!! ( i have this hot pink polka dot bikini i want to wear) I really have lost weight fairly easily since last fall but as i get closer to goal it is becoming harder. I would love to have some folks to keep eachother accountable and to be able to discuss any issues we might be having. I was thinking friday weigh ins as i like to eat on the weekends :P. A bit about me. Ive been working on weight loss pretty much all of my life. I have had 4 children with the last two 11 months apart and this has really done a number on my body. I have never been skinny but i was never over 200lbs. I now know that im done having children and am excited to have made a lifestyle change that makes me feel better as well as look better. for me the weight loss is only one aspect of it. Im stronger, faster, have more energy and feel good about myself. And all of these things are just as important. I can play tag with my kids and it feels great!!! But I will admit that itty bitty polka dot bikini is calling my name. ok so heres my stats.

biggest weakness is moderation. its either all or nothing, especially when it comes to chocolate.

To all of you who are wanting to lose any weight by july 4th join up as 25 lbs was just my particular number and who knows it might be a bit high...but i tend to do that...set high goals ...but most of the time i achieve them :) ...he he....anyways today is saturday and im doing great on the eating. but i dont want to excercise...i want to sleep....lol...woke up to snow falling so its so cold....where last saturday it was mid 70's ...the weather changes always effect me...lol...but i think i will pop in a video since its too cold to run outside and do that...how are you all feeling today?.....hot pink bikini hot pink bikini....lol.....thats the thing making me get off my butt....lol

I have a ring stuck on my finger since last month.  the new goal is dismissing pound-counting and focusing on getting it the hell off my sausage fingers.

I walked nine (9!) miles around montreal today.  I think I will lie in bed and watch "the lady eve" until nightfall.

My goal is July 4th as well.  I'm having a hard time staying motivated though and I  hate the thought that it will take this long to get these last 20pounds off.  My worst habit is eating because I get bored.. and I am bored and lonely a lot since I am by myself.

Julia....you are funny...sausage fingers....9 miles is awesome... bet your legs are tired....lol...i did my video and lots of laundry...i purposely didnt separate it properly so id have to do a lot of back and forths...maybe i burned some extra calories...he he.

izaboo...i understand the hard time staying motivated... i too get bored and like to eat...i also like to pick off the kiddos plates and that s a big no no...i know it sucks when your so close to goal and you arent going get there as fast as youd like but hey...i know you'll get there. i know i will reach my goal as well even if it takes me longer then i would like. keep your heads up ladies  :)

I'm 5'8", medium type and fluffy because of my love handles, hips and huuuge thighs (I'm Greek!!)

I'm in!  I'm really just starting to count my calories, but I really think having some people to hold me accountable will help me stay on track.

My biggest issue is diet, exercise has become more of a habit to me.  I tend to snack the worst after work.  (I work 12 hour shifts and come home starving and end up eating at 9 pm)  Any suggestions ladies?

I'm definitely in! I have exactly 28.8lbs to lose but when I hit 25lbs the rest should be a breeze, lol!

meaganismyname - Try bringing snacks to work. I only work 8 hours but I still eat every 3 hours. I have a food drawer at work full of nutrigrain bars, ziplocs of cheerios, animal crackers, and even 90 calories snack packs of popcorn. I tell you those nutrigrain bars carry me a LONG way too! Wink

Try that and you should be able to eat modestly when you get home at 9pm.

I keep losing motivation and I really don't understand why. Hopefully I'll stay on track this time. I really would like to be 120 for my birthday (December 10th) so I feel better about myself.

Ok guys, count me in. I want to lose 25 pounds by 29.June.08, time  we'll be leaving for a summer cottage. Currently I am 217 pounds (98.5kg) and want to go down to 192 pounds (87 kg).

I'll keep you posted on my progress, I already started yesterday.

Meaganismyname.... I tend to eat late at night as well not out of necessity but out of just being more hungry in the eve than the day.  so i do tend to keep my calories lower for the day. but sounds like you just are starving from not eating at all?....i would just keep little snacks that you can keep in your pocket like raisins or maybe a protein bar ....that way you are keeping yourself fueled so that when you get home you wont be famished. also on your meals make sure to eat balanced protein and carbs ...it will help to keep hunger off and you will feel more fufilled.

Halcyonlies.... I know how you feel about losing motivation that is so why i needed a group where we could all hold eachother accountable. I think if i have someone going through the same thing as myself and having those people to share triumphs, and to talk about those not so good days it will be much easier to stay on track.

Well....too all you ladies...i hope the weekend has been good to you and that we're all still on track for the week. I had a lovely breakfast of cottage cheese and oatmeal....lol...can you tell i was being sarcastic....i need to restock my fridge...lol....anyways....im gonna do a video as it is still to cold to go running and the gyms daycare isnt open on sunday ....and then i m gonna do some freeweights....whats ya'lls plans for today.

Plans for today: NONE! :D Because usually weekends are the days where I get the exercise from random places: like walking around like a retard in the supermarket LOL :D or plaing with my 2 y/o cousin for HOURS!

I eat late at night too! It's basically the only time when I'm am REALLY hungry. Like right now, I'm eating popcorn :D

 

As for snacks, I usually eat protein bars but right nw I'm trying to cut sugar out of my diet. My family has strong records of diabetes and heart sugeries. I'm afraid :-S

I'm in! My weight loss has been extremely slow thus far due to a hormonal imbalance, but recently it has picked up. Like ya'll said, the worst that can happen is I only lose 10lbs! I have a wedding to go to on the 12th of July, and would like to drop some weight before then so I can wear a cute dress! I won't reach my end goal weight by then, but I will definitely be closer! I just purchased the hip hop abs dvds, has anyone tried those?

babyboo -- I am going to astoria, queens NYC for greek easter to visit my thia pauline.  her family puts a lamb on the spit in the tiny backyard, and the smoke fills the entire neighborhood.  I'm terrified I am going to completely lose it, diet-wise.  I'll have to spend the whole time hiding from yiayia and her attempts at force feeding me.  any suggestions for how to deal with my new york greeks?

 

sweety -- it's true.  I am cursed with delicious little vienna sausages for fingers.  as for the walking, I just hope the amount of pain I am in corresponds to the amount of sexy I'll become.  right now cottage cheese and oatmeal sounds wonderful.  I'm over on my calories and therefore am determined to angrily chomp on green beans instead of tearing through my refrigerator lookin' for love.
