       &nb sp;              Is there anyone that would like to buddy up with similar stats to help motivate eachother? I would love to have someone that does not want to be super skinny but has the desire to benefit themself for themself! I want to be healthy and i want to be happy with myself!

 

       &nb sp;             I need to do this and finish what i came to this site for back in january 2008. I dropped from 190 to 145 and have maintained for a year ! ITS TIME TO DO THIS AGAIN!

Hey there!! I am 5'4.5 and 144 lbs. I started CC'ing in June of last year and successfully lost close to 35lbs. My original goal was to get down to 130 - 135lbs but I've been maintaining between 142 - 145 for the past 6 months and I really would like to give it another try!!

hey v! I have struggled to really get motivated into wanting to try again, i have a fear of failure :( We have both lost so much, and i say you look really good at your current weight too!

 

I am a mom of two and work full time , i only do 30 min of working out 3-4 times a week, and was looking towards 1500 cals, i love to eat! I am not a strict dieter bc i love food! But i really need to try this out again! so if we can check back in whenever that would be awesome!

Well, you are doing much better than I am in the exercise department.. I was swimming, jogging and lifting free weights up until a few months ago but I have completely stopped! I work from home and lately my motivation is waning.. I love the idea of checking in but would also like to keep in check through our journals.. how does that sound?

Sure i can always check your journal to see your progress. I always feel so mediocre in the workout part of dieting, but i just purchased a couple new dvds to do some new stuff. I love the tamilee workouts they make me feel pretty good about myself.  I think i want to shoot for 1400 cals- how bout you?

Shauna, I think I will also aim for 1400cals per day. My sedentary burn is of 1620, so assuming I can burn off a couple hundred more from exercise every day, I should be able to see a small deficit.

I also have a hard time with working out because I can easily get bored.. I dislike going to the gym because I feel boxed in! I like doing stuff outdoors but admit I enjoy doing pilates and yoga from a DVD while at home.. jajaja no one can see me in a weird pose if I'm at home, right?

I will update my journal later on with today's menu and exercise plan.. Laughing

I just bought a skipping rope... 30 minutes of skipping (walking in between sets) burns 300 calories!!! Skip outside V! It's fun and you'll sweat like you've never sweat before!!

I am soo in!!! I have been struggling to get to the 130's for a year now...it's so hard and I have the added pressure of a wedding RIGHT around the corner. I need the support and motavation!

BTW I am 5'4 and 142.6 as of today...I briefly saw 139 last week, but it only lasted a day :(

I've made plans to go jogging tonight and will do some jump rope afterward. I'm really looking forward to it now!

Hey peachydot, welcome to our little group!! is it your wedding that's coming up? I am a wedding planner in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and know all too well the pressure everyone (women especially!) is under when it comes to weddings...

Given enough time and with a little determination on our parts, we should see some great results!!

Ugh I just got home from the gym (INTENSE WORKOUT!!!) but i ruined it by binge eating :( No more food for me today I ate all of my calories!!

I have a wedding to go to on Saturday so I need to be good for the next four days!!!

I'm 5'2 and 141 lbs. I used CC in the past and was able to lose 12 lbs but I stopped and put half back on. I am hoping to get down to 125-130. I could use all the support in the world.  Any ideas on how to deal with stress? That is  my biggest problem right now. I am stressed and eat everything I can get my hands on.

Omg i am so excited to have all you with me, its so nice to have support.

devious- i had bought a jump rope , but omg it is hard to keep it up. Alot of cal burned but wow it is hard!

 

peachy- a wedding would be some pressure for sure, but try to think of the working out and eating as your way of helping yourself! I have faith in you!

I did my 30 mins of work out on my lunch break today, and then we had a really severe storm that knocked our power out. So we had to go out to eat bc i couldnt cook. ugh! but i kept my cals at 750 until dinner then i got a chix taco salad at this lil american mexican place and had a serving of tortilla chips with a lil cheese dip. i didnt eat much of the salad so im hoping im still good! I hate eating out just bc you never know the actual calories!

Any good suggestions for eating out?

When I have to eat out I always suggest Applebee's. They have a low calorie menu that actually tastes pretty good.

ya i love them but my hubby not so much- its a fight to go there- lol

I'm 5'3'' and currently 149lbs. I am looking to be around 130-135lbs. I like to run x-country and long-distance, so I am really hoping to lose the weight so that I can run more quickly and easily.

I am also starting college in a little over two weeks, so I want to bring myself into a good routine before then.

Its my wedding and its 26 days away. Totally freaking out over this size/weight thing. I worked my butt off and I am happy with the results but after my first fitting and alterations last night it wasn't enough. I am still a little to "hippy" for my dress and it has to be taken out.

But I am proud of what I have done so far and I just gotta keep on trekking!

Since 2007 I have lost 23 pounds and I have 12 more to go. but it isn't going to happen over night or before my wedding lol.

What do you guys think of setting an official weigh in day (weekly) for our little group? I have done this in the past with different groups and found it to be extremely motivating! Let me know what you think and what would be a good day for everyone...

Peachydot, you should be very proud of what you have accomplished!! I'm sorry to hear you had a bad fitting yesterday... have you looked into getting form fitting undergarments? I would also suggest watching your carbs and sodium, as well as avoid changing your exercise regime too much in the next few weeks as all could promote water retention.. I am sure you will be a beautiful bride!!
