Leg shaving.
I'm thinking of shaving my legs. Leg shaving is normal for cyclists but I've just never been able to bring myself to do it. I guess it's because I come from an era when the only thing a man shaved was his face.
So I was wondering how many men out there shave some area other than their face and what women think of the men that do it?
How about just trimming? Most electric razors have a trimmer setting and trimming should keep it short enough that you don't have problems with road rash but you'll still have some hair.
I'm hoping for some before and after pics ![]()

I've been cycling for 30 years and I haven't shaved yet. It's just that I signed up for a serious event in July and I want to look like I belong there.
Shave for the event and see if you like it.

Well, that's what I'm thinking of doing. But I don't want to wait until the last minute and then find out that I find it irritating.
You should really be asking whoever it is you sleep with, since she's the one who will be dealing with the stubble.
:)

But my question wasn't really about cyclists. I know of several younger men in their twenties that shave their entire bodies; chest, back, arms, legs, etc.
Beware-These are the men you don't want using the urinal right next to you when there are 5 others available.
A guy shaving his body doesn't mean he's gay. Sleeping with his barber does.

As a woman, I can tell you that when I shave "certain parts", it gets a little itchy/irritating for about 2 or 3 days afterwards.
Can't say you'll be the same, but maybe.
You can also try hair removal creams available at your local drugstore.
Really, let us know what you decide to do. And like I said before. . . feel free to post photos. ;)
try nad's and tell us how it works. nad's intrigues me.

She wasn't crazy about the idea but a value your opinion more than hers.
I'm fine with guys shaving. Kissing skin is nice.

I was talking about my legs, nothing else.
Then nad's is the product for you....
now how much would you pay?
trhawley - If you can handle it, waxing is much nicer... no razor-burn or nasty stubble.... Even if you just waxed from the knees down...
trust me - Mac would hate waxing.

I'm with you. I don't like body hair. A man with a hairy body is pretty much a deal breaker. I have known of a couple of guys who shave their whole bodies. The one guy told me he shaves his whole body every time he showers and it only takes him a few minutes. He was a very manly, sexy man. He just hated body hair.

Two of my three brothers, and my father, all are cyclists who shave their legs. My brothers are not hairy at all and it really doesn't look any different. My dad is VERY hairy on his entire body so it's pretty noticeable. But knowing they are cyclists, I don't think anything of it...
Well, I'm pretty hairy elsewhere as well and this has been one of my concerns, that it would look out-of-balance.
But my question wasn't really about cyclists. I know of several younger men in their twenties that shave their entire bodies; chest, back, arms, legs, etc. I think this is an odd fashion trend and was wondering what others thought of it. Or did you just think that men weren't as hairy as they used to be?
Men who shave their entire bodies gross me out. Big time. I do not fall into the "younger" category (I am 36).
I briefly (very very briefly) dated a man who shaved his entire body. It was oogie. Just my opinion. I don't get it and I do also find it very odd.
Men are men... what's wrong with some hair?!?!
I don't mind hair on a guy... but I do like my relatively hairless DH. He's part native american, and has very little hair on his chest and none on his back.
His legs are somewhat hariy, but I don't think it would bother me if they were not... unless they were stubbly.
I think it's the Hollywood make-up artist that started the hairless man trend. They got tired of gluing chest hairs on all of the girlie actor men.
