Leg shaving.

I'm thinking of shaving my legs.  Leg shaving is normal for cyclists but I've just never been able to bring myself to do it.  I guess it's because I come from an era when the only thing a man shaved was his face.

So I was wondering how many men out there shave some area other than their face and what women think of the men that do it?

Personally I find men who shave their body hair really unattractive even though I love a clean shaven face. In my opinion it's unmanly and speaks to them being either insecure or kind of prissy, this also goes for guys who obviously shape their eyebrows and prissy for me is not an attractive trait in a man.

My DH is not a hairy guy, he has like 2 chest hairs and one day I may just call him on his on-going threat to grow a beard (because I really don't think he can).  If he one day decided to up and shave his legs I would tease him mercilessly until it grew back :P

If you have been cycling for 30 years and doing fine with your leg hair I would just keep it where it is :)

Now if Mac wanted to shave his eyebrows off and paint them back on with a red crayon, and walk nude down main street singing show tunes, well, then the thread would have been a complete train wreck.

My boyfriend is pretty hairy, and it doesn't bother me at all. I actually prefer moderately hairy men. Though if he wanted to shave, I wouldn't be against it.

I don't think it's weird to dislike body hair. I have very little body hair and I don't particularly like to lick or kiss body hair.

What's wrong with women who don't shave? I'll bet you consider that as weird as men who do shave. Do you realize that women have been shaving their body hair for less than 100 years? Do you realize that it was Gillette who convinced women to shave their pits less than 100 years ago?

did you know that gillette now has tutorial vids out now to teach men how to manscape?

i spose thats a significant market segment - manscapers, yah?

Wrong.  The 3rd posting was off topic and a deffinate taze.  It was rude and uncalled for.  She owes that woman an apology. That was just mean for mean sake. 

I would also hope a moderator removes it before the girl gets wind that it's here.  

I know Pg is extremely intellegent, very funny, and oft times snarky...  in this instance,  it just wasn't needed.  She knows many cultures don't shave for a myriad of reasons.

i thought it was funny {shrug}.  apparently so did almost everyone else.  and grassdress seems like a chick who can roll with it.

anyway, i'm a little concerned that the reason this thread has stayed mostly on-topic is that it's a bunch of women pacifying a man about his appearance.  and those of you who know me know i'm not saying that to get on tom's good side....

Yes she is! She is also now in Germany ( a culture that typically doesnt shave. ) studying, working, seeing a bit of the world.  She has changed herself inside and out. Spiritually ( the dreads is part of that. ), Physically ( by losing a weight and practicing yoga. ) Emotionally, I am sure she has gone through her highs n lows.  There's not a doubt in my mind she couldnt find the humor too.  But thats not the point is it. 

The point is...  You were wrong to go into a member of this communities gallery and pull out a pic for sole purpose of making it a joke.  At whose expense was this made?  Not yours.  You didnt google a goofy pic for your purpose.  Nope you exploited a community  member.  Which I fear I am beginning to do myself in making my point. 

Bottom line.  You owe her an apology. 

You owe the community one as well.  Its one thing to be highjacked by stranger.  It's a betrayal in this instance.   I think people should be able to post pics to their gallery without fear of becoming the butt of someones joke.

I think YOU should apologize to grass roots for making it seem as if she can't speak up for herself. What is she, a child that needs an advocate? I am sure she can fend for herself.

If grassroots was embarrassed about her pit hair, she wouldn't have put pics up that show it.

If grassroots didn't want anyone anywhere finding that picture, she wouldn't have put the pic up.

If anyone puts pics up anywhere on the internet, they could be used for anything anywhere anytime. Anyone that doesn't understand that in this day and age shouldn't be posting pics on the internet.
