I'm thinking of shaving my legs.  Leg shaving is normal for cyclists but I've just never been able to bring myself to do it.  I guess it's because I come from an era when the only thing a man shaved was his face.

So I was wondering how many men out there shave some area other than their face and what women think of the men that do it?

Well, Tom, dear, shaving is great however, you must know that stubble sucks.  I have pretty thick leg hair for a woman.  But its not as thick as most men's.  Think about how fast your face-hair grows.  That's how fast your leg hair will most likely grow back in.  Also, the hairs are thick on men's legs.  When it grows back in, the edges of each hair are sharp and can 'scrape' against the folicle, causing these red bumps that itch and burn, esp. when you sweat.

So if you're thinking about shaving and sweating, it's probably not a good idea.  I mean, your leg hair can't be creating that much drag on your bike.

I don't recommend it.  Also, personally, I think its a little creepy for a guy to shave his legs.  But that's just me.

maybe just do it and then figure out how you feel about it
