Lent!! give up your greatest weakness!!

Quote  |  Reply

ok here's a great idea...lent starts TOMORROW and it lasts until easter- thats about a month and a half

for all those people who are saying they can't stop themselves from eating chocolate or carbs and stuff like that..give it up!! that way you're helping your weight, challenging your will power and self control, and hey- might as well glorify god in the process =)

just a thought..

i'm giving up chocolate, candy, and fast food =) GOD GIVE ME STRENGTH!

This is a great idea!  :D

I shall give up sugary cereal!  That includes those dreaded honey-nut cheerios!!  >:D

I'm giving up Diet Coke, again! I did it before and after awhile it tasted awful, then idk what happened! And I'll give up candy, just to make it a little more challenging.

yea yea thats what i'm hoping..that after such a long time of not eating it that it will decrease my overall cravings =) =)

I am also going to give up fast foods, because I have been addicted to double cheeseburgers as long as I can remember. LOL

I wonder if I should give up anything else...
Oh yeah...soda. I'm giving that up too...
I am giving up red meats, and poultry!

Beer and junk food are out despite the 6 nations being on!
just pretend its lent all the time then u wont be giving anything up, u just wont have the option of eating or drinking it. if u don't buy bad stuff when u go to the store its not around 4 u to eat when u r hungry. i try and go to the store after i've already eaten so i won't buy a whole bunch of **** my body doesn't need. i guess if i had to  give up something it would have to be trail mix.
I'm giving up all soda... and saying the F word (Cause i say it too much)
my friend is stupid and giving up flour.

Instead of giving something up, I decided to commit to entering every single thing I eat every day in my food log.  (I stopped doing it months ago once jogging was melting the pounds away even without watching what I ate.  Now that I have an injury and can't jog, I need to be more careful about food.)  I'm also considering commiting to having sex every day with my boyfriend. Surprised I know, not very Lent-like, but then again, I'm not very religious.  I use Lent as an opportunity to forge better habits every year.  (I think I might be struck by lightning any minute!)
