Leslie Sansone - Walking Videos
Good Morning,
I have re-started my exercise program and because the weather is so yucky I needed something I could do inside. I have the walking tapes and got up early this morning and did the two mile express. I did work up a sweat and got my heart rate up.
Has anyone used these videos and to what success? I will continue the 2 mile until the end of January then move up to the 3 mile. I am doing a 10k on March 28, 2009 (walking) so this is the beginning of my training. I weigh less than when I did the walk last year so I know I can do it, but would like to be below 200 pounds by the walk (need to lose 29 pounds by then)
Thanks for any input.
Back in 2005 when I was at my healthiest, I had lost the 30 lbs by eating right and doing the 4 mile super challenge every single day.
I am back doing it again, however, it taking a little longer this time. Life is a bit different and I haven't been able to dedicate myself fully yet. I plan to but I had great success with it in the past.
Good luck!
I've lost the majority of my weight doing Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds!! (Which is currently 90 lbs!!! and counting!) I just got her new 5 mile fat burning walk and it's wonderful! I have almost all of her DVD's but I do like her newer ones better!! Keep it up you will have success!! I just finished the 5 mile one today and I burnt 779 calories according to my Polar HRM--but I'm a tall girl at almost 6 feet!!!!!!
Love her stuff. I do the 2 mile walk at work ( of course if I'm not busy) with my ipod. I have found it very helpful.
thank you for the replies. I enjoyed the 2 mile walk. I hope by the end of the month to be able to complete the 3 mile walk.
I love Leslie. (She's like Sarah Palin, but doing something she's actually qualified for :) ). I switch between Walk & Firm which contains a wee bit of strength training with a resistance band and the Walk Slim program DVDs. The set is great and actually quite inexpensive - it contains a 2 mile walk, a firming dvd and resistance band, a 3 mile walk and the 4 mile super challenge I haven't quite worked up to yet and I got it all for $40 on her website.
I've lost 18 lbs in 10 weeks combining Leslie and diet changes. It's been especially good for me because I have a mild disability and a gym phobia. It's something that works for all fitness levels and that I can do on my schedule and in the privacy of my living room.
Love her
I work out all the time with her i am a member of her website club
so far not lost weight but inches
good luck and enjoy i do

Hi,
I am interested in this CD. Can you please give me more information? Can I put this in my IPOD and walk with it? Currently, I walk with my ipod or watch TV when I am home and it does get old after a while. I would appreciate any help in this matter. Thanks.
Hello....I was very excited to see Leslie listed here and the questions you asked....
Between 2006 and 2007 I lost nearly around 115 lbs....and my principal form of exercise during this time were her 3 and 4 mile tapes ....I still pop her videos in as part of my exercising routine to maintain....she is so upbeat, easy to follow, and the time really flies...and her programs are really designed where YOU can adapt them to your own needs....
highly recommend!
Go to Itunes.. she has the walks on itunes. that is what I have her two mile podcast. I don't remember how much I paid for it. but totally worth it
I didn't know she had a website, but I am going to look into it. I only have two of her tapes. the 1 and 2 mile walk and the 3 mile one. I have the resistance band as well.
I think her DVDs are great, especially for people who are just getting into or back into exercise. I did them for a year or so, but eventually burned out on them and became a gym rat instead. I still have a big box of DVDs that I haven't used in almost 2 years now. Maybe I should blow the dust off and try them out again just for a change of pace.
Thanks for the information. I will go on itunes and get it. Thanks again.

Theresa, hi. My name is Theresa too! In the fall of 2007 I started walking one mile and doing Leslie's one mile workout. I of course progressed to her 2 mile and sometimes 3mile and within 9 weeks (with NO diet changes) I lost 13 lbs and tons of inches. Here is the problem I encountered: I weighed about 230-like you and did the exercises about 6-7 times a week, by the time 9 weeks was done, I could not walk anymore! My feet were in constant pain, even if I was not on them! I had great shoes, but I guess with my weight and knee problems I was not doing the exercises correctly and damaged my feet. It is now over a year after I stopped with the walking exercises and still have major problems! If I do any shopping, I have pain the rest of the day or if I have to be on my feet for any length of time, I'm done for. Now I'm NOT trying to discourage anyone from working out with her (cause I loved her) or not to do it at all, I'm just saying BE VERY CAREFUL AND DON'T OVER DO IT!
PS My update: In December I was 247 and today I am at 240! I am doing an upper body/ab work out and counting calories (of course). I am shooting for 30 lbs by March 28th with all the water weight. I really hope you do well on your 10K!
GOOD LUCK!
