less than 200 cals, sweet, filling: any suggestions?

Quote  |  Reply

I am craving a billion chocolate chip cookies and brownies right now. Luckily I'm well under my calorie limit for the day. Cany anyone suggest a 200 calorie alternative that will still be filling and sweet? I'd do fresh fruits, but I'm bored of just yogurt and strawberries.

I'd probably do 2 eggo waffes (180) with carys sugar free syrup (20 calories for a little less than 1/4 cup)

= 200

But id probably add a piece of light toast (40) and smuckers sugar free jelly (12 - 1/2 tbs)

=52

252 for waffles and toast with jelly ... But I love breakfast. =P

Sounds not so satisfying but it really Is > 270 Grams Green cantaloupe and a 200 Gram apple
I really like oatmeal with cocoa powder, coffee (it brings out the chocolate flavor!) and soy milk stirred in!  It fixes my chocolate cravings really fast =)

You can fix the measurements to fit your calorie needs really easily too!

hot chocolate maybe?

or combine hot chocolate powder to make oatmeal. healthy & sweet & filling.

or you could have cereal and some milk-- that's pretty sweet and filling

or some apple sauce! I love applesauce=]

I invented some delicious muffins!

http://caloriecount.about.com/recipe/118464.h tml

They're only 185 calories each.  There's a lot of sugar, but you can replace some or all of it with Splenda or whatever if you need to.  The info is for a normal-sized small muffin, so it would be a good idea to replace some sugar cos you will pobably want to eat two Laughing

Ohh they are so good!

Since its summer, lately I've been buying fair trade dark baking chocolate (melts really well) and then I make a little fruit fondue...strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and maybe a banana...its SO filling and the dark chocolate is much lower in calorie than milk chocolate!

im addicted to chocolate so i eat this every night:

1/2 cup fat free milk  45 cals

1 serving triple chocolate slow churned dreyers ice cream  110 cals 3.5 fat

2 tbsp hersheys sugar free chocolate syrup (with vitamin and mineral fortification) 15 cals 0 fat

170 cals 3.5 grams of fat

i put it all in a glass and eat it with a spoon :)

When I need a sweet dessert, I whip up a little pseudo apple pie filling. I just slice an apple or two, steam it in a skillet with a little water, then once the water is gone, sautee in the teeniest bit of butter or margarine (you can leave it out and just add some more water), add 1 T brown sugar and load on the cinnamon. Sooooooo good.

- 1T. brown sugar = 50 calories

- 1 Large Apple = 110 calories

- 1t. margarine = 34 calories (though I usually leave it out b/c of the fat)

Right now, I'm eating my dessert after supper:

1 cup of Kashi honey puffed cereal (120 cals) with Silk unsweetened soy milk (40) = 160 cals total. It's great with added strawberries!

I also make the apple dessert decribes above but I put cinnamon & brown sugar on the apple, then add a bit of butter to some rolled oats, mix it, dump it on top of the apple pieces, then microwave until apple is soft.

I'm sure if you use the peanut butter sparingly, you could have a piece of whole wheat toast + PB and jam for under 200 cals.

omg rwarfel the apples were delicious!!!!!!!!!!!

ty so much for that :)

oh i used that 0 cal spray butter mmmmmm

For 200 calories, you could have an actual brownie or cookie if you really wanted it.

Oh you liked it! Yay! It's good right??? I need to get some of that spray butter, love that stuff!

Hungry girl has some really easy brownie muffins you can whip up in no time they are really good and about 180 calories or 181. You just mix a devils food cake mix with a can of pumpkin and bake em up. I make them then freeze some for when I want a brownie. I figure they must be good if my dad will even eat them and he's not on a diet. lol

Vitamuffin Deep Chocolate muffin tops!  In the freezer section- maybe near the organic os specialty foods.  100 delicious calories, some fiber, etc.  Certainly not for everyday (highish sugar) but gets me over those cravings!

Edy's makes a 80 calorie Lime Bar (also in other flavors) that are AWESOME.  They don't melt fast, so you an sit and enjoy it for like 10 minutes.  I do and it is very satisfying.  Go get them in the freezer section!  They are like $3 for a pkg of 6 here where I live.  It's so worth it.  Publix also makes their brand of frozen yogurt that is 120 calories for one serving (1/2 c I believe) if you HAVE to have chocolate!

This sounds heavenly - I'M going to be trying it!  I make homemade fruit salad every week, this would be a perfect topping!  LOVE Lindt's 85% cocao....try it!

My fav little snack is to have a few dark chocolate Dove miniatures with almond chips.  Sooooo good - they literally melt in your mouth! I don't have the exact calorie count but you can look them up on this site.  You can definitely have a few for under 200 calories.  I always keep a bag on hand!  Good luck.

Angelfood cake (so very bad for you but whatever): 80 cals

Cut up pineapple or strawberries or both: 40 or 50 cals

Light Cool whip: I use about 50 or so cals of it

Instructions: dump all in a bowl and eat
