Hi, I was wondering it's been about 15 days since I started my diet I've lost about 4 lbs is this too less or is this normal. I was reallly hoping to see a dramatic amount drop the first week because people always tell me the first week you drop a lot, but I've only dropped 4 lbs in about 2 weeks. I've been on a very strict diet, so is this normal? Also, is it true you drop a lot of weight the first week or is this a myth? thank you.

some people drop a lot the first week, but I think it depends on how bad you were eating before. I ate TONS and as soon as I started eating around 1500 calories, I dropped a lot of weight fast (I'm pretty sure most of it was water weight). 4 lbs in 2 weeks is awesome! 2 lbs a week is the most you should aim for. It might slow down to 1 lb a week, or it may stay at 2... but you've just gotta keep up your eating right and exercising :)
okay thank you. I was just checking because I was a bit dissapointed but now I'm good. thanks again! =] ( also when I thought about it, if I lose 2lbs every week I'll be to my goal clser than I thought)
losing two pounds a week is very healthy and if you keep it at that rate you're probably making changes that you'll be able to stick to longer. most people that loose more than 2 pounds in the first week have a lot to loose; over 40 lbs. The closer you get to your goal weight, when you only have 10 lbs left to loose, the harder it gets, sucks, but it's true.
good luck
