Hey all, I'm looking for others with similar goals (not stats, anybody who's 10 or less from their goal) so we can keep each other company for the last leg of the weight-loss extravaganza. A small group would be great fun! (Let's keep it to just the first 10 or so who join - if I even get that many takers!)

My stats:

Age: 22

Height: 5'0

CW: 107-110 (morning-evening)

Goal Weight: 98-101

Even with my chinese food I'm hoping to have dropped a lil bit by this Friday. Good job on working out Veg, maybe you two should have a rest day in between working out, or have a lighter work out day.

I have no choice ... I can barely move right now ... oh, squats are bad ...

Looks like the rest fo the group is either really busy or avoiding us, lol. I hope everyone is doing well. Weigh in day is tomorrow and I'm hoping I have a good report.

Hey there all! Not avoiding you guys, just swamped with my first week on the job (at MyGym Children's Fitness Center) and it's tech week for my show. Just got back from CVS where I got myself some clearance green tea w. hoodia pills... if they don't help me lose, at least they'll keep me hyper for the kids... hahaha

Weigh-In Day!

106.2 this morning -- sweet!

haven't been weighing in cause things have been so hectic.... i'm still adjusting to illinois, and it has really been a bumpy ride, but i think i'm more or less settled in by now... (:

i weighed 108lbs last night (i lost a fair bit of weight adjusting to the new environment,) but i'm proud to say that i'm definitely gaining it back on now that i've familiarized myself with the surroundings, and figured out where to get food that i'd really enjoy! (: ) really really psyched now, cause tomorrow is saturday, and saturday is farmer's market shopping day where i can get oodles of locally produced fruits, vegetables and pastries! I'm aiming for steady weight gain now... but i think i'm now the poster girl for stress as the best (though not the most comfortable) way to lose weight =_=.

I'm being the poster girl for the flu as the fastest-but-least-fun way to lose weight.  I have felt soooo gross the past few days, living on flat gingerale and the odd cracker.  My face looks scary :(

Congrats on the new job Septi, it sounds like fun.  Amayou, you're doing superwell too!

Doedoe, my mouth would usually be watering at the thought of farmer's market vegetables, but today ... ew, food ...

Sorry to hear you've been sick Vege, hopefully by the time you read this yo'll be feeling better.

Good news, I completed my 10K without stopping. I haven't gotten my official time yet but I did good fo rmy first one, the same time I was running on the treadmill.

WITHOUT STOPPING?  Holy cow!  I don't even know if I could do 2K without stopping.  That's pretty amazing.  What makes it harder when you're not on the treadmill - just a different surface that you're running on, or more hills, more heat ...?

I am better, my appetite has returned with a vengeance.  I'm going to check my weight this morning, but I don't think I lost.  The jeans that were tight on me aren't AS tight as they were last Tuesday, but they don't fit well either.

How was everyone's long weekend?  Are the back-to-schoolers excited?  All the students in my neighbourhood looked so spiffy and dressed-up this morning, in their Absolute Coolest outfits, it was pretty nice to see :)

Hey everybody! Oh boy, was I bad on the staff trip to Cape Cod... *hangs head in shame* BUT -- I am getting back on track, doing swell today -- have an "A" for nutrition and am at 579 calories so far (it's 1:30 p.m.) Plus, I found a gym right near where I work that has BodyPump and BodyCombat (*does the snoopy dance*) so I have a free trial for a week, and then I am most likely going to sign myself up. I am super excited, and am probably going to go to Pump or maybe one of their non-lesmills classes this evening.

How's everyone else hanging in there?

Weigh In Day!

SW: 151.?

LW: 144.4

TW: 142.2 Yippee skipee!Laughing

Now how this happened I don't know. To be honest I haven't been counting calories this week, the only work outs I've gotten have been my 10K and a light work out on tuesday. Although I haven't totally fallen off the wagon as far as my eating goes, I wadn't eating the most healthy stuff but I was keeping my portions down.

You never know vege, the flu diet can be effective lol, glad to hear you are doing better Vege

Enjoy your new gym Septi, I can't wait to start going to the lil aerobics classes and body sculpting again I like the class atmosphere.

:3

veggeek: i know the appetite returning with a vengence feeling! after the week of deprivation in chicago (when i first arrived in the US and was stuck with crummy friends), i started eating like nobody's business (about 2400~3000cals a day). Which is pretty crazy since i maintain at 1800~2100cals. I'm supposed to be gaining weight tho (i'm still 108lbs! it's crazy!) , so i'm not too worried about it. yet. ^^||

septi--you always crack me up with the snoopy dance. Sounds like you (and amayou) are keeping really active! (: it's great cause i think regular exercise helps more in the maintenance stage (you're much less likely to regain your lost weight), which is good in the long run. so stick it out, and you guys will probably do great! after all, the slower the process of weight loss, the easier the transition to and sustenance of weight maintenance! (:

It's friday again! (: Apparently I've got more weight than I thought i needed to gain... It was TOTM, and about 3 of the 108lbs i weighed last week must have been water weight, cause I was 105lbs this morning (while wearing jeans!) despite eating an average of 2400 calories a day for the past week... (I started CCing again for weight gain. =_= Hope you guys are doing great this week!

Hi everyone, sorry so absent lately.  Sounds like you guys are doing well - nice work Amayou! Doedoe, good luck using the cal counters to gain - that's something I've never tried :)

Septi the Les Mills classes sound so great, I wish they had them near me.  I've been biking lately though and it is way more fun than  I expected.

I didn't even weigh in last week but I was around 145, which has been expected I hadn't worked out since the day after the race. So I hit the gym yesterday and punished my self, lifted some free weight doing curls and tricep work. Also did some butt exercise which has my quad aching this morning. Threw in some ab work (it seems like they are the first to go when I don't work out for a lil while) Not enough though, my abs aren't even the least bit sore :-(

Oh to get to the point where i'm actually trying to gain weight lol that day will never come I'm sure.

I'm really trying to buckle down and get these last 5 lbs off but really have no motivation right now I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm not countin my calories which I know is a bad start, not drinking my water, and it seems I've been almost sick for about a week (scratchy throat, but no other symptoms). just a bad week. I'm not gonna just dive over the deep end though I'm still gonna try and squeeze in my work outs and eat good.

Don't give up Amayou!

What motivates you?  For  me it's different things at different times.  Sometimes it's the idea of running into mean girls from high school (yes, 10 years later).  Sometimes it's the idea of my boyfriend finding me unattractive.  Sometimes it's the idea of not being able to reach down with out making an "oof" noise as I get back up.  Sometimes I just think of that awesome feeling you get when your muscles feel tight like you want them to, or when the skinny jeans don't cut off my circulation.  A lot of the time it's the pleasant clean, light feeling that I have when I have NOT overeaten.

I'm not gonna give up. I'm going to get back on track next week with my calorie counting and working out. Right now it's TOTM and I know i'm not starting this week.

145.8 Frown

Glad to hear you're not giving up!

I've been away the past 2 weeks but was pretty good with getting in some exercise (just walking but plenty of it).  I haven't weighed in yet though.
