Hey all, I'm looking for others with similar goals (not stats, anybody who's 10 or less from their goal) so we can keep each other company for the last leg of the weight-loss extravaganza. A small group would be great fun! (Let's keep it to just the first 10 or so who join - if I even get that many takers!)

Ooh, you're so good, vegetariangeek!  At least you try to make up for it. :) I didn't even make up for it, and my weight went down to 120 from Friday.  Seriously.  My weight on Friday was 122.  I ate 500 calories over what I burn yesterday.  And today my weight is 120?!? And I drank water like a camel this morning.  Yarg—I'm mad because I know it's going to just fluctuate back up again!

I'm jealous that you went down 2lbs okgo :/  I ate a lot of fruit today, but also did a lot of sitting on my  butt.  I'm going to go pack my lunch for tomorrow though so I don't get tempted by cookies at work or anything.

Heehee I'm envious of you again. xD I feel like I'm not even on a diet, I'm just eating less of my usual junky food.  Today I did pretty well, though, so I guess that's a nice change.  All day I've been debating whether or not I should have a snack right now.  Lol.

Hay everyone, sorry I didn't write at the weekend, we dont have internet at home yet, but hopefully I will have by Wednesday!!
The weekend was good, ate a bit too much on Sat night as we went out for a 3 course meal but I did go for two 3mile runs (one of which I fell over and now have nice scabs on my palms) and did loads of garden work. I am shattered now but otherwise I ate quite healthily.
Down to 156 this morning which is good as TOTM is in two days. Must not give into to evil sugar cravings!!!!

Also day 5 with no biscuits!! Yay - Really want to keep this up... keep going!!

I think I will aim to get to 155 by Friday weigh in. Ideally it would be 154 but I will have totm by then so will allow some room for that. That is my mini goal - Whats everyone elses?

Stephiepops, 5 days is amazing!  I bet if you  had any skin problems they're getting better too - I always see that as a result of cutting back on sugar. 

I'm thrilled that you guys have seen losses already.  I'm going to say my mini-goal is to be 124 on Wednesday morning.  I was 125.5 on Friday.

Whoa, Stephiepops, you might as well go on and set a world record!  Seriously!  Do it! That'll be sure to keep you motivated. Laughing

I'm going to say that my Friday mini-goal is going to be 119 lbs., since I am at 120 now.  That will give me plenty of time before June 23rd to burn off one more pound to reach my first major goal of 118!  Yay!

Wow thanks guys, I am really determined to do this now. Having you lot say those things is really encouraging me. I am doing ok so far today although did have a little bit of chocoate for lunch but have therefore not had my afternoon snack which I think is fair.

Nice one for setting mini goals guys. I think this is the best way to look at it... just one pound at a time.

Okie I am going to try and do without biscuits for a whole month! That is a huge challenge for me but with your help I'm sure I can do it! June 29th here I come!

Do you know what vegeek - I actually think my skin has got better. Its only two days till TOTM and I usually get a couple of little spots but (touch wood) I have none at the moment. This is great!! and more of an incentive not eat evil biscuits.

11 lbs is not too huge a goal, especially when it might only be 8 in reality.  What is your timeline?

Sorry I missed the first weigh-in on Friday. I didn't realize it until Sunday and by then I thought I might as well just wait until the next one.

I've been pretty active though. I've been helping my sister move and running quite a bit. Ran 4 miles on Saturday! That's the longest distance yet. :)

I'm moreso frustrated with myself more than anything. I originally joined CC back in december, when I was around 147 (started dieting earlier in aug SW 160). I lost the weight in a few months, got down to 140 and even further about 138, just in time for my BFF's wedding in Apr. And now in less than 2 months later I've gained about 10 lbs.

I know where I went wrong I stopped exercising as much and started eating whatever whenever I wanted. I'm just tired of the rollercoaster, all in all I've lost the same 15-20 lbs 3 times and this will be the fourth. I'm gonna keep it off this time. This is my week though, I'm determined. Even though TTOM I'm still gonna work out and eat right.

Yeah!! I went without any kinds of desserts for three months or so this year, and trust me, it gets easier and easier.  Although it's never a cinch, you'll eventually realize how unsatisfying they are, and opt for fruit instead!

Bethw1984, four miles, wow!  I never have enough perseverance to run four miles at home--three is my max.  Tongue out  You sound really active!

And finally, amayou82, you can do it!  I need to stop using TOTM as an excuse for all my splurges, lol!

Aha, forgive me for posting so excessively, but like I said, I've become utterly obsessed with CC.  And that's a good thing!

Anyways, what I want to say is that I've noticed that in a mere week my lifestyle has changed dramatically.  I now move around, stand up, and walk around whenever I can; I enjoy fruits and vegetables like they're a treat; I instinctively walk away from meats like dense beef or creams like ice cream; and finally, I've become so auto-moderate on my proportions that I hardly have to think about it anymore.  I truly love what CC has done for my life, and I hope these changes stay!

Okie you are totally forgiven. I can only access the internet at work at the moment but from tomorrow (hopefully) I will be able to get on at home as well so I will be on here all the time!
I'm doing well with the whole no biscuit thing - still haven't had any. I am so impressed with your no deserts for three months, I managed two weeks a while ago but have such a sweet tooth! I think I will stay off them during the week and just have a little bit as a treat at the weekend.

155.4 today which is good considering its TOTM today or tomorrow. I dont think I will weigh myself now untill Friday - lets see if I can show some self restraint! I know i may go up a little tomorrow but I will let myself off.

Didn't have time for a run yesterday as was so busy with work etc. but did eat healthily in the evening and kept myself very busy. Will make time for a run today - would like to get 3 miles in 28minutes in (well see how it goes)

Hey stephiepops, three mile runs are my favorite!  For my sports team I ran three miles in 21 minutes...I was like racing my heart out, you have no idea!  I was on a total runner's high.  I love it when that happens.

Hey I know! I'll do the no-biscuit-until-June-29 thing with you!  That will totally help me and you out!  Okay I had one yesterday (lol) but I'll start today! =) Yeah!!

And yeah don't worry too much about your weight because of TOTM...but lately my TOTM hasn't been for as long as it should be...it's been only like a day. =/ Is that bad?

Hmm, this no desserts challenge sounds like quite a plan.  I used to avoid ALL refined sugar and then slowly started again (granola bars - they sound so healthy, but they're packed with sugar!) 

Okie, I know what you mean with obsessively posting.  When I first started CC I did too, and now after having fallen off the wagon I'm back at it again.  It really does help! (Right Amayou?  I'm with you on that "same 10 lbs" ridiculousness.  The profile that I wrote way back when about wanting to get my weight down from 127/128 STILL hasn't changed much unfortunately).

Yesterday I measured my food and logged it rather than guestimating.  I ate about 1500 which was on target, but I had imagined it was more like 1200.  I'm going to do that again today.

Wow 3 miles in 21mins is awesome. My best time so far is 28minutes dead and I am completely dripping in sweat by the end of it (it is not a pretty sight!) I am aiming to get better though.

Right I am going to not eat biscuits until June 29th and also not eat desert during the week (if I can manage the weekend also thats great but I wont be too strict with myself at the moment otherwise I will just break it and then binge). I think that is a massive challenge for me (serious sugar addict) but I have lots of fruit and yogurt around which should substitue me plus I will allow myself a cup of low cal hot choc (only 40cals) if I need something. Fingers crossed, I will keep you posted!

Veg well done on the 1500 that is bang on! Keep up the good work. Was avoiding all refined sugar difficult? What does that mean you can and can't eat?

Okie - TOTM can vary tonnes so I wouldn't worry too much as long as you are still getting it. If I dont take birth control pills I am so unbelievably irregular. Has anything else changed? Hurray for the no biscuit/cookie times!! Keep it up, if we support each other we will have no problem.

(: fruits are a great substitute for anything sugary! I like to eat dried cranberries and mangos too, though those are a little high in calories ^^||| Yogurt ice cream is great too (those that don't add in extra sugar). feels like icecream without too much sugar within (:

I like to substitute cookies with granola bars too! (I'm on kashi's honey almond flax bars now). They're not all that low in calories (140cal a bar), but they're crunchy, and have more protein than they have fat, which for me is a major plus. (: It's the best alternative i can think of, unless you are the sort who can make do with celery without the heightened urge to binge on something utterly sinful later... (I'm incapable of total restriction without a subsequent binge session, so good substitutes are really important for me!)

 

Man Last night was so hard. I ate my final meal for the night around 8 or so and I really wanted some cake, like seriously in my mind I went to the store and bought one of those single slices of chococlate cake. I was whining like a lil baby but I resisted, and ate some of my sisters ritz crackers. and a coke zero. I don't know what it is but I prefer to sleep on the "full feeling" (hence the soda, to bloat me a lil, lol)

I'm still gonna continue my goal of losing a few kg, but I think I might have to give this week a miss lol, as I am get tingmy dissertation results tommorrow (so celebrating), it's 2 of my friends birthday tomorrow, Thursday is bbq day for everyone leaving uni, Friday is final night out for most uni people and monday is my birthday bash. I will still weigh in on friday and next but I'm not expecting any loss probably weight gain more like oops. plus I ate a whole packet of McVities Yog digestives :x

I know those are prob pretty lame excuse and I could lay off the alcohol, but seeing I finish uni FOREVER, my weight is not important kekeke for the week that is.
