10 or less to lose - CLOSED GROUP!
Hey all, I'm looking for others with similar goals (not stats, anybody who's 10 or less from their goal) so we can keep each other company for the last leg of the weight-loss extravaganza. A small group would be great fun! (Let's keep it to just the first 10 or so who join - if I even get that many takers!)

Darn it. It's still a loss so I won't out too much, especially since I did have a lil binge on tuesday. Treating myself to an omelet today not entirely healthy but not too bad either, 1 egg 2 egg whites, cheese, mushrooms, onion and ham (oops) lol.
No change for me on the scale :/
Looking in the mirror, my face looks a little less pudgy than last week, I think my bum looks a bit better, belly is still the same.
Wow - just reading that makes me think DEAR GOD, am I ever self-critical. Sometimes I can't even believe I notice my body that much.

Not too much of a change, but I am pretty sure I am gaining muscle... hang in there everybody...
I currently weigh 125 lbs and want to loose 10 lbs and reach my target weight of 115 lbs .... would be great if i can join and get motivated ..

Yesterday was pretty bad, I went way over my calorie limit and felt pretty sick after. Today has been a little better. How has your weekend been?
Well like I don't really count my calories on the weekends, but I'm pretty sure I did horrible instead being aware of what I'm eating.Saturday,Mcdonald hotcakes for breakfast and pizza for dinner Sunday-I had a huge bowl of capn crunch for breakfast, lunch-some chili chees fries from coney island(had to I was in Detroit) a tall white choclate mocha & cheese danish, dinner- cheese pizza, and a slice of red velvet cake. My real mess up came when I finished that slice of cake this morning lol. I think I'm gonna work out like a maniac to try to counter act my crazy weekend. Plus I'm starting kick-boxing so I'll definitely report on that, I think the first class is tomorrow. I'm really gonna stay on top of it this week, keepin my carbs at around 40-50% and eating/drinking my protein. I'll probably weigh myself in the morning just to see how much damage I did lol and to motivate myself

Protein Shakes
My fav is Muscle milk light, they taste decent and they are only 195 calories 25 g of protein. I have hard time gettin my protein in so I drink the shakes and I also found a good little snack at GNC, they are by Ostrim, it's like beef jerky but it's Ostrich meat, 14 grams of protein, only 2 carbs and only 1.5 grams of fat. They are a little salty but that helps me drink my water when I'm not thirsty.
WOW. I never thought of drinking my protein before. I usually only ever drink water or coffee, no juice or pop or anything. I just went and got a smoothie from across the street (fruit and fat-free yogurt) with whey powder added. Basically tastes like a milkshake! It's not low-cal but it's not bad and that's a fair bit of protein! Thank you for the idea amayou!!
heh, weekends are so difficult. >"< i celebrated 3 birthdays last weekend (so much cake!) but it was good cake. hehe.
the good news is... i realized over the weekend that i'm developing ABS!! omg. they aren't obvious or anything, but faint muscle lines are visible when i flex! I was so amazed I spent a good ten minutes of my shower time checking to see if i was hallucinating. ^^||||

yay for abs doedoe! i feel you all on the weekends....however i actually did much better this weekend. unfortunately today i slipped a bit and had only ice cream for dinner (oops!!!) tomorrow i'll have more self restraint, hopefully :8-/
Hay, so sorry I have been awol for a while. Business trips last week merged into a busy weekend. I am really struggling at the moment but I am going to turn over a new leaf today!
Last weekend I had a few comments that I had lost weight from people but I haven't I am acutally back up to where I started. But I do feel more toned. I think I may have put on muscle?? Depressed by the weigh gain though and determined to rectify the situation!!

Doedoe - your abs are amazing - do you do any specific exercises for them?
I used to think protein shakes were for huge body builder types, but after joining CC and hearing about how much protein I Should be having and comparing it to what I was actually having I knew I had to get some more protein in me, lol

Ice cream my second weakness, my fav is Birthday cake ice cream from Bruesters (cake being my first weakness). You'll do better jeboltz just stay focused the week has only just begun plenty of time to squeeze in an extra workout.

Confession time :-( I had a severe moment of weakness yesterday and had 2 bowls of frosted mini wheats last night instead of my dinner. I was ready to throw in the towel this morning but coming on CC always offers me some encouragement. I am however gonna stop counting my calories this week just because I think I'm getting a little too anal about it lol. I find myself not even enjoying my food and that's starting to bring me down. I'm gonna consciously be aware of what I'm eating though and try to keep my protein intake up. I can't wait to get to 145, so I can focus more on toning.
Ladies, good for you! Doedoe those abs are really amazing, I'm so so so jealous since my middle is a series of rolls at the moment. Stephie glad to hear you're back - you've probably lost inches even if the scale reads heavier - muscle weighs more than fat but is smaller.
Jeboltz, I did the ice cream thing on Saturday. It happens. It won't make you instantaneously grow another four inches, even though it might feel like it for aday or two. It's that time of month for me, I feel soooo heavy - probably due to the Ben and Jerry's on the weekend!
Amayou, I'm glad you didn't let your little blip get you off track either. Maybe not logging this week will be good for you - the point is not to make yourself miserable on a restrictive calorie plan.
I'm off to pack my lunch. I've been feeling ultra-hungry for potato chips this morning ... stupid cravings!
I just realized this is the week before TOTM maybe thats why I'm feeling all wishy washy. Taking that into consideration I'm not gonna feel bad if I don't lose any weight this week.
The little things
Well on my trip to and from Detroit this past weekend i thought about something I noticed when I lost/lose weight. This is probably stupid and very minute, but I like when I get on the plane and have to tighten the seat belt, instead of having to losin it more.
So what are some of the little things you all have noticed during your weight loss?
Hay guys thanks for the encouragement! I am totally back on track now (although I got on the scales and I am 159! What! 4 weeks ago I was 152.4 this is crazy!) I know muscle weighs heavier than fat but still its a bit depressing really. Nevermind. I had a good day yesterday total of 1520 cals and no binges!!! Feel good about things today going to try for 157 this week so I can get back to where I was.
Something I noticed since losing weight is that I dont get up in the morning, look at a piece of clothing and thing... I can't wear that today, my tummy is sticking out. I just grap whatever is around. - Bit of a weird one really but true!
Ama dont worry about the weakness moment. It happens and is probably a good idea to spike your cals every now and again.

Yesterday's workout!
I've recently started back working out consistently, Monday I did 30min on the elliptical but no weitht training. Yesterday I decided to do a quick cardio before the class started. I did a 300 cal burn on the elliptical and then went to Kickboxing class. MAN that guy kicked my butt, first we did some jump roping switching feet, then ran in a circle for a while and stretched. Next out came the gloves, he showed us a couple of combos 1, 2's and roundhouses. After that we had to switch from doing sit ups, to 1, 2 combos, to running up and down stairs. Just when I thought it was over it was itme to work on ABS, that part was really hard but I didn't mind it, I'm trying to get my sexy abs back.
If they offer this class anywhere around I'd defintely suggest trying it out atleast once. I might try a different class today.
