I have a goal of losing about 23 pounds by Jan-Feb '08. I'm pretty new to this site and am just looking for some support/motivation. Anyone interested in starting a group with similar goals? thanks...

as of today...still the same....it is my TOM though...so I hope I can blame it on that....or all the food and alcohol packed parties I went to this weekend :(  

I need to work out big time this week.  I was so happy to break the 160 mark but now I am stuck at 159

So up until this morning I had no idea how important tenths and hundreths of a pound would prove to be on the scale!

So, less than a pound in the first week.  Should be kind of discouraging since I read about people losing 5-7 pounds in THEIR first week but, I'm really happy with how hard I've been working out.  
Speaking of...my shoulders and tris are REALLY sore from yesterdays workout...I LOVE IT!!!
Hello I?d like to post on this thread to keep me honest! I have been posting on CC for a bout a year or so now I haven?t been that vigilant? I started at 155 and now at between 147 ? 149.

Would love to make it to 128 - 30 before next summer but my mini goal is 138.

I?m 26 and 5?5. My biggest enemies are my afternoon chocolate fix and the demon drink ? I live in London and it?s a boozy city!

I usually work out 3+ times per week, but I really want to up that to 5x regularly. Did BodyPump + 40 minutes cardio on Monday, and tonight will do Body Attack. I?m off to Paris for 6 days tomorrow as well so I can?t much being achieved in the way of weight loss in the next week!

I'm a little annoyed, but I'm just gonna keep pushing and hope that this is just a fluctuation.  Or, maybe last week was a fluctuation down. My goal for next week is to be under 156.

hey kikig, be patient. it took me 4 weeks to see the scale budge the first time. it may take a while for you, but everyone is different. so keep at it girlie!

gaolinsight, your .8 weight might be extra water weight. are you drinking enough water? if not your body will hold onto every ounce of water left in your body.  the best way to get it cycled out is to drink more!

I weigh first thing in the morning, after the am pee and poo. LOL stay away from the scales in the afternoon and nighttime. the daily food you put into your body can affect the scale.

 I'm checking in for this week (not that I have a particular day I weigh or anything).  I'm number 7 in the master list.  Today I weighed 150.7, down a smidge from the 151.2.  I had a weird spike for a few days, so I'm hoping that whatever caused that is over and I'll move back down some more in the next few days.  Plus it was an evening weigh-in, so I'm really a bit lighter, right?  (That's the good thing about weighing yourself at night--if you're not happy with it, you can write it off to daily fluctuations and food weight and such!)

Well I have postponed my weigh in for a couple of days since I had a crazy spike of 5 pounds in one day, so I wasn't able to tell I had actually lost anything since all the water weight and TTOTM.  The spike seems to have gone down.  I don't have a digital scale and pretty much have to guess what line the needle sits on so I am just going to say I didn't lose any weight and still sit at 165.  It was a tough call.  It was almost like the needle couldn't decide.  I am ok that I didn't lose weight this week.  I feel good and worked at lifting weights pretty hard at the gym this week.  So hard in fact that it hurt to sit, stand or lay down.  I am finally able to bend my legs again, sit down and roll over in bed with out wincing in pain.  LOL.  Someday my butt will defy gravity, oh yes.....it will.  I have been sitting at 165 for a while.  It will be nice to finally get below that.  Here's to next week.

I am down to 161.5.Cool  I've been dutifully counting my calories.  1500-1700 a day and had a few days with a little less.
I'm down to 148.2.  So ya! lost 1.8 lbs this week.  23 left!

Hey! Just wanted to pop in and say congrats to everyone!! This weekend will be pretty tough for me I had a social function with "all you can eat" buffet. I did okay though, only 1700 cals for the whole day. And today I have yet another one, this time it's sushi though which is really healthy. I just need to be strong I guess!
