.... I read your profile, and I'm so confused....

Happy New Years?

Judging by your photo, your surroundings and the region you live in, you may be a rather conservative person and may balk at this, but have you tried cannabis?  It has been known to work wonders for migraine and several other disorders.

When I lived in San Francisco, i was amazed that they had legal medical cannabis shops all over town.  Unfortunately, it's not so easy to get in Indiana, but if you are ever in SF you can see a doctor, get a prescription, then stock up.

I mean this in all seriousness.  I am not a pot user and haven't had any since college, the benefits are proven.

Well, Duke's forum motto is a line from a Greatful Dead song.Wink

Migraines and Seizures - anecdotal but worth a skim through at least.

(((hugs)))

Hey duke - sorry I didn't see this till today. How are you doing this morning? I can't talk on the phone but would be happy to have an email exchange - pm me.

((hugs))

i just read your profile. i am sorry to hear that your wife is sick. i hope the doctors find something that helps. i also want to congratulate you on your weight loss, that is an amazing feat. best of luck to you in 2009

I just went in and read your profile and I have a small suggestion regarding your wife's migraines.

I suffered terribly from migraines for about 10 years.  They arrived suddenly when I was in my early 20's and I thought my head was just reacting to all the stress my life was giving me then.  Then, a miracle.  My chiropractor requested that I get a full MRI showing head, neck, spine, hips and knees.  The doctor was searching for clues as to how to fix my back but the MRI showed that my spine was going out of allignment in my neck - my spine was "straightening" when it should have been in a curved configuration.  The straightened spine created massive migraines because nerves were being pinched.  After only 3 visits to the chiropractor, the migraines were cured and I've not suffered one since (well over 20 years now).

There may be no miracle cure for your wife but you can't stop searching for an answer.  Our bodies do things only for a reason - there has to be a reason.

I wish you well and hope that you find the answer.

Hi Duke, I'm not on here much but saw your post.   Were all kind of guessing something wrong with Lori. I hope  everything is okay.  I'm in Tn. and I think the weather had caused migrines the past week I've been popping imitex like candy for 3 days. I can image how she feels having them all the time. Relaxing technics help with mine and massage helps alot. I also go to chiropractor atleast once a month.  I was having migraines with nerological side effects they thought I was having strokes.  Even when my eyeglass perscription changes I'll start again with the  headaches bad.   Hope everything goes okay and your doing okay.
