she was beautiful!  our dogs bday was may30th, he would have been 10.  we had to put him to rest in Feb.
She was beautiful!  So sorry for you loss.  As an animal lover, I understand your pain.  Thank goodness for all the wonderful memories you have.

Susie
Gourgous.  Thanks for sharing.  I am sorry for your loss.
Slappy, we need to make a wish or pinky swear?  What was it we did as kids when two people said the same thing at the same time?
she was gorgeous!  such nice pictures and i'm sorry for your loss too.. i love dogs and i wish their lives could be even longer!
She was beautiful. I'm sure she brought a lot of light to your life :)
How you must miss your friend!  Remembering her in this beautiful way will keep her alive in your heart.

Claire
yes, she was beautiful. I trained her to walk calmly next to me, while on crutches. But the best 45 minutes of each day, where our *rides* around the subdevision. Let's say, she was running, pulling me in the wheelchair. lol

One time I was stop (for fun) by the cop that patrol's this place, with a warning to stay within the speed limit. God I miss her.
Years ago I lost a pet that I grew up with for 12 years.  Such a void.  Although I vowed to never get that close again, here I am with my puppy Lucy.  It's morbid to think about "when they pass" but even now when I do, I feel myself getting so panicky.  But....the love we get from them during their lives far outweighs the hurt from the loss if we think of it that way.  :o)
Gabi,

My sympathies as you remember your loved friend.  It has been nearly 6 years since we had to put my Westie down after a life long dibilitating illness and we still tear up when we talk about him. It sounds like she was a wonderful companion for you.

Laura
Gabi...I grew up with a Siberian Husky...similar dogs.  She lived to be 18 years old.

On June 19, it will be four years since I lost my baby...a black and white cat who was my baby doll.  He died of cancer...even tried cancer treatments (chemo, etc.)  he was just too riddled with cancer.  He didn't suffer long.

Animals are so awesome and an important part of my healthy lifestyle.  My sympathies to you.
izzi, she is beautiful, and those are wonderful stories!   i hope you can find another like her.  that's the only thing i could do when my last dog died.  i had to get another one, even though my hubby didn't really want one.  but he loves charlie now, too.  he went with me to pick him out.  i will never, never, never be without a dog.
Thanks, I was looking around for another one for a while, but with Nakita it was love and connection at first sight. And like me she was the runt.

And neeners, she was a pure bred Siberian Husky, with eyes as blue as the sky. I can't move my boxes, where the other pic are, but I may add a couple more on.

luv izzi

united, i read that poem on the rainbowbridge website when oscar died and i was looking for a memorial for him.  it still makes a lump in my throat to read it.  there's a lovely children's book called "dog heaven" that will bring tears to your eyes, too.  but is comforting in a way.
All dogs go to heaven because, unlike people, dogs are naturally good and loyal and kind.

-The Whippet Angel, All Dogs Go To Heaven

so true, I wish a lot more people would have the goodness, loyalty and uncondional love as dog do.

It's now wonder so many people like dogs, or any animal for the matter, then some humans.

And united, yes I read that poem the other day.

Thanks guy's for looking at my doggie
