Is there a limit for water?
Do you know if there is a limit of water you should drink, or you really can drink 10 lt a day, even though, it is not good for the planet.
Anyway..... sometimes, I found myself drinking almost three liters of water by 2 pm, and I think I drink it too fast. Is this bad? I heard water can make your stomach bigger if you drink too much and/or too fast.
Not good for the planet? ![]()

Drinking it is about the best use water can be put to!
It can definitely make you FEEL bloated if you chug a ton of water at once, but if you are drinking because you are thirsty then you can hardly ever drink too much.
what does ocd stand for?
I don't drink it because I'm thirsty, I drink it because I have to drink a lot of water to lose weight and not to eat other stuffs. But like a I have it next to my computer I drink it constantly and sometimes I think I drink too fast, and of course I go to the bathroom 50,000 times a day.
i did however read that the 2 litre daily water requirement was actually total water intake including all fluids including fruit etc not 2l of pure water. you may need to drink a little water but a normal person doing normal activity should get most of this from their daily diet. I would say though that this research was about 20 years old and im sure with all the artifical crap we are putting into our bodies a bit of pure clean water would be very helpful, i love water.
So in conculsion drink as much or as little as you want, it wont make much difference.
And if you are worried about the enviroment, stop using the bottled stuff, the plastic takes decades to decay, the trucks used to transport pollute the planet, and the manufacturing process uses many chemicals
There is such a thing as water intoxication and yes you can die from it. HOWEVER, this is very very rare, and unless you're made to drink gallons and gallons of water as a part of a hazing ritual there's really no way you can get it.
Drinking 3 liters a day should be fine, you might have to adjust it if you work out more and sweat a lot.
Anyways about getting more water, I personally don't see the problem at all, the funny part is most people don't get enough to begin with. I personally seek to get as much as possible for a healthy life and also because I have asthma.

I personally don't get the connection why this is bad for the planet?
I've never heard that water consumption is bad for the planet. There are, however, a lot of environmentalists amped up about the use of bottled water. The plastic bottles consume a lot of oil resources, plus the additional oil required to ship it all over the country. Personally, I bottle my own water right out of the tap. The tap water in most places in the U.S. is of very high quality. (That is not to say that it's better than the water in other industrialized countries. I just don't know about water standards in other countries.)

OCD stands for obsessive compulsive disorder. angel_eyes completely used the term incorrectly and also offended me in the process, because i have ocd. if you're going to use the term, fine. make sure you use it correctly, because otherwise it comes off as sounding like you're calling people with OCD crazy -- which is how you used it. it's alot like when people use the term "retarded" when they mean "stupid". it's really offensive and you should really think about the terms you use to describe things. even if you dont mean it in a bad way or if you didnt mean to be offensive, thats how it feels to the people who you end up offending. sorry i know this has nothing to do with the original post.
*rolls eyes*
Why are people so paranoid!?!?!
I also have OCD, and i wasn't offended at all by what angel_eyes said.
Some people need to chillax!!

I think it was a joke.. like drying up the lakes from drinking so much.
you can find more info on google, I think 3L a day is enough and wouldn't drink more personally (makes your kidneys work harder).
