Hi, I'm another one not from the Des Moines area.  I'm from the Waterloo area.  I'm a TOPS member.  I have been a KOPS for 2 years.  I'm finding it is very much a struggle keeping my KOPS status.  Calorie Count is very helpful in keeping track of my weight gains and losses.  For exercise my husband and I walk at least 2 miles or more most days.  I go to water aerobics which I enjoy very much.  We're retired but try to keep active.  We have a lot of lawn to mow and have a small garden plus a couple of flower beds.  In the winer we go to Arizona to get away from the cold weather.  I'm interested if there's others who's age is on the other side of 60 having trouble losing weight or trying to keep at their present weight.

Hmmm I'm thinking of joining TOPS.  I use to do Weight Watchers but found it was too expensive to stay with it.  Do you like TOPS?

The TOPS group that I belong to is very supportive and fun.  They never make a person feel like they're a failure because of a gain.  Some groups, I know, are more or less a social gathering which is not all bad but I need the support.  We have very informative programs plus fun contest.  I guess it all depends on what you're looking for.  I too went to Weight Watchers many many years ago and lost weight but of course I gain that back plus many more pounds.  That was when all you could eat was fish and liver!  Let me know if you do join a TOPS group.
