Um. Obviously?

I, too, shall be obvious...

I think the point of all of the sacrasm is anyone who is freaking out about calories ingest in lipgloss/lipstick/envelope licking/greasy lotion in one's skin/bubbles of shampoo getting in one's mouth is TOO freaked out about counting calories and probably is well on their way to an eating disorder, or might already have one. Freaking out about calories in non food items you put in your mouth (fingernails, ends of pens, lipgloss, etc) is disordered thinking and living.

This was quite a funny thread. Here are my two cents:

 1. I don't think we should encourage people with eating disorders by actually telling them how many calories are in lip gloss. GO TO THE DOCTOR! GET HELP! And if you are in recovery, I don't think you should be asking that kind of thing anyway. Its like someone in AA asking "How drunk do you think licking an empty shot glass would get you?" I thought that this site would be a bunch of fatties like myself. It brings to mind two girls at work who were both thin. They took an hour to decide they would split a Milky Way, then another half hour to decide who had to take the bigger half. If the OP just thought it was a funny thing to ask, then she was right, cause once I read it I was like "Dude, I wonder..."

2. I love my cat. She is thin. I fill the bowl and let her eat as much as she wants, but unlike me, that feline b*tch has willpower. If she starts getting fat, I will make her do Step Aerobics with me.

3. You know those dog treat buffets they have at some pet stores? And how they look like human cookies? especially the ones that look kind of like oreos, except one side is vanilla and the other side is chocolate? My husband tried one that we had for my sister's dog, and he said it tasted just like a human cookie. I tried a nibble....and it did! HAHA

You have all kept me very entertained on a very very boring day at work. Thanks!

o_o  I honestly think you may have taken calorie counting to an unhealthy extreme. This question in itself may be a ' sign ' that your counting is going ' overboard. ' It's about as ridiculous as someone cutting there hair in hopes of weighing less on the scale. Or discontinuing the use of hair products so they don't absorb into their hair making them fatter...I hope you take some time to evaluate this in a very serious manner.
stefaniepaglinco- I like you.  You're funny.....

Love it!

minie13 - you are super funny too

I wasn't kidding. I really do love my cat.  http://www.catster.com/cats/351916

I like your gallery alot too. You mess with the bull, you get the horns!!!

OK, I'm posting a temporary picture of my cat in my profile right now.  She looks kind of like your cat and is the same age.

Aww she is cute.

Temptations cat treats are only 2 cal per treat, just incase anyone is interested. They come in a variety of flavors, and are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My cat LOVES them!

As you can tell from the pictures (which are now gone because I get freaked out by psychos and don't like posting anything on the internet that could allow someone to figure out who I am in real life) my cat thinks she is a model and is constantly posing.

Good to know about the 2 cal treats.  I think I'll switch to them so that she doesn't gain any weight....you know because I'll only love her if she stays thin.

There probably are 1 or 2, but see as what we consume are kcals (kilo calories) and therefore actually in the 1,600,000 range not the 1600 that we all think that we aim for – I wouldn’t worry.

Don’t tell the cat how many calories are in the food, you’ll give him a complex. :o) I hide all information like that from my guinea pigs, Treacle thinks he’s putting on weight but I think he looks fine and he won’t stop eating anyway. How many calories are in hay BTW?

dont take pet eating disorders lightly most morning my cat weighs himself and in doing so I have to feed him immediately as I see he's only 11lbs!!!! and used to be 12 and I'm worried that he'll get thinner, because cats are cuter when squishy

Yeah, I'm into BBCs also.  All those underweight NY model cats, like in Cat Fancy are just promoting an unhealthy and dangerous lifestyle.  Man, give 'em a sandwich already.

Jersey (my cat) was a stray when we took her in, so she ate EVERYTHING. She was alot bigger. Then one day (it happened to be the day Nine Lives canned food was on sale and I bought about 100 cans) she decided she only liked dry food. She is a picky b*tch. She won't eat salmon, rarely eats tuna, doesn't like soft treats, only crunchy ones.

My sister's dog is even weirder. She is a Maltese. She won't eat bacon, but she will eat lettuce. Now THERE is a pet with an eating disorder!

shockwave - i just clicked that link. God, I love LOLcats!

EVERYONE GO TO THIS SITE - Icanhascheezburger.com - you will probably burn off 500 calories just laughing your a$$ off! ( That is about 100,000 tubes of lip gloss )

yeah my cat is a picky bitch too - she won't touch anything fish flavored & for dry food only will eat Friskies.  She would starve to death before she'd eat another kind.  There are 2 kinds of cats - the ones with attitudes (apparently we both have that type) and the affectionate ones.  My cat has a major attitude problem.  She won't allow us to pet her or even touch her if we go away for even one night.  We have violated her rules and she lets us know it by prancing just our of arm's reach.
Jersey is really funny with my husband. He let her play bite him all the time when we first took her in, so now, two years later, she bites him a helluva lot more than she tries to bite me. She will even be in the middle of attacking him and I can come over, pet her, and then walk away, and she will resume attacking him
Our cats my be soul mates.  My cat bites my husband playfully all the time too and nevre bites me.  Occassionally she'll do it by accident thinking its him and then when she realizes its me she stops immediately.  Cats are weird.

And this thread has now lost it's purpose...let me get it back on track...

If I lick food off my finger about 30 minutes after I've washed my hands will the soap residue that I may possibly be ingesting have calories?  If so, how many should I log?  Maybe I should be safe and log it as 125?  Thoughts?

250 atleast.

And if its like, a moisturizing soap that has milk, honey, yogurt, or oatmeal in it, that should be like 375

crap - it was "warm vanilla sugar" and I definitely could taste it. MY DIET IS OVER!!!! **runs away crying**
check out the other pic of my cat in my gallery lol
LOL that greedy bitch!
helpless: So from dealing with binge eating disorder myself I can say that your question is valid. Even if the lip gloss does not have calories, the sweetness/flavor on your lips can trigger cravings. I would suggest not using it at all and moisten your lips with either vaseline (petroleum jelly) or mineral oil, both of with are flavorless and undigestible (and therefore have no calories). I think everyone else in this forum needs to lighten up a little. It was a simple question. Hope this helps!
the thread that WILL NEVER die!!!!!!
