Lipton Green Tea To Go?

Quote  |  Reply

So I have been trying to find some nice cold green tea to help boost my metabolism up a bit. The last time I bought green tea was preperpared and I bought it only to relize it had 17 grams of sugar in it.(YIKES!) I realized that only after I drank 1/4 of it......Oh well the damage has been done no going back. :] I ended up throwing the rest away. Anyways back onto topic. I was in walmart today looking at green tea's. I bought the tea packets and the lipton green tea to go ones also. You simply place it in the water bottle shake and your ready to go like crystal light. Now I never have a problem with water because I absolutly love it. I grew up drinking it and not soda thank god. :D So I was wondering if this lipton green tea to go packet would boost up my metabolism or is it just another crap product? Thanks in advance :D

I don't know if it actually boosts your metabolism or not, but I've been drinking these for the past few months and LOVE them. I use them instead of coffee/espresso, I throw one in a bottle of water when I wake up in the morning and then take it to class with me, so I still get the caffeine but it's a lot healthier because it doesn't have calories, sugar, carbs, etc. I bought 5 different flavors so I don't get tired of just one flavor all the time, they're great and cheaper this way too! Also look for the Arizona green tea packets!

According to everywhere I read it is spose to aha. Also I think that Arizona Green Tea was the one that had the 17 grams of sugar.....Just take a look!

I don't know about the packets though :o

I buy the Arizona packets, not the already bottled green tea, although Arizona does make diet bottled green tea that has no sugar in it. The nutrition label on the box states that there's zero calories/sugar in the packets. I definitely check everything before I buy it now, especially when it comes to beverages.

Ahh alright just making sure :D Anyways thanks fo the reply.

After living in Japan and coming back to US i found it funny we Americans were drinking iced green tea.  The Japanese never drink it cold.

If it has to be sweetened up to enjoy, probably best to only drink it warm.

I bought some Lipton Green Tea thinking it was healthy then noticed how much sugar was in it.  I think it is just one of those tricky marketing ploys that target people trying to live healthy.

The Japanese do make brown ice tea. It is never sweetened. Quite enjoyable. You'll need to go to an Asian market to get it. Its called Mugi Cha.

I personally have tried, and really liked, the Sobi Lean Green Tea.  It's ready made and in a glass bottle.  0 calories, little sugar, and it does wonders for my metabolism and energy level.  But you want to make sure you get the "Lean".  The regular green tea has I think 100 calories in it and the sugar level is much higher.
