Ick. Just thought I'd share that.

YES! It's like watery and tasteless....
yeah, agreed. i had it once and i thought it was sooo nasty - and i'm the type who is NOT picky at all when it comes to the taste of food.
i find it more enjoyable to just drown my salad in balsalmic vinegar, lol.

I'd never had so gross a ranch dressing until today, when I felt
adventurous and broke out ye olde generic tastes-like-fungus Lite
Ranch. Yeesh. What a waste of a salad. I only took
three bites.

It is pretty gross for the most part. I found an one lately that is not too bad. I don't remember the brand of it. When I am at home I will post about it.
Have you tried the wishbone spray dressings? I love the balsamic breeze. It is pretty good and only 1 calorie a spray.

one calorie? is that possible? *sees a shining light at the
end of the tunnel*. Why, I do believe I'll go grocery shopping
tonight :)

Hidden Valley Light Ranch isn't bad, is it? I like it. Guess I'm weird... :(
I use the HV Light Ranch too.
I put half a serving of the ranch on my salad and then add red wine vinegar or salsa. I also found Pear-Infused White Balsamic Vinegar at Whole foods - so good.

If anyone has a Weis grocery store around them, their brand light ranch is really good. I love it! You guys should try it, but I'm sure you'll be a bit hesitant! :)
Hey...where are you from that you have a Weis?
1 whole calorie a spray... usually I use 20 - 25 sprays depending on the size of the salad. There are other flavors to for the Wishbone Sprays..
I must be a weirdo, I love fat free ranch but use balsamic vinegar mostly. I also prefer fat free sour cream, fat free ice cream, fat free cottage cheese, fat free milk, fat free cheese, I never use full fat anything anymore, it's just too rich!
I'm with you charlie :) Fat free and I are good friends, otherwise my tummy feels icky!!
Who has tried these salad spritzers? Are they good? because
it seams like it wouldent add too much flavor because it is only
slightly moisting the salad

I've tried all the bottled dressings and I'm down to the most simple. Kraft fat free Italian and my own home made oil and vinegar, and that's it. All the bottled dressings have an aftertaste or some strange background aroma. I doctor the Italian with a squeeze of lemon juice to brighten it up and sometimes mix it into light mayo.
I boycotted light ranch a long time ago...ew
I used to only eat ranch so once I started trying to eat healthier I've forced myself to do light italian and such, but ANYTHING is better than light ranch
...ps. Josh I like how the mention of Weis got you that excited

I just think ranch is gross...but I was practically raised on fat free western. YUMMY!
I've gotten used to the "light" stuff.. It's not good but tolerable..
Hey finewine58: I am from Maryland....they have a few Weis stores around this way.
A friend of mine uses full fat ranch dressing but adds some water to it. It really is pretty good! I hate light ranch.
Light Done Right from Kraft is pretty good. (Not as lo-cal, so perhaps that's why.) I like honey mustard dressing, which can be relatively healthy or it can be evil, depending on who makes it. But at least honey mustard, by definition, can be fat free. So there's a certain advantage in making a low-fat/lower cal version of that. With something like ranch, you have to subsitute for the inherently higher fat ingredients in it, like buttermilk, and that's tricky.
