Little help please.......

Need a little help in figuring how many calories I actually should be eating. I weigh 227, I sit at a desk all day but I work out 5 days a week, I do cardio 5 days which I burn anywhere from 450-550 each workout  that is for a 45-55 min.but then also on Tue and Friday I work with a personal trainer for 30 min on strength training and burn around 250-275. Ive been eating around 1575-1600 is this correct. I log my activity and I have my activity level set to moderate. Any suggestions if Im doing this right. Ive been working out since July 22 on a regular basis but havent been losing, but found out I have a little bit of a thyroid problem, been on meds now going on 3 weeks now, just want to make sure Im doing this all right now. Ive lost the previous two weeks but gained just 4 ounces this week. Hope all this makes sense. Thanks for any advice.

Check with the calorie burner tool on here. It's pretty good.

I would have to know your age and height to guess for you. The thyroid medications should help you.

It sounds like you are on exactly the right track! Good for you for working for your health- and REALLY working! Wow, what great exercise!!

Keep going!

A 'moderate' activity level covers off about an hour a day average.  So if you've logged yourself as moderate, don't add the exercise on top.  Aim for a 700 cal difference between your 'total burn' and what you eat, eat regularly (don't skip meals) and choose good quality wholefoods.  Make sure you keep your food log accurately, weighing and measuring portions rather than guessing.  You should be fine

I would change my activity level to light if I were you, then add the exercise in the activity log.  Your calorie range still seems pretty accurate though, depending on your age.  Because I have about the same routine and same calorie range (well 1500).  Good luck.

Based on your exercise levels, your current weight and height I would question if you are eating enough calories, did you input the information and ask cc for a recommended daily intake?   I would expect that with that level of activity that you should be eating at least 1900 calories per day.

I think it's actually pretty accurate though. Only because of the office job.  Sitting at a desk all day and then sleeping at night adds up to about 16 hours of just sitting around/sleeping...  So all that exercise just kindof balances it out. (Just my opinion though, based on my life and similar routine.)
