A Little Picky, but I just need to eat better

Quote  |  Reply

I'm getting better at exercising, but my problem is eating.  I eat when I'm bored for one, and I like good food.  I eat little things throughout the day, but the stuff isn't good for me.  I don't have much control over what I get for dinner because my mom makes it usually, but if I do make things, I need them to be things I can find around the house easily.  Problem is, I look at all these recipes on here and I see ingredients I just can't stand: tomatoes, onions, peppers.  I just can't stand chunky things like that, they make me gag, but it seems like they're essential in healthy food.  Anyone have any alternatives?

You can train yourself to like "chunky" foods OR you can puree them into sauces for whole grain pastas or for relishes to go over chicken...things like that.

Most things are ok for you if they are eaten in moderation. If your Mom makes something really high in calories like mac n cheese then make sure to only have one serving and make sure you understand the portion of that particular serving.
