Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to cc, and I am so happy to be a part of this healthier lifestyle. I wanted to share that my jeans are looser and today I FIT INTO A SHIRT that I haven't been able to wear for 2 years! It's frustrating through because my success with clothes is very small on the scale, I've only lost about 4 lbs on the site(about 14 lbs in last few months, though). I am motivated to continue. I wanted to see if anyone can relate to issue and tell me what else I can look forward to, like a dramatic drop on the scale or continued steady weight loss. Thanks for your ideas and thoughts! Lisa
Hi Lisa... You have no idea how exciting it is next. You are going to keep losing weight. Stick to what is working for you. And trust me, these small successes add up. When I started, I used to feel the same way. Hey, but it has taken me 10 years to put on all this weight... Its gonna take me atleast some time to shed it off.. :). Thank God its not gonna take me the same 10.. :)... right?
The weight loss will probably be steady if you keep doing what u r doing. And, it definitely feels great to go and buy smaller size clothes. I lost about 25 pounds, and 6 inches off my waist and went and bought myself a new set of clothes. It was so much fun. Keep doing what u r doing.
Thanks for the positive feedback. It's great to hear other's success stories!
Each day I log in to CC someone's story touches me in some way or motivates a stronger will and desire to success. I used to love reading those before and after stories in weight loss magazines but this is so much better. It is day to day almost minute to minute with some folks. Most people here want everyone to do their best. When we trip up, and we all do, someone will give an encouraging word to keep going.
You can expect continued, steady weight loss if you stick to the principles on this site. It's slow, and it gets very tiring at times. But the little successed DO add up to be big ones if you keep putting one foot in front of the other and don't quit.
And heck, even if you quit, you can always start again. Just that one step ... then the next. Until one day you are astounded to find that the little successes finally added up to one darn big one.
There are so many cool 'little' things that happen
- when your legs cross easily & comfortably.
- the day you notice that you no longer have a double chin.
- the moment you see yourself in a mirror..sitting (egads!) and your butt doesn't look a mile wide!
- when you notice muscle definition on your legs.
- the time you scratch your tummy where the roll under your bra used to be...and it's gone!! Yay!
