A little vegetarian competition
Hey Im Teri,
I was born vegetarian and have only ever tried chicken once. Having been brought up not to eat meat, I found that the texture was just too crazy chewy for me.
Anyway to cut a long story short, Ive always found that I was most successful at losing weight when I had a little bit of competition. I'm really looking to see if theres any others in the same situation that fancies keeping in touch with the other and sharing hints, tips and successes to spur the other on.

If I meet the requirements Id like to join your competition. Thing is, Im a on again off again pescetarian, mainly because I fall weak to temptation sometimes lol. I know some "straight up" vegetarians dont consider "pescetarians" to be "real vegetarians".
If Im able to, Id like to join because Im very competetive lol. So Id probably lose more. And it would help me to stick to my prefered pescetarian lifestyle.

Good Morning Girlies,
I'll let you know where I am at,
I was always stick thin growing up until I went on the pill suddnely my metabolism got a bit messed up and i started to gain weight. I never noticed any size differences at all - it didnt strike me that i was over weight until I reached a british size 16. I bought a set of scales for the first time in my life and was shocked to see that I was 14 stone 9. (205 pounds)
I freaked out then tried every diet possible from slimming patches and pills to starvation and fad diets. What eventually worked was when i joined slimming world and had regular weigh ins every week. I just had to win scottish slimmer of the week and so i did , every week losing about 4 pounds a week.
Currently I am on the slimfast diet having a milkshake for breakie, again for lunch and a healthy dinner, Im also going to attempt to exercise more often to. I am currently at 170.pounds (12 stone 2) i am aiming to get to 10 stones (140 pounds)
How are things at your end ?

Well I was thinking that since the 2 things that are holding us from our goals are lack of exercise and making healthy choices rather than fads we could award ourself points on this ?
Like Report back on a daily basis of our
BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, SNACKS, EXERCISE and WEIGHT this way not only will we be able to pick up on where we are going wrong but also where we are going right as well. With Regards to the competition we should set a challenge ie. first person to lose 7lbs sets the next challenge whether its to introduce something to the diet/exercise plan or to try and omit something for a time period.
What are your thoughts?

Friendly competition is always great with me. Should we message each other or just post here? I think the first person to loose x amount of weight would be interesting. As far as noting breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and exercises that may be a bit too much for me to keep up with!
How about then we call it first one to half a stone (7lbs) calls the next target?
Im weighing in at 167 pounds and feeling great cause Ive just passed my under 12 stone mark. (11 stone 13)
Can I join?? I actually don't want to lose that much weight, but I gained a bit studying abroad first semester in Germany (still here) and am looking to get back to my formerly fit self. I am 5'3" and 122lbs but would like to be more around 112-115. But it would really be great to have a circle of vegetarian support, I don't think it matters what your goals are. I am also rather competitive lol. Since typing out my day would be a tad tedious, I'll stick to the highlights. For example, I made a yummy brown rice and lentil with carrots dish today....healthy, nutritious, and powered me through a run! Also, plenty of leftovers haha. Let me know! xx

How did you get on yesterday?
BREAKFAST - slimfast milkshake - banana - 217 cals
LUNCH - slimfast milkshake - strawberry (it tastes like ice cream !!) - 217 cals
DINNER - half a pizza - 444 cals (eek)
&nb sp; bombay potato - 150cals (half pack)
SNACKS -2x Nectarines
EXERCISE - I bought a wee stepper thingy from Tesco for only £20 on sunday and decided to give it a go while I watched the TV. Managed to do it for a full hour while watchin Dragons Den. According to the wee computer thing I burned about 400 cals.
If I managed to make that 500 cals a night I could burn an extra 1lb off a week. Heres hoping I keep that up.
