I am from Maine.... orginally from Ma...  Use to spend quite a bit of time when I was younger  in Stoddard NH at Highland lake... Now I make it as far as Manchester, either to the airport... or to SNHU... where my son will be a jr this coming year..   Where in NH are you from?

Debi
I'm in MA, outside of Boston. I'm in NH allllll the time though!
I really like that state motto.  But I'm from California.  "Eureka!" or something.
I think the California state motto is "Eat Quiche or Die"
I'm originally an MA gal, so technically I am a NH convert too.

Too bad about the old man and all.... considering it was like the state's defining symbol or something!
I live on the seacoast of NH
I'm disappointed there aren't more people from NH on CC....
Pff...I live in PA and there's like 3 of us on here.  This entire huge state...and 3 people.  At least NH is small and you have a good reason.
I am! haha I saw the slogan and I was like, hey! that's my state motto, what's going on in here! haha I live down close to MA by Nashua lol how about you?

take care
NH resident here. Wow NH is either full of overweight people or health conscious people... lol I think the latter.
I live in Nashua!

I could have wrote - "Anyone from NH?" but anyone from NH should pick up on the "live free or die" motto.  I think it is so funny when we take friends out in NH and everyone's like "ew I forgot they still allow smoking up here" or when you drive down the highway and people are like "I can't believe they don't have a helmet law for motorcycles".  My response?..... Hey, live free or die, man! (not that I smoke or ride w/out a helmet, it is just NH you know?)
haha that's too funny! I live in Hudson haha... so true though- everything about the Live Free or Die... haha :)

take care.
Another Maineiac here. I do have two sons that live in NH though. New Hampton, NH.
I'll be down there in a couple of weeks for a camping trip (RV, cheating camping)
Hey chasd60, where in Maine are you from?  I am up in Boothbay.
Hey Aubrey,

Tell your brother next time you write to him, that I said thank you for joining and serving his country...  You will love graduation..its the most awesome event you will ever see.  (then again, that could be just the mother in me..lol)   Tell your mom, there are alot of great support groups for Marine parents and siblings online...if she or you are  interested or has questions... just  get in touch with me..my email is on my profile.  Semper Fi....

PS... I have a daughter your age... and I think its awesome you have lost so much weight.. and are making yourself healthy.
Live in Richmond, Work in South Portland.

I was in the Coast Guard Reserve many years ago and went to the Coast Guard Station In Boothbay Harbor.
Yep, I live in a Coastie town... lol   I recently "adopted" ( I swear I collect kids)  a lovely newbie coast guard girl... she comes to the house to cook and eat real food, and just hang out on her time off... I keep telling her, she had better get a GPS system... she somehow always ends up in Augusta from Portland and then has to call for directions back to the harbor... it scares me she is on a boat...lol  But she did study hard and got E-3 yesturday. (I am not sure how that happened)
dshep- hey! thanks, I'll be writing him a letter soon, so I'll defintaly tell him what you said :)... yes I did hear that the ceramony is amazing-unlike any other military graduation. And yeah, my parents both joined a Marine parent group website thing, it's pretty good for them. Okay thanks! :)... and thanks again :)

take care.
