What do you DO for a living?
Do you work outside the home? If so, what do you do for a living?
If not, what was your last job?
If you are a student, what are you studying?
Currently working part time just for something to do here in boring Louisiana. I'm the "scale master" at a gravel pit. Basically all I do is weigh out the trucks (and play on the internet the other 4 hours! - very cushy job!)
In my prior life in California, I was a Work Comp claims adjuster for a national insurance co. I'm hoping to move to Tennessee soon and get rehired at that same company.
I'm retired after working all my life. It's great! All of you, save up for retirement! Make it a priority.
My job for the last 10 years I worked was as a purchasing agent for a large, industrial corporation. Before that I worked in customer service and as an administrative assistant. My first job at age 14 was in a grocery store stocking shelves. While I was in college I worked as a waitress. When my children were small I worked at their school as a library assistant, and also had a part time job washing glassware in a bio chem lab at Penn.
This is my first experience staying home with nothing to worry about, and I love it!
Well I'm a student who studies mining engineering.
Currently I'm working for BHP Billiton in Yellowknife at the Diamond mines up here. Before the summer started I was working for an oil company in Fort Mcmurray. I am currently a long range planner, but I have done some short and long range planning while I worked for the oil company.
I have 1 year of school left to finish that starts in september. After that I'm not sure where I will go, but I've considered doing some work in Australia.
I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids and a baby. So, I am an event planner, meal planner, chef, life coach, counselor, caregiver, sanitary professional (plumber, butt wiper, diaper changer), referee, pet caregiver, teacher, laundress, chauffer, stylist, and leader of the marching band.........and actor..(my most current roles are various Transformer and Power Rangers....or any kind of superhero). Wouldn't change it for the world...just wish I got paid for it.
I used to be a paralegal, but really just a secretary.
My job title is technically "Quality Engineer", but I do a lot of project, product, and manufacturing engineering as well. Used to work mostly with suppliers, but am being transitioned to do more internal work with audits and standards compliance.
On edit: My night and weekend job is, as my hubby put it, "domestic goddess" - but I'm really doing the best I can manage. My most frequent roles with that are oviraptor, parasaurolophus, horsie, cook, first aid provider, and bride.
I'm a software engineer. I work on a defense related project and we'll leave it at that. ;) Yes, for the other code monkeys out there, that means I write in Ada. And I enjoy it. :P
Next year will be ten years in my job! Whew!
Another engineer here. Semiconductor Electronics.
I am a real estate attorney for a big firm in the US.
just finishing up a master's in social work. before this i was a youth worker for a decade. naturally, my undergrad is in english lit.
Between sorting through requisition orders from multiple doctors and nurses on one patient in order to get everything done within one or two pokes and racing to the emergency room whenever there's a trauma, work is never boring.
Another Engineer here.
I am interning this summer but am in school full time as a Mechanical engineer.
Next year I want to start working on a master in international public health and nutrition
Right now I'm taking a year off. I took the summer completely off, now I'm getting a job or two doing whatever to save money. In Febraury I'm going to either Africa to work on a conservation project, or India to teach English in the mountains until June
I'm a CPA, working in Commercial Real Estate.
No, I'm not good with numbers, and I don't do taxes. ;)
I'm an Interior Designer, but I work for a construction company, I assist the business development department and deal with all the cities for permitting purposes

I'm a phlebotomist at a large, local hospital. I draw blood from hour old babies to hundred year old fogeys and everything in between, sometimes in places you wonder how the hell one could possibly obtain blood from.

Heh, reminds me of the stories from when I was born - they had to draw blood every hour and ran out of spots on hands and feet, so they shaved my head and got blood from those veins. Ick. :)
i'm a full time psychology student, and i work full time for the anesthesia department at a hospital.
random combo, i know lol
I'm a Document Controls Coordinator/Records Manager for an Oil & Gas Co.
I also consider myself a super-slueth, if email/files/paper was touched by anyone in our department I can find it.
I'm a trainer for a financial services company.
I also write on the side, but that hasn't brought in any money.
I work for my boyfriend's photography business.
And I'm currently working on a project with him that could be successful, but as for now I'm searching for grants to fund it.
Oh, and I edit resumes/help with essays for applications, and coach people on intrviewing. I'm waiting to get some successes under my belt before I start charging, so now it's all just stuff I do for friends, but I think I'll be able to bring in some good money that way.
