Do you work outside the home?  If so, what do you do for a living?

If not, what was your last job?

If you are a student, what are you studying?

Currently I am a Research Clerk for the Research Ethics Board for three major research hospitals in my city. Plus I work at Starbucks and a restaurant part time everynight.

Starting next week I will be a Fashion Management student, while still working at Starbucks and a restaurant.

Gonna be a doctor or psychiatrist or marine biologist :o)

Come on, I cannot be the ONLY journalist here! Yep, I'm finishing my last semester of journalism school, but I'm also a freelancer in my *HA!* "spare time." This summer I was also a greeter at the Department of Motor Vehicles: talk about an interesting/boring job! I stood at the door, handed out forms, answered questions, and directed traffic. Oh, and listened to all the sob stories, rants, complaints, and out and out tirades that came through the door. I should seriously write a book.

After I finish my degree in eek! december, I really want to work abroad, maybe through a EFL program. If anyone has any info on that (is doing it, has done it, knows how to break in) PLEASE message me! Yes, this is a shameless cry for networking help.

And for the second part of the question, this is what I've always wanted to do. My skill set just so happened to match my childhood dream. Go figure!

I am a medical librarian and I love what I do!

I'm 19 (turning 20) and I work 4 shifts a week at a Subway close to campus. I also study Linguistics and am going to the first year of my masters degree. Besides studying full-time and working 20 hours a week I am also going to be a teaching assistant this year for two tutorials. I don't really know how much time that will take per week, but I've been told maybe 10 hours a week grading stuff/ attending the lecture for that class/ lesson plans.

It sounds like I have a busy life but it's really boring - and I'd rather just focus on my studies, but I have rent, food, tuition, books, etc. to pay for. :(

I am an Office Technician working for the State of California.

In particular, I work with Communications. This means I do a lot of scheduling, organizing, filing, sending emails, making calls, and more organizing.

I also happen to have a BS in Media Arts & Animation, which I'm going to be putting to use soon, hopefully, working on Graphics for the State.

I have been a  geriatric physical therapist for 20 years.  Currently working for a very large home care agency. (For the international crowd we are called physiotherapists [which I personally love Smile])

Now they are having the students in college for 6-7 years which is a lot more time for no more pay. We went 4 years and are "grandfathered" in as grads have either masters or doctorates now.  Don't know if I would go that route now or just go on a few more years for a MD.

I'm a student (Dramaramarama) ndin the summeri do summer playwork, in a playscheme for kids under 14 and over 5 :D tis great fun

Me too! I became one too! I dunno... I envisioned it a bit different though... I guess a different mentality, a different virus.  I still love it regardless.

I'm a veterinarian.  I stopped working in Feb 08 to take a year off.  Will be going back to work in January 09.

I am currently working as an Account Manager for a small Advertising Agency in NYC.  That said, I am really going to try to work my way into brand management eventually, but for now I like the place I work and the job, while stressful, is very informative and helpful in developing my skills.

Sounds like a good plan to me! LOL

I am an environmental/project manager for a mining company. Love what I do, most of the time...although the leech wife sounds pretty good sometimes, too!!

I am a full-time celebrity gossipist! You want to know anything about any Celebrity - I can tell you! (This is why I am studying Broadcast Journalism at CU-Boulder)

I'm currently a full-time student...junior...and a Biology major.  Once I graduate I'm hoping to go to graduate school at the University of Southern Miss. to study Marine Mammal Cognition and Behavior.  While I'm at school I volunteer at the nearby aquarium with seals, sea lions, and beluga whales to get experience.  They are the most amazing animals and I miss them (I'm currently studying abroad in Australia for the semester).  I'm not sure exactly what I want to do, but I've got time for that.

My latest 'actual' job was this past summer (and the summer before that) I worked in a tree canopy walkway, wearing a harness all day, taking people through the trees 50 feet in the air and then sending them down a zip line.  It was a pretty fun, yet tiring, summer job.

I am a 38 year old (soon to be 39) Medical Technician with the Canadian Military.  I have my Nursing Diploma and Paramedic certification. I have been in the military since I was 17 (part-time) and joined full-time after I graduated from High School in 1988.  I met my husband during "boot camp" (basic training in 1989).  I have over 20 years in and can retire with a full pension at anytime now...Smile     My goal after I retire from the military is to never work full-time again!
