do you log the good and bad on the your weight loss charts?

or would you wait until you have lost?

i know it would be hard for me to log the bad ones but i feel i must do it so if i am having a  hard time it will help me get it out in the open and if  i need to talk about it then it will help me to do that too.

Yeah, I log the good and bad, because overall it always goes down.  Then, the next time I gain a pound I can look at my little line and think "ok, this has happened before and it's temporary.  No biggie."

Also, it keeps me honest :)
yes.

and it was hard for me to do at first (for about 4 - 6 mos).

but i needed to be real with myself and figure out what really is an appropriate way to eat and exercise so that I can make this work.  I needed to quit avoiding or ignoring the truth.

I finally realized that counting calories or weighing ourselves are just tools ~ a way to measure stuff.

What we really need to focus on is the process.  How we eat and exercise.  If we focus on what we are doing, the results will follow...
I do too.  I hated doing it at first, but when I made up my mind to start tracking things, I wanted to track everything.  That way I can look back at what I did and get the most honest answer.  Don't beat yourself up for your bad days, just learn from them and try to move on the best you can.
I log all weights every morning, good, bad and ugly.

I used to not log all the calories and food eaten, but now I do, there is really no other way to follow your calorie intake properly and make lifestyle changes based on that.
It sucks....but I think it makes your trend line more accurate, to sort of see where you're going.
yeah, and it hurts!!
I only weight my self monthly - sometimes every 2 months so i think only once have i had to log an increase!! woohoo! But basically yeh i record good and bad.
Yep, good and bad, as hard as it is.  the benefit though, is that over time, I'm beginning to see a slight downward trend, in spite of all of the fluctuations.  And I'm noticing the same 3-4 lb increase at the same time every month.  It makes it a little easier when you know to expect it!
i log both up and down, because what i've been noticing is that right before i lose, my weight will jump up for a couple of days. Then it will drop down to less than it was before.

I do the good and bad which has allowed me to see my own body's trends.  I know that there is somewhat of a pattern and like roguette, I've noticed that I will gain some and then usually drop to a new low.  It motivates me not to give up when the scale shows more weight.
I log it all. I feel less guilty if I do.  Plus I tend to think I have blown it when I eat more than usual and I am pleasantly surprised when I haven't done as much damage as I thought.
Last year I mostly only logged weeks when I had a loss.  I just wanted the motivation of seeing that chart.  This year, after a prolonged plateau, I'm logging once a week no matter what.  Now what I want is a true picture of progress.
Yes, I log the good and the bad.  If I've binged or eaten something I shouldn't have, putting it into the system really forces me to take a look at how I've disappointed myself.
I most definitely log it all.  Every couple of days I take a look at my analysis and review the previous days.  If I have been "bad" I will eat less calories (no less than 1250 though) and/or exercise more throughout the week to cancel out.
I only log the good.....and I only log it if it's been down at least 2 weigh-ins in a row because of the water weight thing.  So yeah....I guess I just don't like to see it go up when I'm working my arse off exercising and then eating right on top of it....

Mental game, yeah, but it helps me out.  I guess whatever works for each person, right???  :)
