I've decided to take the traditional route and give up meat for lent. Any suggestions as to how this should pan out?

If you are concerned about the protein loss, you can replace it with legumes, peanut butter, seafood.........Google Protein foods and there should be a million options for you there.

I'm from South Louisiana, and abstaining from meat on Fridays is not a sacrifice at all! Depending on where you live, you might have abundant seafood available. Also, look into good bean dishes, stews, and soups. If you like tofu, try stir-frying it with veggies. Also, sushi is delicious and is often meat-free! Good luck :-) I'm going to try to give up chocolate...ahh we'll see how that goes!

Okay, maybe not so traditional. I'm giving it up for the entirety of lent :) Thanks for the advice.

Good luck with the chocolate :)
